Open Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 6.00pm, 51 weeks of the year, fees include freshly prepared meals, snacks, nappies and wipes.
The warm and welcoming nursery operates from a purpose-designed single-storey building with dedicated spaces for babies, toddlers and preschool children. Children are encouraged to develop as confident, creative and independent learners through a wide range of experiences tailored to their individual interests and needs.
Outdoor learning is a key part of nursery life. Children benefit from extensive outdoor environments, including gardens that were fully refurbished in 2026 and a dedicated Forest School area led by a qualified Forest School practitioner. Natural resources, exploration and play in all weathers help children develop confidence, curiosity and a connection with the world around them.

About this price
How funding is applied, how the monthly figure is calculated.More info
- Working parents of children aged 9 months to 2 years can usually claim up to 30 funded hours a week. The working-parent hours depend on each parent meeting the minimum earnings rules and earning under £100,000 a year. This nursery stretches funded hours across 51 weeks of the year. You've selected 30 funded hours.
- This nursery applies up to 10 funded hours per day, stretched across 51 weeks of the year. With your selected funding, 22.4 hours are covered each week. Hours beyond this, including the early and late parts of the day, are charged at the standard rate.
- We work out the total cost across the year and divide by 12, so the figure shown is a smoothed monthly average. In practice, nurseries bill in different ways. Some bill monthly at this average. Others bill weekly, or charge for what happened that week or month, which can vary across the year. Confirm billing details with the nursery when you enquire.

Great nursery. My three year old has been at Goosebury Bush - Kemble for over a year now and fitted in straight away. Every room has a big outdoor play area which the children love. They also have a great online portal that keeps you updated with the children's day to day activities and how they...

Gooseberry Bush has been excellent for my son. He has been going since he was nine months old and is now two and a half years. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. The outside space is great for the children and they do activities to help them understand the world around them. An important factor for me was that you can park right outside for free unlike other nurseries in town, it’s a godsend on a wet and windy day when you’re running late. Overall highly recommended.

I need not have been because he’s been so well cared for throughout. The team have encouraged and coaxed him out of himself so well. Each of his key workers so far have been so engaged and positive. It is lovely that no matter what the team take time to hand over at drop off and pick up.
I am kept up to date with his development/progress in key skills etc. and his first full report was so detailed; it was lovely to see how well understood he is as a little person. Most often when I collect him he is buoyed up and pointing out things of interest in his room. He is clearly really happy there!

A lovely nursery, caring and friendly. My eldest started school in September. He was very ready for this and with the preparation of preschool has made huge strides. He is confident and independent. So many activities take place with thought and care. I am amazed to see what they do and achieve. So much support for potty training and achieving independence. My children have developed strong bonds with the staff.

She is very bubbly and enthusiastic and her enthusiasm rubs off on the children, for me it made my children look forward to coming to Gooseberry Bush to have fun and learn new things!
My son was quite unsettled at first the staff bar non were wonderful. Patient, calm, with advice rather than being bossy and, made me feel that he was in good hands, even if I was upset about leaving him. He has settled now and loves it and I am very grateful to them all.

With over 10 years of experience in the early years sector, I have developed a strong passion for supporting children, families, and educators to achieve the very best outcomes. My career began as an apprentice, and through dedication, hard work, and a commitment to continuous professional development, I progressed through a variety of roles to become a manager.
I hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification, a Level 3 Leadership and Management qualification, and have recently achieved the National Professional Qualification for Early Years Leadership (NPQEYL). Achieving my NPQEYL is one of my proudest accomplishments and has further strengthened my leadership skills and knowledge of best practice in early years education.
My ethos centres around leading by example, being approachable, and fostering strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues. I am passionate about creating high-quality early years experiences and helping others reach their full potential.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and exploring the countryside on walks with my dog, which helps me maintain a healthy work-life balance and appreciation for the outdoors.

I have worked in childcare for over 20 years and have gained a wealth of experience across a variety of roles, from working directly with children as a practitioner to managing the operational side of settings as a Business Manager. I am now proud to be the Assistant Manager, where I continue to support children, families, and staff to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Alongside my management role, I am the Curriculum Lead and SENCO, ensuring that every child receives an engaging, inclusive, and high-quality learning experience tailored to their individual needs.
As a parent to three children of my own, I understand the importance of creating a nurturing, safe, and supportive environment where children can thrive and families feel valued.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends, making memories and enjoying new experiences together.
I have a Level 2 and 3 in Childcare and Education, a Level 5 in Management and a TQUK Level 2 in Understanding Autism.
In the sector, I have been in the following roles: Level 3 Practitioner, Senior Manager, Nursery Manager, Business Manager, Assistant Manager, Curriculum Lead and SENCO.
One of my proudest achievements as Assistant Manager has been helping to create an inclusive, nurturing, and inspiring environment where every child feels valued and supported to reach their full potential. As Curriculum Lead and SENCO, I have had the opportunity to lead our curriculum and learning environments, ensuring they are engaging, inclusive, and tailored to meet the needs and interests of all children.
I am particularly proud of the support I have provided to children with additional needs, working closely with families and outside professionals to ensure every child can access learning opportunities and thrive within the setting. Seeing children grow in confidence, overcome challenges, and achieve milestones that once seemed out of reach is one of the most rewarding aspects of my role.
Another achievement I value greatly is mentoring and supporting staff members in their professional development. Helping colleagues build their confidence, develop their skills, and progress in their careers has been incredibly fulfilling and has contributed to creating a strong, dedicated team that shares the same passion for providing the highest quality care and education.
With over 20 years of experience in childcare, I am passionate about providing high-quality early years education that gives every child the best possible start in life. I believe in creating inclusive, stimulating environments where children feel secure, respected, and inspired to learn. My goal is to ensure every child is supported to reach their full potential while fostering strong relationships with families and colleagues.

Growing up in a large family with three sisters, alongside my parents' role as foster carers, gave me an early appreciation for childcare. With children regularly joining and leaving our home, I developed a passion for helping care for others by supporting my mum with both my sisters and foster children. After leaving school, I began an Early Years apprenticeship and achieved my Level 2 qualification in Early Years Education. Determined to build a career in childcare, I continued gaining experience with children of all ages while completing my Level 3 qualification.
Five years ago, I joined Gooseberry Bush, where I trained as a Room Leader. During my time here, I have been fortunate to receive excellent opportunities for professional development and career progression. I completed my Level 3 qualification in Leadership and Management and progressed into the role of Deputy Manager.
Alongside my qualifications, I have undertaken a wide range of specialist training courses, including Early Years Nutrition, Behaviour Management, and Forest School Leadership, among others. With more than 10 years of experience in childcare, I remain passionate about supporting children’s development and helping them flourish.
I strongly believe that every child deserves the opportunity to feel safe, valued, and able to thrive. By providing meaningful experiences and nurturing support, we can help children build the foundations they need for a positive future. One of the aspects I enjoy most about my role is the opportunity to be creative; whether that is planning engaging learning experiences, solving challenges in innovative ways, or exploring creativity alongside the children every day.
