Westwood is a purpose-built 70 place day nursery of the highest quality.

Westwood provides a happy, sociable environment where every child is treated as an individual.

The nursery has 5 main playrooms, all with their own individual outdoor spaces. It also consists of sensory areas and designated sleeping areas.

Outside is a fully enclosed and well equipped garden with astro turf and patio areas as well as designated areas for creative play, role play and digging. The nursery also organises social events including fundraising, parents evenings and stay and play afternoons.

Westwood Day Nursery also offer the extracurricular activity of Drama Tots on Thursday afternoons, alternating to a different room each week.

Westwood gives children the opportunity to both work and play in cheerful and stimulating surroundings.

I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. My daughter is so happy here and the staff are amazing. The staff have helped my daughter grow into a kind and caring little girl learning something new every day. She has developed so much since starting nursery in September. Thank you to all the staff.

Fantastic nursery. Staff have been amazing on helping my son settle into the nursery. The nursery is clean, great facilities and fantastic with feedback. The parent app which is new is a great addition to the nursery. I couldn't recommend the nursery enough.

Very friendly and helpful nursery. My son has settled so well here, the staff have been amazing with him. I particularly like all of the home cooked food he receives. Also, he is really good at feeding himself now, the staff really encourage him.

My son has been attending Westwood Day Nursery for 6 months now and he absolutely enjoys it there. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and always inform us of what our child has been up to. They have various activities both inside and out to keep the children entertained which is also a clean
and safe environment. Our child started when he turned 3 years old and he seems to have developed quite rapidly since starting nursery as he's talking a lot more as he learns new things. We are very pleased with Westwood Day Nursery and cannot recommend them enough.

My daughter has been at Westwood day nursery since September last year (starting when she was 9 months old), I would highly recommend the nursery to any parents. The staff always put your mind at ease and the activities that they put on for the children really help with their development. My daughter
really enjoys the 'home style' cooked food!

My son started just before he turned two and English isn't his native language. Since day one all the staff, not only his key worker, have been trying their hardest to improve his language skills and integrate with other children. My son is a very picky eater and workers are going the extra mile trying
to keep him full and happy. When we request one off things it is never ignored, they make sure it is done as we like. It's a very secure environment, and my son is really enjoying the dance lady and the music man. We are very very happy and satisfied with out choice! Thank You!

This is the best nursery in Coventry. The staff are all amazing and really carrying and they are always worried about the development, state of mind and health of the kids that they look after. I can’t thank all the staff at the nursery enough for the quick response and care they put into looking after
my child when he had a medical emergency (febrile convulsion) at nursery. They even got complimented by the ambulance staff that attend the incident.


All the staff are always really friendly and caring and the management team are quick to react when there are things that I’m worried about or need improving. My son is always eager to go to nursery in the morning and his report at the end of the day tells me that he always has an amazing day. I can tell from his development that he gets encouraged to learn and try new things on a daily basis but he is also encourage to pursue his interests.


I am very confident that when I go to work my son is in the best hands with the staff at Westwood Day Nursery.

Westwood Day Nursery have staff who are friendly and professional. They are well trained. My daughter feels very comfortable in the nursery. The nursery is very well thought out with all the children having access to the garden. The garden is separated into play areas for children of different ages
and divided by low picket fencing. My daughter also loves the food at the nursery which is all prepared in house.

Lyndsey

Lyndsey Matthews

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2005

Lyndsey is currently the Manager of Westwood Day Nursery in Coventry and has a wealth of experience, having worked with children for the past 20 years. Lyndsey has 18 years of experience in Early Years, all of which were with Childbase where she started as an Apprentice, progressing from a qualified practitioner to room leader, team leader and then Deputy. Lyndsey is NVQ Level 3 qualified in Children's Care, Learning and Development.


What is your favourite feature of your nursery?
The fact the rooms have their own gardens and can free flow throughout the day.


What are you most proud of about your nursery/team?
The relationships we have with our parents, the staff know the families so well including myself which means we are able to support them in all areas of their lives. It also means they are so much more engaged when it comes to events at nursery.
