Footsteps Lichfield Nursery & Pre-School

Fantastic nursery, really glad we chose to send our daughter here. With the ongoing Covid pandemic we were nervous to send our daughter to nursery at all but we have been more than satisfied with the measures taken by Footsteps Nursery & Forest School (Hawthorn). One of the key factors that led to us choosing this nursery was the Forest School, we love the encouragement to get outside and learn. The staff are all lovely and really care for the progression of my child's skills and learning. We love the apps as it gives us a glimpse of my daughters day as well as keeping us informed of nursery news. Then there's the food - her dad wishes he could pop round on lunch breaks as the meals sound great!

Friendly and caring staff who have set our mind at ease during the first 8 months that our daughter has been at the nursery. Our daughter loves going in each day, she has learnt and developed so much in the time she has been attending.

My little boy started at Footsteps Nursery & Forest School (Hawthorn) in January 2020 at nine months old. To say he settled well is an understatement. He adores all the staff there and constantly tells my husband and I that his key worker is nice. We can see development in him each time we pick him up. Fantastic nursery and staff, couldn’t recommend anymore. Thank you!

My daughter started at Footsteps in January 2021 and I have been immensely impressed by the positive approach by all staff I have interacted with. My daughter really enjoys attending and Footsteps have helped make this big step for her seamless. I would like to thank all the staff for their professionalism, particularly in such a challenging time with the Covid pandemic.

My son has been at the preschool here since September and I've got nothing but amazing things to say. The staff have gone over and above and shown a huge level of enthusiasm to get to know him and understanding his needs. We always feel welcome. He is a very happy boy there and clearly extremely looked after. Management are great and everything feels very well organised. Can't recommend this nursery enough.

Footsteps have provided my daughter with an abundance of care and support towards her development since the age of 1. They have dealt with Covid brilliantly; separate entrances, use of masks/sanitiser, outdoor pick/drop-offs. Since moving up to toddlers, she has created good bonds with staff and loves attending nursery. Specific activities on the days she attends are forest schools, cooking club and fitness Fridays. She has started to learn Makaton with home learning resources to support, which is brilliant for the family to engage with. An app is available to watch your child’s development. My daughter has become a very good eater, which is due to the variety available. What drew me to this nursery is its love for the outdoors, the staff are approachable and caring. A daily diary of your child’s day is available on pick up, which helps understand what they enjoyed doing, what they ate/how much. My daughter's speech has developed so much since attending. Thank you to all girls in toddlers.

Superb nursery, I've seen my little boy develop really well with the support of some superb staff. It must be said that the nursery has handled the pandemic brilliantly and we are really thankful to them for everything they have done in this difficult time. One happy Daddy.

We love Footsteps Nursery & Forest School (Hawthorn). So much that we have moved quite far away and we refuse to move our son because of how fantastic it is. He has come on leaps and bounds since starting here at nine months old. The staff absolutely love him and offer him the opportunity to get messy, explore different textures and learn. We cannot fault the staff and the setting is clean, light and inviting. If I could give a six-star rating I would!

Footsteps Hawthorn setting is fantastic - my daughter has the best time there, loves her key workers and all the staff. Her development is doing brilliantly under their care. She sleeps well and eats well and learns something new every day. The setting is organised very well, and the management team are contactable, quick to respond and invest in the nursery and its future. We particularly love the slant of the natural material to the toys and activities, and the extra-curricular activities such as cooking club and forest school.

Staff seemed engaged with a genuine fondness and concern for the children.

The welcome the children receive at Footsteps Hawthorn sets the happy zone for the day. The smiling staff reassure the kids from the first minute and us as parents know our little boy is going to have a fun learning day. The forest school and outdoor space in general warrants a special mention.

The food is fantastic, and the activities/forest school are fun.

My son started at Footsteps when he was 6-months-old. The staff made both him and me feel welcome. He comes home happy, tired and calm. I particularly appreciate the daily reports and detail the staff put into explaining his day to me. I feel confident in their care when I drop him off every day. He is 12-months now and continues to enjoy nursery every day.

I cannot recommend Footsteps Hawthorn enough, my daughter has been attending Footsteps since January 2018 and is only leaving in August 2020 to move to reception. My daughter has learned a lot, gained a lovely group of friends and created a lovely bond with the staff members. I would highly recommend this nursery to any age of child.

An amazing nursery with fabulous staff that can’t do enough for the children. My little girl absolutely loves going every week and gets so excited. Staff have been so supportive and brilliant during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lichfield Hawthrones is a fantastic nursery! My child attended here since he was 11 months old. The nursery is such an exciting and engaging environment for the children. The variety of activities and resources they have available is invaluable to the development of the children. The outside space is huge and offers so many different aspects and learning/play opportunities. We love the forest school. The real highlight though is the staff, caring and considerate from day one. Everyone is so helpful and enthusiastic and genuinely so friendly. The support we have received from every stage of my little boy's time here has been amazing. The girls have encouraged and nurtured him so much and his confidence has skyrocketed. The manager is fantastic and clearly has a passion for what she does. We will be really sorry to leave when my little boy goes to school in September.

My little one has loved Rising 3's and can’t wait to move into the big boy room (pre-school). There is never anything that’s been too much trouble, my son's diet/allergies, medication and creams required. They have really cared for him and I’m forever singing their praises to new parents looking for a nursery setting. Most definitely recommend Footsteps.

This nursery is absolutely fantastic. Everything about it from the wonderful staff to the forest school and facilities are truly excellent. We moved from Sutton Coldfield to Lichfield and had to settle my two-year-old son into a new nursery which I was initially worried about but as soon as we saw the setting we were super impressed. We visited most in Lichfield but this was definitely the best. The staff were great at helping him settle in and he has really blossomed in the short time he has been there. The staff are thorough, professional and you know your children are in safe and more than competent hands. Each room has set activities and structures and messy play is set up before the children even have breakfast. I could not recommend this place more highly! A wonderful start to life for any child.
