My child has attended the setting since he was 10 months old, he is really settled and really enjoys coming to nursery. There are days where he is a bit unsettled when I drop him off but the staff are excellent and he normally settles down within a few minutes of me leaving him.
The parentzone app is excellent and helps us keep a track of what he has eaten throughout the day, the observations are also lovely to read after a long day at work.
My child enjoys it that much it takes me almost 10 minutes to get him out of the nursery every evening.
My daughter attends the Pre School at St Matthews and she loves it. She is excited to go every morning and her confidence has increased greatly. The staff in the room are excellent. They keep the parents updated and involved in the current topic so we can continue to discuss this at home. A few weeks ago my daughter had a relapse with toilet training and getting herself dressed. I spoke to the staff members and they were so helpful offering advice to try at home and they also completed some activities with the children about morning routines which really helped resolve the issue quickly. The activities are excellent, creating rockets in the garden, making cookies and cakes, kinetic sand etc. Having the parent zone app on my phone is also a great tool for keeping in touch. I can see what she has eaten in the day and any pictures or observations that have been completed. I would certainly recommend this nursery.
The nursery is very we'll equipped and provides excellent quality childcare ranging from good quality food to more than capable nursery staff.
when he started I was a little nervous and the staff helped with this transition.
He has always been really happy to go into nursery and very rarely got upset
He has made some lovely bonds with all the staff team and nothing is ever to much for them either.
They are very accommodating with extra sessions.
He is now 18 months old and still really enjoys his days at nursery.
I have access to see what he has been doing in the day via parent zone.
Busy Bees at St Matthews is a fantastic nursery. The staff really care about the welfare and development of my daughter. She had a short period of physio and staff helped her daily exercises. The nursery is immaculate and has a real family friendly atmosphere. The food is great too! I also love that I can drop my daughter off in the mornings knowing that I don't have to take wipes/nappies/bottles/milk - it' all provided by Busy Bees at St Matthews.
My child enjoys attending nursery here at Busy Bees. All the staff are very welcoming and he has a great rapport with his key staff member. Since starting Busy Bees at the age of 2, we have seen great improvements in his social skills and in other developmental areas. He is always very excited at the end of the day to tell mommy and daddy what activities he has done throughout the day and will sometimes apply these at home to everyday situations. Our son is a very fussy eater, however, staff have managed to get him to eat or try some different foods and they have given us recipes/pictures of meals that he enjoys at nursery, for us to replicate at home. We really find the parent app very good too as it is very informative regarding his day at nursery and when there are pictures/videos posted it is nice to see him doing the activities he talks about.
My older daughter also attended Busy Bees for 3 years so I know my daughter will grow in confidence with her time there.
Both of my children attended Busy Bees at St Matthews. My eldest has recently left to go to school and I cannot praise the staff highly enough for turning him into the sociable, confident boy he started school as. As a result of attending this nursery the transition to school was seamless. He already understood good routines and was used to interacting with peers and adults. My youngest still attends Busy Bees and the staff have been incredibly accommodating when he had to have an operation. Risk assessments for his return were done extremely quickly and communication between staff was exemplary. The staff at this nursery are incredibly friendly and really get to know the children quickly and genuinely care about them. My children love Busy Bees at St Matthews and so do I as a parent. I feel confident when I leave my child that he will be safe, cared for and experience a wide range of stimulating activities.
My son struggled to adjust to the nursery setting when I first went back to work. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating to his needs and ours. As a result, our settling in period was extended without question and we've never looked back. Busy Bees has also accommodated our little one when we've needed. The range of activities offered, the facilities and moreover the staff are brilliant!!! They are incredibly supportive, kind and caring and everyone is so friendly. The variety of foods offered has broadened our fussy eater's tastes and willingness to try new things.
Over the past few years, both of my children have attended Busy Bees at St. Matthews Nursery and have thoroughly enjoyed their time. The staff are fantastic and cared so very much for my children. My son is in the pre-school room at present and loves coming every day.

Meet the Team (2)
Hello, I’m Sonia I am currently the Centre Director here at Burntwood. I have been in the childcare industry for 17 years and gained both my BTEC National Diploma Level 3 and a Foundation Degree in Early Years along the way.
I have worked for Busy Bees since 2010 and I have been in a variety of roles across all of the different rooms. I have worked my way up to my current position gaining valuable experience along the way. I have 2 small children who both attend Busy Bees which has supported them with their learning and development along the way.
We treat all children as unique and build outstanding relationships with our families, helping the children to feel safe and secure. I will continue to support the team at Burntwood to ensure we provide the best possible care for the children, ensuring the best possible start in life.
Hello, my name is Sarah. I gained my CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education at college. I then went on to begin working in a nursery. When starting my career in childcare I worked as a support staff member, covering staff holidays and absences. I then gained a permanent position within the nursery. Over the years I have worked my way up through different roles to the position I am in today. During my time managing a nursery before joining Busy Bees, I decided to take on a new challenge and completed my Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies around my working hours.
I have worked with Busy Bees since 2015 when I took on my role as Assistant Centre Director. I have supported the team through the years and have worked within many of the rooms alongside the staff. I had a short break in my time at Busy Bees to have my son. Upon my return, my son began nursery and is flourishing from his time here.
