The staff at Footsteps are exceptionally attentive, ensuring that each nursery day is filled with a wide variety of engaging activities. This level of dedication and care is evident in every aspect of the nursery's operation, from the thoughtfully planned schedules to the nurturing environment that
they create for the children. Both of our children attend Footsteps, and it is clear that they eagerly look forward to their weekly sessions. The excitement and enthusiasm they show each week reflect the positive experiences they have while at the nursery.

Footsteps is a lovely nursery the staff are very friendly and show warmth, care and passion in meeting the children’s needs the management are always welcoming and keeps us up to date with any information or events via the app overall my son has settled well and enjoys his time at nursery.

After returning back to work in January as any mother you worry about how well your child is going to settle and my little boy absolutely loves nursery and the girls in the baby room. The girls are brilliant, caring and compassionate. We get updates throughout the day on what he's eaten and photos every
now and again which is lovely to see. The outdoor spaces are also great for the children to explore.

The staff are incredibly friendly and clearly love working with the children. My daughter has been attending the nursery since she was 10 months old. She is now 2.5 years and she has absolutely thrived. The staff are so personable, they are my daughter's best friends she's always talking about them!
She has a number of allergies and I've always felt confident they will manage these as best they could, any concerns have always been taken very seriously and they still provide her with varied and nutritious meals despite her restrictive diet. Feel very comfortable with them caring for her.

We have found Footsteps to be such a wonderful nursery for our little boy.
The staff have been wonderful from the very first contact we made to enquire about the nursery.
Everyone is really friendly, encouraging and knowledgeable.
He has settled so well with his key worker and the other members
of staff, and we are so happy to see how much he enjoys the sessions.

We have two sons at Footsteps Hawthorn, one in the baby room and one in preschool. Our oldest has been here since baby room and during the last 3+ years, I can only say the nursery has been exemplary and outstanding. The activities are varied and culturally enriching, the food is nutritious, the site
is surrounded by nature, and all the staff we have dealt with are considerate, polite, caring and mostly very immersed in each child's development. Our oldest son is a little shy and the staff make extra effort to involve him, whilst our youngest is a bit more outgoing and he has developed incredibly thanks to the care of the team members. The price is reasonable considering the local market also and we think it's value for money. COVID and other illnesses are handled and communicated well as are any required medicines. Our youngest needed an inhaler for a while and the staff eased our minds with their professionalism. All in all, nothing but great things to say and we are very thankful to them.

My son has started in the Rising 3's room at Footsteps and has been made to feel so welcome and secure in his surroundings. The staff have all been amazing and helped him settle in and adapt to a new environment and people so well. They have been so supportive with his behaviours which at times can
be challenging and really made me feel reassured as a mum that he is in good hands.

My daughter has attended footsteps for just over a year and my son had attended previously. I couldn't recommend this nursery enough! They go above and beyond ensuring they have lots of fun and learn along the way. My daughter gets so excited to come and has formed a lovely bond with her keyworker.
I love that it's a small nursery and definitely feel that because of this it allows more of a personal touch within the setting. Highly recommend 5*

My little boy has been with the nursery since January 2022 where he started in the babies room and has now moved up to the toddler room. We have always had such a positive experience with him being at Footsteps Lichfield. He builds such a loving bond with his key workers which just shows how comfortable
he feels. Cannot recommend it enough.

Since starting at nursery my son has thrived. Not only does he enjoy every day, the staff really know him, not just his key worker. He eats all the food, loves the varied activities and is under excellent care and supervision. The app the nursery uses keeps us up to date with what is happening and it
has allowed a smooth transition for me returning to work and for him to start in a new setting. I know he will continue to come on leaps and bounds.

My son started at Footsteps when he was one year old, so has been in the baby room, toddlers and now the rising 3s group. He really enjoys his time at the nursery and the lovely staff who work there. We have seen him grow in confidence and big improvements in his speech and social skills since he has
been going. It's a lovely space, and we particularly value the outside space and forest school they have.

The staff in both my children's rooms are kind and caring and have really made a difference to the start of their education. The admin staff are helpful and accommodating. Communication across the nursery is excellent.

We have never once worried about our child at nursery, she loves it and the staff are amazing. The support they give is brilliant. She loves all of the activities, especially drawing, painting and yoga.

Hawthorn nursery has outstanding facilities and excellent staff, each member of the team is warm and welcoming and goes above and beyond for each child, from making sure they settle into their new environment, to playing and helping them grow. they cover a large range of activities and my child absolutely
loves attending nursery. I wouldn't send them anywhere else.

A great nursery! They always have interesting, stimulating activities, such as themed weeks and outside organisations coming in, e.g. Spanish lessons, music, and sports lessons. I especially think the rising threes and preschool rooms have been particularly beneficial for my daughter.

My child really struggled socialising before starting at Footsteps. But she is thriving now thanks to every single member of staff we met. They have all helped and had an influence in her last year of nursery. Could not fault it.

At a time when my daughter was not feeling too well, her key worker looked after her so well and stayed with her to comfort her until I was able to pick her up. Thank you for always being so understanding and caring.

Staff are always very friendly from the moment we enter in the morning. Even when my child has a bad morning, and isn't keen on leaving us, the staff are always on hand to help - taking him from us calmly and helping him to settle. Very reassuring and always happy for us to call and check. Lovely warm
and friendly atmosphere in all rooms. Management is approachable when I have queries or questions. Outdoor space is the best thing about this nursery (aside from the staff) - fantastic that the children have so much space and different areas to explore.

Hello, my name is Becky, and I have been working in the early years since 1996. I have been a Nursery Manager since 2014 and joined Footsteps in 2017.


I am level 5 qualified in early childhood and level 3 forest school.


I am passionate about the outdoors and believe that outdoor environments are essential to a child’s learning and development.


Our nursery offers activities, experiences, and opportunities for children to thrive, and our dedicated staff team cater for each child’s individual needs.

When I started working here at Lichfield Nursery, I was employed as a level 2 qualified nursery nurse, however, over the years I have developed my professional career within the company.


I have worked my way up to become a level 3 qualified nursery nurse, level 3 SENCO officer and Deputy Manager.


I am very dedicated to my job; I have a strong passion for planning challenging activities daily and watching children thrive in their learning and development.
