WOW, what a fantastic nursery. I was really nervous about leaving my baby in a nursery but the staff are so understanding and accommodating with my needs. I felt reassured from looking around the nursery and settling in visits to our first day. I felt the staff were never too busy to sit and reassure
me when I got upset and I love the coffee bar they have in the reception area it's a really nice touch. The baby room is very welcoming and they do so many lovely activities with the children. I loved getting my first painting that is now displayed with pride on my fridge. I could not recommend this nursery enough especially if you are feeling a little nervous about leaving your children. Thank you so much.

Love this nursery, my grandchildren go to I have been coming here for 4 yrs, the staff are so friendly and helpful to me and also to my daughter. I always get a feedback and always on a positive note. My grandchildren are always happy to come here. When I pick them up they are still smiling. The food
when I have seen it looks great. Now they have a coffee machine for the parents to use. My daughter loves it as she gets one to go to work.

This nursery is very well staffed with friendly and patient carers. My boys have been looked after to a high degree. The staff take on any guidance on routines they follow and likes and dislikes and I have felt at complete ease with my boys attending here and I would not go anywhere else. The nursery
has accommodated our working patterns and flexed the hours where possible for us, allowing us to manage the children and work with no worries at all. The boys have learnt so much and are always so happy to be there, it's an absolute credit to Busy Bees. One of the staff in particular who not only looked after our first in the baby room but also our second, took it upon herself to take my youngest in the elder boys room from time to time so they could say hello during the day. This especially warmed our hearts and is so exciting for the boys to see one another at nursery. Thank you.

Having never left my daughter with anyone except family I felt that she needed to socialise with other children with myself not being there with her I was very worried that she would not settle. The staff were brilliant and after a few weeks my daughter was off to play before I had the chance to say
goodbye to her. Since then I have seen her confidence grow and from all reports she is thoroughly enjoying herself while at the nursery.

Girls in the senior preschool room are absolutely amazing. My Son loves coming to the nursery because of them. Very friendly atmosphere. They cook decent meals with a good variety. He is constantly encouraged at nursery, so is becoming a very confident little man.

My son has learnt so much at nursery. He's now a clever, confident, smart little boy with amazing, social skills which he has picked up from his teachers.
He learnt so much and so many different skills.

My daughter joined Busy Bees over two years ago after having a bad experience with a childminder. The moment my little lady joined the Busy Bees family she loved it. The staff are supportive, compassionate, dedicated and clearly, love and believe in effective development.
The change and massive improvement
in my daughter is down to hard work and the amazing key person that she has been placed with. Busy Bees Peatmoor was the best decision we ever made.

I have two children attending this nursery. They both thoroughly enjoy their days here.
When you walk in everyone is smiling, happy and welcoming.
The staff are wonderful, they understand both children's needs, likes and forever changing interests and keep them challenging things through play and
learning, you can tell they really care.
The resources are fantastic, each room has a soft chill out corner, a messy play area, role play corner etc. Lovely presented rooms and clearly labelled activities.
The garden area is again very presented with bright colours, a huge play area and a cute picket fenced baby section.
There are toilet facilities in all areas of the nursery, and everywhere is immaculately clean!
The food menus are very nutritional and it's lovely to see a mix up of the menu instead of the same thing things each week.
I know I can go about my busy day knowing my children are in the safe hands of Busy Bees staff.
What a lovely well run place.

My son attends the nursery 3 days a week and is in the 2-3's room. The staff are so friendly and I can see how much they love the children. My son has only been going to the nursery for a month and still goes in most mornings crying and the staff are fantastic and make me feel at ease leaving him. They
also give me a call later in the day to reassure me he has settled. I cannot thank the staff enough for what they do for my Son. When I pick him up at the end of the day he is always happy and joining in with whatever is going on and sometimes doesn't even notice that I have arrived. Thank you again.

Staff are very helpful and great with the children, one in particular, has been amazing with my daughter and taught her so many things.
I would definitely recommend this nursery to friends and family, in fact, have done so already.
The manager is very accommodating to my shift patterns and always
got a smile on her face.

I am very happy with the nursery, my daughter comes home buzzing. She is in the preschool room and has an excellent connection with her key person and all other staff in the room. I feel her key person goes above and beyond with my child's interest and development and because of this, she is coming
on leaps and bounds. She eats very well at nursery and I love that she tries new foods. I am well informed about her day and what activities they have done each day and what we can do at home to progress these area's.

My son attended nursery and loved it. This is the first nursery he has ever been to so quite a big change and he is very shy and used to only being with me, and literally never wants to be parted from me. Staff found out everything they needed to know about my son. From what could comfort him if unsettled,
to favourite activities to keep him engaged. Staff went out of their way to help my little boy settle and he is like a different boy. Confidence has grown, he started sleeping through the night due to the stimulation and engagement provided throughout the day at nursery. Even meal times have become much less of a struggle as my son has tried various new nutritious dishes that he would never have sampled at home. My son's character has developed and he has changed from a shy, quite clingy baby to a confident, cheeky clever boy. All of this I put down to the fantastic teaching and care provided by the nursery and I cannot thank them enough and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I have two children and both attended Busy Bees. My Son has now gone to school but started when he was a baby and my daughter has been attending for a year and is in the 1-2's. My son loved going to nursery and joining in with all the activities. He made some really good friends and so did I. It was
great going along to the open day events and having a chance to meet other parents. The preschool staff worked really hard to ensure the children were ready for the big step to school and I loved the timetable of activities they put together especially the book bags. My daughter took a while to settle into the nursery but I cannot thank the staff enough for their time, patience and understanding. They were very reassuring and phoned me regularly to inform me on how she was doing which was really comforting. I am really happy with the nursery.

Current Review Score: 9.0 (9.023)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.0 (9.023) out of 10 for Busy Bees Peatmoor is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.2 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.823 for Busy Bees Peatmoor is calculated as follows: ( (80 Excellents x 5) + (15 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 96 Ratings = 4.823
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.2 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Peatmoor is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 100 number of registered child places is 20. 8 Positive Reviews ÷ 20 = 0.4
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Centre Director

Hello, My name is Jody Murphy, Centre Director for Busy Bees Peatmoor. Since completing my level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education, I have worked within the childcare sector in various roles ranging from nannying to pre-schools, to nurseries big and small. I have also completed A-Level child psychology and a Degree in Psychology, as I find the mind of a child fascinating and use this to encourage knowledge of the different ways that children learn, explore and how they display their skills and abilities. I have a passion for childcare and love working within a team to think of creative ways to develop, enhance and nurture children and staff's knowledge, development and skills.
