Merryvale Day Nursery

My son loves it at Merryvale Day Nursery. I love that we can see what he is up to via the app with photos and updates. The trips are great such as a bus journey to the woods or a walk to a cafe. The staff are wonderful!

My daughter loves going to Merryvale! As soon as that door opens, she runs in. The staff are so friendly, and you can see they really care about the kids! They use an app to keep you updated on what they have been doing, eating/drinking and keeping you informed on toileting, which is so lovely during the day at work!

My little one thoroughly enjoys nursery and has a brilliant learning journey. Her days are filled with activities that I continue at home. The app is really insightful. All the team at Merryvale are very polite, friendly and informative. Overall, it's a fantastic place to send my child. I love the newsletters; they are really useful and correlate to things happening during the calendar year, involving games and fancy dress. My little one has great relationships with her peers and overall, is encouraged and supported and has made amazing friends.

Lovely nursery. Staff are approachable and try to encourage family involvement as much as possible. My child has settled in well since the age of one, made some wonderful friends, and our second will be starting there shortly. Would recommend it as a nice, local nursery.

My son started in this nursery 10 months ago, and we are very happy. Staff are friendly and have strong bonds with children. Every day he has exciting new organised activities that can be messy, painting, slime, play-doh, sand etc. Children are encouraged to play outside in all weather and explore nature. Children are taken on organised trips to the library, park, postbox, and on the bus to local woods. I love the online parent diaries that show photos of his day and notes from staff. I am confident my child is happy and safe here; he is well cared for and well fed, and he doesn't come home hungry, which is why we moved from his previous childcare setting. Strongly recommend.

My son has been attending Merrivale Nursery since the age of one. He loves his time there so much he actually drives me mad till it's time to go. Staff are fantastic and friendly and keep us updated on activities and meals etc, throughout the day.

I have found the nursery staff members very supportive and informative. They have accommodated all of my child's needs and have made a positive difference in my child's learning. I have found the staff members to be very professional and approachable. I highly recommend this nursery to all parents looking for a nursery to give their child the best start in life. The staff always listen to me as a parent if I have ever raised a concern and are always great with any medical issues my children have had.

My son loves coming to nursery. The ladies are so lovely when he was upset the first couple of weeks whilst he was getting used to it. His speech has come on leaps and bounds and they provide a range of different foods and snacks. I love how they take them out to places like the forest, the library or even just for little walks around the block. They have a wonderful outdoor space which my boy enjoys also. He absolutely adores his keyworker. She and the other ladies are phenomenal with the children and make sure they're always learning through play. I'd recommend this nursery to everyone!

Excellent nursery. The staff are very friendly and helpful, always approachable too if you need to speak to them. For me, it is very important that my daughter is well cared for and happy which she is there.

We are incredibly impressed with the care and nurture gave by all of the nursery staff to our two children. They have provided such a lovely environment for them to build their confidence levels and develop their learning. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the nursery to other parents.

We are very pleased with the care the nursery has provided to our child. The nursery provides lots of free settling sessions to help our child get used to the idea of being with new people and they are now very settled. They also use an app which allows us to track our child's progress throughout the day. Our child comes home happy and developing well. My only feedback would be if the children could spend more time in the garden or doing outdoor activities too.

Friendly, welcoming and attentive staff. We are in week 2 of attendance at nursery, and due to Covid-19 restricted from inside areas of nursery, but I will answer based on settling in sessions and my initial viewing.

My daughter has had the best time at Merryvale the last year. She has stories to tell me every night about all the different things she has done. The teachers are amazing she loves all of them and I couldn’t have hoped for a better nursery to send her to in the year before she starts school.

Due to the lockdown period I was unable to have the usual induction, however the nursery staff have been excellent and really helpful getting my child settled at Merryvale. In just a matter of weeks he is doing so well there. I feel happy at working knowing he is safe at nursery and enjoying his day.

Excellent experience, our son was fully potty trained within a month, moved from bottle to cup for milk. The learning experience is perfect, picking up everything so quickly, sometimes I am so surprised to hear some new or different words from him.

I cannot recommend this nursery enough to anyone!

My Daughter joined in February 2020, I was nervous to start off with as this was the first time she would be spending time with other children and people she didn’t know. I was assured that she would be fine and she settled in straight away. All the staff are friendly, helpful and you can clearly see they enjoy their jobs. The communication is excellent either through the app, slips, emails and over the phone. Would highly recommend this nursery.

My son has been going to Merryvale for a year now and he loves it, he has come on so much with his vocab and counting, the staff are lovely and seem to genuinely care, they have a strong management team and everything is well organised. They have handled the COVID 19 pandemic really well and I feel safe sending him during this unsettled time. He has a big smile on his face when I collect him.
