Sandhills Day Nursery Barnt Green embraces a uniquely home from home feel. Situated in a converted house, the nursery provides 5 rooms and access to 3 outdoor spaces, giving children plenty of space and opportunity to learn and develop.

Its small size is what makes Barnt Green truly unique. The intimate setting allows each of the nursery teams to know all the children and families personally, giving the nursery a really welcoming, family feel; whilst the children are able to socialise with all age groups giving them the change to further develop their social skills and confidence.

Promoting healthy practices is at the core of the nursery, with children participating in activities which aid a healthy lifestyle, eating healthy meals and doing regular exercise. The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

Outdoor learning plays a key role in the nursery and children will often be outside exploring all that the outdoor spaces have to offer, come rain or shine!

My daughter has been attending Sandhills Day Nursery Barnt Green since she was 10 months old. She has settled in so easily, which has been a huge weight off my mind. The staff are wonderful with her. She eats and sleeps well and enjoys all the activities. When I pick her up, she is always smiling. We
love getting updates on the app to find out what she has been up to.

I have been very impressed with the staff at Sandhills, who look after our daughter. They are very engaging and have some great facilities, in particular the outdoor area. Engagement with parents is good, and there are often events outside of normal hours that involve both parents and children. I have
never had any concerns about leaving our daughter in the care of Sandhills, and she always speaks about how much fun she has had. From my personal experience, what has let Sandhills down in the billing dept. Invoices are constantly wrong (we have not had a correct one since day one), and they have been very hard to get in touch with as they seem to only want to communicate via email. I also would like to see more information put in the app.

As a group, we are always trying to improve our communication with our families. We aim to provide high-quality and regular updates through our social media channels, monthly nursery newsletter, bi-monthly group newsletter and via our parent app. Following the changes to the EYFS in September 2021, the number of updates that you will receive on the parent app will have reduced to once per week. The new EYFS curriculum aims to reduce the nursery team's paperwork/admin workload so that they can spend more valuable time with the children in their care.

Sandhills Day Nursery Barnt Green is a lovely nursery with really caring staff who look after my daughter with the highest level of care. The nursery has recently been refurbished, and it is a lovely bright and modern environment for the children to learn and play. The communication from staff is excellent,
with the newsletters and online app. My daughter has loved her time at Sandhills, and I have always felt she has been in the best of hands. We will be sad when she leaves for school in August.

Sandhills has been excellent with our daughter. They helped her adjust to nursery life and worked closely with us to give her the best start. They have managed her dietary requirements brilliantly and have communicated excellently with us. Staff are friendly, caring and professional.

The nursery has recently been refurbished to a lovely standard. The staff are friendly and welcoming and always keep you updated on your child’s progress via the app, with pictures and comments throughout the day.

Our daughter has been attending nursery for 5-months now and settled much more quickly than we thought she might, given the pandemic and limited opportunities for contact with other little ones. She has developed a lovely relationship with the nursery staff, and her confidence (especially with her
speech) has grown significantly. The dedicated staff have all been so supportive and made the disruption of the recent refurbishment very easy to deal with. The newly refurbished nursery is comfortable, warm and welcoming, and our daughter is very relaxed and comfortable there. We look forward to the updates we get during the day giving little glimpses of what our daughter is up to, and she is so proud of the artwork and crafts she brings home. We would certainly recommend Sandhills Barnt Green; the team have gone out of their way to welcome and support our family.

Lovely nursery. Both my daughters are so well looked after and enjoy going. Fantastic rapport with staff who are so caring and passionate about the care they give. Recently refurbished and fantastic. Great preschool activities and exploring the world around them. Highly recommend.

My child is so happy at nursery. During the period they were at nursery, the key workers were amazing at making the children feel at home.
My child comes home full of stories from nursery and the activities they have done in the day.

Our daughter has been attending Sandhills Day Nursery for just over a year, and we have been extremely impressed with the staff there and how friendly, professional and caring they are. The staff have gone over and above to help our little one settle in, and she is very happy there. They have been brilliant
during lockdowns and have made every effort to stay open, which has been so helpful for key workers. We really appreciate how approachable the staff are and how helpful they are if any concerns or new changes (eg potty training!). We have also found that they will try to accommodate any extra days needed if possible - which has also been a great help.

Very good nursery. My daughter has been going here for around 6-months. Staff are kind and caring. My daughter loves two particular staff members! Always has a busy day with lots to entertain and help her develop.

We have been so happy with Sandhills; the staff are amazing! They have reassured us every step of the way as we were quite anxious as our daughter had seen so few people due to lockdowns. She now goes into nursery happily and comes back with a smile. We love the daily electronic log. I cannot fault

A cheerful environment and wonderful staff. Made my child at ease at the nursery and settled quickly. Lots of different programs and initiative to keep the children excited and intrigued. The child returns home happy and excited every day.

Our son has been attending this nursery (on and off) since he was a year of age, and we have been nothing but impressed with it. When you turn up - every member of staff knows who you are and knows each child so well. Our son has flourished and built such strong relationships. In the past few months,
he has learnt so much in the preschool setting, and he comes home with lots of facts - which at aged 3.5 years old is incredible! He never grumbles about going, and I’m so excited for our youngest son to attend (as are the staff). We are so pleased we found Sandhills - it’s such a lovely place to be!

We have been so impressed with the nursery and the staff within it. Our daughter loves going there and always talks about her time there. She is being prepared well to transition to school, and the assessment system is comprehensive and useful to show her progress. During the last year, they have communicated

I am so pleased we chose Sandhills Barnt Green for our daughter. It is big enough to have a range of facilities and activities going on, but small enough that all the staff know our daughter. The staff are the biggest strength of this excellent nursery - they are caring and professional, and the main
testament of all is that our daughter will happily go in with any of them at drop off, even those who work in different rooms to hers. She was shy and nervous when she started, but absolutely loves going to nursery now, and is equally happy at the end of the day. They do lots of different activities as you'd expect and have worked really hard to support our fussy child with widening her diet; the menu is good, but our daughter sometimes disagrees! Communication is very good too. This is a lovely nursery, and we wholeheartedly recommend it.

I can’t recommend Sandhills nursery highly enough. The staff are fantastic - friendly, professional and amazing with the children. My son was very nervous when he started here 18-months ago, but he has really blossomed since. I’m so grateful for all of their hard work, especially through the pandemic.

Facilities are clean, organised and well-provisioned. There is a great range of indoor and outdoor facilities with regular outings to the local village. The food is of good quality and they encourage drinking water. The providers are brilliant: kind, friendly and responsive to the children's needs.
My daughter has learnt so much in her 2 years there. I am so glad I moved her there. She is thriving and full of enthusiasm for school. Whole-heartedly recommend.

So happy with the way the Sandhills Barnet Green girls have brought my son out of his shell. He's come on leaps and bounds since starting there and absolutely loves it. They are very supportive of any challenges he is facing such as potty training etc. He is extremely happy here and would not want him
