Couldn’t wish for a better nursery! The staff are amazing, caring, friendly and nurturing. The nursery environment at The Nest is lovelier than anything I would have imagined before seeing it. The ethos of the staff and nursery is in my opinion, just how all nurseries should be. I’d recommend The Nest to everyone. My child is so happy here!
We really struck lucky getting a place at this nursery. Not only are all the staff kind and nurturing to the children, but the facilities are also outstanding. The children are safe and cared for beautifully and there is very much a feeling of 'family' which is reassuring. There is a huge garden and outdoor area for the children to explore and this is encouraged in all weather. My granddaughter absolutely loves it and has lots to tell me every evening, when I collect her. Although slightly late with speech development, it was picked up by her brilliant key worker, discussed and a plan put in place to help. We have seen positive change within weeks. I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough.
After my eldest daughter was still not settled at a different nursery despite her having attended for well over a year, we decided to try The Nest Nursery Wood End when I started back at work after maternity leave with my second child. I am gutted I didn't just go there from the start! She settled so quickly. My second child (currently in their preschool group) and my youngest (currently in the baby room) both love it too. They love the freedom and space they have to explore, and I love how their inquisitive natures and desires to explore are encouraged. The whole setting rooms and garden, are a dream for the children to potter around in and engage with each other and their teachers. They do the most lovely activities for them to try out and explore. The Nest is a truly enriching experience every week.
The staff are awesome too - so supportive and understanding. They don't just host the children, they really know them and love them.
My son moved from a local nursery to The Nest, where he thrived, built confidence through the outdoor activities, and made great friends. He's still in touch with some of those friends, even though they've now gone to different schools. My daughter now goes to The Nest, and she can't wait to leave the house in the morning to get to the nursery. The workers genuinely love the children. The daily reports are regular 'focus week' keeps parents engaged, and we always know what's going on at the nursery. Brilliant all-round!
The nursery is incredible; everything about it. My son loves coming here and particularly loves spending lots of time outside. The staff are incredible and go the extra mile in everything they do. I wish there was a Nest school!
The Nest Nursery is the best by far. The most caring, friendly and understanding staff. The Nest Wood End has an amazing outdoor space and always a number of different activities to do indoors daily. During the pandemic, The Nest have put measures into place to ensure the safety of staff and children. Couldn't ask for a better nursery or staff team!
My child has been coming to The Nest for over two years and absolutely loves it. She is cared for and loved and I know that she has the most enjoyable time. With all the changes due to Covid the staff took it in their stride and made things safe with ease and went the extra mile to keep us involved e.g. sending photos of activities. They also put up lots of activities on tapestry for us to access. I would recommend this nursery to everyone.
My experience with this nursery is just amazing. From the moment my daughter started, they put us both at ease as we have never been apart. My daughter loves everything about this nursery, every day she absolutely loves and enjoys being with the other children and all the staff. She has progressed so much and become a lot more confident with everyday life things. Also, my daughter comes out of the nursery so happy and always tells me what she has done, how nice the children and staff are, which makes me very happy that my child is in this amazing nursery.
The nursery staff are really great and very friendly. They have accommodated all our requests (the use of cloth nappies) and ensured that all our needs as parents are met. Our son's key worker has a lovely bubbly and warm personality, which is impacting our boy's behaviour for the best. He has been thriving since he started attending and loves being there. We chose this nursery due to their child led principles which encourages the children to explore and work with natural resources, whilst still benefiting from organised play sessions. Our son loves the food they provide as well and finishes all his portions most of the time. The nursery is clean and the management have implemented Covid measures to minimise the risks.
My daughter has been attending this fantastic nursery since 11 months old and it's the best decision we made. The nursery has provided my daughter with a variety of natural resources to reach her full potential. They have a variety of activities which helps build a childs imagination and curiosity. Wonderful Forest School session and excellent and caring staff. A fantastic outdoor space on site where children can enjoy play in all weathers.
I would recommend The Nest Nursery to anyone at all! The staff have excellent knowledge and skills. They look after the children with care and compassion.
My son joined the nursery in September. He settled in really quickly, and the support he has been given is really good. He is always happy to go in and comes out smiling, telling me about his day. Would highly recommend!
I am extremely happy with the care my child receives at the nursery. The staff have gone above and beyond during COVID to ensure the children continue to thrive in a caring and engaging environment. The staff have been very innovative in using technology to communicate and provide activities for children and parents. My child loves nursery and all the staff.
This is my 2nd child at The Nest Nursery Wood End, and myself, my husband and our children were and are so pleased with the staff, environment, attitude and the care your provide. Especially in these difficult times, thank you for being caring and implementing all the safety routines. He enjoys spending time at nursery, building new friendships and exploring. He loves Forset School and goes back to nursery every day with the smile on his face.
I have only ever experienced outstanding practice and care for my child in this setting. The quality of care and support for my child from all staff is only ever the best. My child goes to nursery with a smile and leaves with a smile. He is incredibly happy here. We love the setting, the activities available, the level of challenge and communication we receive from staff on all levels. We can't wait for his sibling to start here this year!
The setting is so well thought out with lots of activities freely available for the children to explore independently and make decisions over what they wish to play with. The outside space is fantastic, and I love that the children are encouraged to use this space in all weathers. The observations provided are thoughtful, detailed and really allow you to appreciate the environment.
We find the staff to be attentive, caring, knowledgable and friendly, and our little girl loves them!
Highly recommend, and so happy with our choice, as I leave knowing she is safe and cared for.
In fact, he didn't go to anyone but me and his dad. A few days of his settling, I was so surprised how happy and confident he was. He has developed great relationships with staff and children; I have the staff to thank for that. They were and are still amazing with him. It's lovely to have a home to the home environment that has really helped. He has so many activities available at his level. I also love the fact that the room is set up looking inviting for him, with lots of natural resources for him to explore throughout the day. He has learnt so much and has developed so much since he started.
Decent meals!
He's always happy to go nursery and never wants to come home!
I can approach any one of them, and they will always help me out.
My son arrives and leaves with a smile on his face and has become more social and vocal and more confident since starting at The Nest.
I cannot recommend them enough.
The whole ethos of the nursery is really excellent. I find it so reassuring that all of the staff are first aid trade (which is above and beyond the requirements set out for nurseries).
The children get a lot of time playing outdoors which I love. They also have the freedom to go to activities that interest them, rather than a set schedule.
My little boy comes home very happy and chatting all about his day and the adventures he’s had in the garden. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
Every single practitioner is kind, caring and has the best interests of the child at the heart of all they do. The provocations provided for the children are inventive, enabling the children to be curious, excited and explorative in their approach to learning. The staff can not do enough to offer support and advice to parents; their care of my child at this setting has been outstanding every single day - they are truly a family, nurturing children to grow and progress!
