Cotton Tails Day Nursery provides private day care for children 0-5 years old. The nursery is open Mon – Fri, 7.30am - 6pm, 52 weeks of the year excluding bank holidays.

Cotton Tails has been rated OUTSTANDING in its last three Ofsted reports. Staff pride themselves on providing a caring and safe environment that treats every child as an individual, balancing play and learning and helping them to develop to their full potential.

Cotton Tails Nursery has been open since August 1996, originally a much smaller premises, but with the demand of the childcare sector Cotton Tails has grown over the past years. In January 2013, it opened its doors to a whole new wing, now complete with extensive bright and vibrant rooms having everything available for both child and nursery practitioner.

Cotton Tails is renowned for its close parent partnership making care a complete circle, with the child in the centre.

Our son has been at Cotton Tails for the past three years. The service here is fantastic, the staff are amazing, and I've had no doubts that he has been under the very best care during his time here. We've had regular reviews regarding his progress and photo updates. I can't recommend Cotton Tails enough.

All the staff at Cotton Tails are amazing and go above and beyond with the children in their care.
My son started nursery in Tinie Room in September 2023, and his development has been outstanding, growing into a confident and bubbly boy.
A big shout out to his key worker who is a massive help and
so patient and disciplined with him. Also to the rest of the Tinie Room team.
I would highly recommend Cotton Tails as a trustworthy, safe, welcoming, friendly and supportive nursery to anyone considering putting their little one into childcare.

Cotton Tails is an excellent nursery. They have supported my son from 9 months until now, when he is preparing for school, and, more recently, my daughter. The staff have gone above and beyond to ensure that every child is supported in a holistic and person centred way. They offer comfort and reassurance
to both children and parents to ensure that our children are developing in a safe environment.
Staff are very welcoming, trustworthy, and effectively communicate with everyone. I would highly recommend the nursery.

My daughter loves coming to nursery every day. She gets excited to see her friends and the staff. The staff are always friendly and will go above and beyond and take excellent care of our daughter. There is always a good variety of food for meal times. All activities are great and well organised.

Amazing nursery, with a caring staff. Excellent activities and 100 percent effort and attention to detail when it comes to the children's activities and learning. As a family, we are so happy with the care Cotton Tails provides for both of our children. We feel our children are supported, encouraged, and enabled to explore and develop with support from all members of staff.

Absolutely amazing nursery, my little boy started there at 11 months, has settled really well, and has just thrived. He comes home full of smiles and clearly loves his time there. I love the updates on the app. And it's so nice seeing what he has learnt each day (I'm learning lots of actions to songs

We have been so happy with this nursery for the three years our daughter has attended. All the staff are attentive and caring and have always listened to our needs and acted upon any requests we have made. The nursery in general is really homely and warm with a bright and happy ambience. From the baby
room up to the school room, our daughter has thrived and we will really miss it when she leaves. I have never felt uneasy or unsure about leaving her and there has never been an incident or a single lost item. Her belongings are well looked after and if she is ever under the weather we were always made aware straight away. The nursery is always clean and children are asked to wash their hands upon entering every morning. Their learning needs are captured and recorded. Cannot fault this nursery or the staff and we will be sad to say goodbye. Outdoor facilities are also good and the doors and gates are always locked and only opened with a code. This gives us a sense of security. Thank you

Staff are always welcoming and make the experience seamless. My daughter loves it when she gets to nursery, enjoying time with newly formed friendships, come home time she has countless stories to tell us and the excitement she has is clear. We love the home tasks set too as can make learning at home
and nursery be combined, such as the autumn seasons. Staff have been so supportive from the baby room through the nursery room. Thanks all.

It was really nice to go into my daughter's nursery to see the environment that she spends her days in playing and interacting with the other children, seeing how the staff act with them and putting faces to the names that she speaks about.

Cotton Tails Northfield are a fantastic nursery. My eldest daughter attended here, and we had no hesitation in booking a place for our younger daughter, who is currently in Tinie's room. The staff are friendly, approachable and caring. Both our children have a fantastic relationship with the carers,
and they grow so much in ability and confidence ready for school. My eldest daughter happily comes with me for pick-up time to see her sister, and she loves to see the staff that looked after her. I feel confident and happy to send my children to Cotton Tails and highly recommend this nursery.

Great nursery! My son has settled well and the staff are all very friendly, informative and welcoming. Great facilities and extra care is taken for the children's safety. I felt very anxious about my son going to nursery but soon felt at ease and knew this was the nursery we wanted him to go to when

Michelle

Michelle Young

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2000

My name is Michelle Young, I am the manager at Cotton Tails Nursery. I have worked at Cotton Tails since June 2000 where I worked in the Pre-School room and then later worked in the Tinie Room which I thoroughly enjoyed.


I became the manager in 2009 which was a completely new role for me but I really enjoyed the challenge. During this time, I went on to complete my NVQ3 in Leadership and Management which has helped me in the role.


Over the years, I have grown to love my role as a manager, especially seeing all of the children grow and develop, then move on to big school.


One of my biggest aims as the manager was to maintain our OUTSTANDING Ofsted grade as it was my first Ofsted as a manager. This goal was achieved in March 2014 when we were rated OUTSTANDING for a second time. I am enjoying the challenge and enjoy working with a great team.
