Merryvale Day Nursery

As a first time mom, I was very nervous about sending my daughter to a nursery but Merryvale really helped during that transitional period. She started at 13 months old and I was given regular updates and pictures which really put my mind at ease. Fast forward 7 months, my daughter is thriving, hitting all her milestones, and enjoys her time there. All the staff have been friendly and welcoming and I can see that my daughter is comfortable with them which is the most important thing. I don't have any other nursery to compare it to, but I am happy I chose Merryvale and don't have any concerns that would make me want to leave.

Only feedback point I have is, would be nice being told beforehand if staff members are leaving.

My daughter started at Merryvale Nursery just after her 1st birthday. She is now 3 and is absolutely thriving there. The nursery is fantastic. They do such a wide range of fun and educational activities. They have an amazing forest school and grow their own fruit and vegetables which they have with their meals. The meals are also varied and nutritious. The staff are fabulous and always there to give me updates on my daughter's day. They help with anything you ask which was great when she was going through potty training. I love the app they have which gives regular updates throughout the day on what she has eaten, when she slept and nappy changes. I found this very helpful being a first time mom. She goes 4 days a week and she even asks to go on her day off. I would definitely recommend Merryvale Nursery.

Great experience, staff are great, really friendly and welcoming, great with my son. Food options are really healthy. Activities are really good.

Staff are always welcoming and polite, Mason has come along way since joining and looks forward to coming to play with his friends. Thank you for all you do!

My daughter has enjoyed every moment at Merryvale in robins & squids. The ladies have been fabulous and the communication and photos on the app has been so reassuring. My only criticism is that not being aware of major management and staff changes is a little worrying. We hope that communication improves if it were to impact my child directly.

We think this nursery is amazing. We see progress in Ryan all the time and staff are amazing too! 100% I'd recommend to others.

Very happy with the nursery overall - I was very anxious for my son to start but the girls were very welcoming and understanding. The only negative is the food/snack option feel limited for my son who has a dairy allergy.

I have been pleased that the staff at the nursery have been very supportive of my grandsons use of the toilet. The activities, including 'forest school' have been creative and very educational.

My daughter joined the nursery about 6 months ago and was painfully shy. Since she's been to Merryvale, she's really started to come out of her shell and she absolutely loves it there. She gets very excited to go in the morning and always comes out happy. The staff are all lovely and you can tell that they really care about the children. I love the activities they plan for the children, it's great to see so much focus on the children being healthy- doing yoga, looking after the garden, cooking. It's a brilliant nursery.

I was so nervous to send my son to nursery but Merryvale couldn't have been better. They facilitated a quick turnaround after I was let down by another provider and the transition was so simple. They've been nothing but kind and welcoming. My son is flourishing and I am so delighted that he is in such a nurturing environment. I highly recommend that anyone considering Merryvale definitely take the leap - you won't look back!

My son absolutely loves coming to Merryvale Nursery. He first joined when he was 7 months old and I was really worried as a first-time mum however, all the staff are super supportive and communicate really well. My son has thrived during his time here. The setting is clean, he has a great choice of healthy meals and I love that he gets to explore all the different activities the nursery sets out every day. So much thought goes into all of the learning stages and we couldn’t be more pleased. Big shout out to all the staff, especially the baby room and management.

Would 100% recommend this nursery to anyone who is currently looking for a place for their child! The staff are excellent, both my children love going to nursery and they come home talking about their day and how much fun they have had. They are learning new things every day and the staff have been really supportive towards their development. The management team are really good and helpful. They are very hands-on! I can’t thank the staff enough for what they do!

My only very slight concern is that it feels it’s becoming corporate as they have a few nurseries now. We chose Merryvale as it had a homely feel, we really hope that’s not lost.

My daughter has been going here since she was 10 months old, she loves going here and has never had a tear when dropping her off. They always have something planned for them to do and keep parents well updated through the app. I know she’s well taken care of all day and couldn’t be happier with my choice of nursery.

I am very pleased with my experience at Merryvale Day Nursery. My son loves it and is always happy to attend. He has been attending since he was 7 months and has grown a lot ever since. His key worker is amazing and loves him very much and takes good care of him. This gives me so much peace of mind. It's never easy leaving a child and going off to work but they sure make it easier.

My daughter loves going to nursery each day. She is making excellent progress and is very well cared for. Good variety of learning experiences on offer each day. I would highly recommend this nursery.

This is a great nursery. I sent both of my sons here and loved every minute of it. I never go home worrying as all the staff are fantastic and I know he is well looked after. I've also recommended the nursery to my family members.

My son loves it at Merryvale Day Nursery. I love that we can see what he is up to via the app with photos and updates. The trips are great such as a bus journey to the woods or a walk to a cafe. The staff are wonderful!

My daughter loves going to Merryvale! As soon as that door opens, she runs in. The staff are so friendly, and you can see they really care about the kids! They use an app to keep you updated on what they have been doing, eating/drinking and keeping you informed on toileting, which is so lovely during the day at work!

My little one thoroughly enjoys nursery and has a brilliant learning journey. Her days are filled with activities that I continue at home. The app is really insightful. All the team at Merryvale are very polite, friendly and informative. Overall, it's a fantastic place to send my child. I love the newsletters; they are really useful and correlate to things happening during the calendar year, involving games and fancy dress. My little one has great relationships with her peers and overall, is encouraged and supported and has made amazing friends.
