Merryvale Day Nursery in Halesowen enables children to have fun and develop new skills.

Children can choose a variety of activities suitable for their age group every day such as sand, water, paint, books, puzzles, music and imaginative play as well as adult-led activities.

Each child has a member of staff to relate to within their care group.

When the children enter the nursery they are given a booklet for parents to fill in about their child, a blue Learning Journal which goes between nursery and home to fill in development milestones and an evidence booklet which staff fill with photos and observations of developmental stages.

Children develop in confidence and have lots of fun doing it in a safe, rich, learning environment.

My daughter has enjoyed every moment at Merryvale in robins & squids. The ladies have been fabulous and the communication and photos on the app has been so reassuring. My only criticism is that not being aware of major management and staff changes is a little worrying. We hope that communication improves
if it were to impact my child directly.

Very happy with the nursery overall - I was very anxious for my son to start but the girls were very welcoming and understanding. The only negative is the food/snack option feel limited for my son who has a dairy allergy.

All of the staff are friendly and welcoming. They know my grandson very well and can give me details about his day when I collect him.
I have been pleased that the staff at the nursery have been very supportive of my grandsons use of the toilet. The activities, including 'forest school' have been
creative and very educational.

My daughter joined the nursery about 6 months ago and was painfully shy. Since she's been to Merryvale, she's really started to come out of her shell and she absolutely loves it there. She gets very excited to go in the morning and always comes out happy. The staff are all lovely and you can tell that
they really care about the children. I love the activities they plan for the children, it's great to see so much focus on the children being healthy- doing yoga, looking after the garden, cooking. It's a brilliant nursery.

I was so nervous to send my son to nursery but Merryvale couldn't have been better. They facilitated a quick turnaround after I was let down by another provider and the transition was so simple. They've been nothing but kind and welcoming. My son is flourishing and I am so delighted that he is in such

My son absolutely loves coming to Merryvale Nursery. He first joined when he was 7 months old and I was really worried as a first-time mum however, all the staff are super supportive and communicate really well. My son has thrived during his time here. The setting is clean, he has a great choice of
healthy meals and I love that he gets to explore all the different activities the nursery sets out every day. So much thought goes into all of the learning stages and we couldn’t be more pleased. Big shout out to all the staff, especially the baby room and management.

Would 100% recommend this nursery to anyone who is currently looking for a place for their child! The staff are excellent, both my children love going to nursery and they come home talking about their day and how much fun they have had. They are learning new things every day and the staff have been

My little girl has been here for a few months now. Staff are all very pleasant and always willing to help. They have a varied menu which is on display in the entrance and they do a lot of activities which are updated on the app. My little girl comes home every day clean and tidy, we can definitely see
a difference in development since starting here and she's so happy. It’s nice that there’s always the same staff there, there isn’t a high staff turnover which has been reassuring to us. She has an excellent key worker who we have great communication with. Never had any complaints with the care we’ve received. Staff are alert with regards to safeguarding the children and have appropriate procedures in place. The manager is always approachable and on the end of the phone, as is another member of staff.
My only very slight concern is that it feels it’s becoming corporate as they have a few nurseries now. We chose Merryvale as it had a homely feel, we really hope that’s not lost.

My daughter has been going here since she was 10 months old, she loves going here and has never had a tear when dropping her off. They always have something planned for them to do and keep parents well updated through the app. I know she’s well taken care of all day and couldn’t be happier with my choice
of nursery.

I am very pleased with my experience at Merryvale Day Nursery. My son loves it and is always happy to attend. He has been attending since he was 7 months and has grown a lot ever since. His key worker is amazing and loves him very much and takes good care of him. This gives me so much peace of mind.
It's never easy leaving a child and going off to work but they sure make it easier.

My son loves it at Merryvale Day Nursery. I love that we can see what he is up to via the app with photos and updates. The trips are great such as a bus journey to the woods or a walk to a cafe. The staff are wonderful!

My daughter loves going to Merryvale! As soon as that door opens, she runs in. The staff are so friendly, and you can see they really care about the kids! They use an app to keep you updated on what they have been doing, eating/drinking and keeping you informed on toileting, which is so lovely during

My little one thoroughly enjoys nursery and has a brilliant learning journey. Her days are filled with activities that I continue at home. The app is really insightful. All the team at Merryvale are very polite, friendly and informative. Overall, it's a fantastic place to send my child. I love the newsletters;
they are really useful and correlate to things happening during the calendar year, involving games and fancy dress. My little one has great relationships with her peers and overall, is encouraged and supported and has made amazing friends.

Lovely nursery. Staff are approachable and try to encourage family involvement as much as possible. My child has settled in well since the age of one, made some wonderful friends, and our second will be starting there shortly. Would recommend it as a nice, local nursery.

My son started in this nursery 10 months ago, and we are very happy. Staff are friendly and have strong bonds with children. Every day he has exciting new organised activities that can be messy, painting, slime, play-doh, sand etc. Children are encouraged to play outside in all weather and explore nature.
Children are taken on organised trips to the library, park, postbox, and on the bus to local woods. I love the online parent diaries that show photos of his day and notes from staff. I am confident my child is happy and safe here; he is well cared for and well fed, and he doesn't come home hungry, which is why we moved from his previous childcare setting. Strongly recommend.
