The Old Station Nursery Filkins

Fabulous nursery with such compassionate, reactive and knowledgable staff. Our little one has come on leaps and bounds since attending Filkins, especially in their confidence and language skills. Collecting my little one is a joy as they are always so happy and eager to tell me all about their day. We are also regularly updated with what they have been doing throughout the day, which we love, and it means we can continue with activities or learning ideas at home too.

Filkins Nursery is a truly wonderful environment. Both of our children have attended the nursery and have enjoyed it immensely. The staff are kind and caring and they always have a great balance of learning and fun. It makes things so much easier knowing that, not only are the children safe and well looked after, but they're having a lovely time too. Huge thanks to all the staff at Filkins Nursery, can't recommend them highly enough.

I have been blown away by the Filkins nursery. On day 4, my son was closing the nursery door in my face waving to me through the window whilst being held in his key worker's arms. The team have made him feel so secure and they have worked out how he ticks. The updates are great, so much effort is put into their days at the nursery. Thank you all so much!

Lovely nursery where they really care! Great fun and educational activities, lots of variety and a mix of simple and complex ideas. In the moment teaching is really effective and our little boy loves going.

We wanted to change the days our granddaughter was at nursery. So asked the manager for information. It didn't take long for her to get back in touch with a solution that was a benefit to all, especially our granddaughter. I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff at the nursery. The love and care they show our granddaughter is beyond anything we imagined. It is going to be a wrench for her to leave this year, but I will say without a doubt, that they have done plenty to shape the young lady she is growing into. Thank you, Filkins.

Our little boy started in January following a house move and settled in almost straight away. The staff are all fantastic and our little one is excited to go each week. We cannot fault the care he has had, staff have been so helpful from the very start!

We are so happy that our child attends The Old Station. The staff are all so kind, caring and attentive and she is greeted with a warm friendly smile every day. They always make such an effort with the activities they provide throughout the day and make an extra special effort when there is a holiday or celebration. They are very good at providing updates on development and how her day has been. We are so glad we found The Old Station.

My child attends Filkins Nursery in the preschool room. She is very happy there and although she may be one of the eldest, she is content and kept busy doing the things she loves most. The nursery is child-led and will make extra effort to meet my child’s individual needs.

My child moved nurseries due to a house move. I was very nervous about the change of setting. I have to say this is by far the best nursery/childcare setting that my son has had. He is extremely happy here. The days are never the same, forest school is such a great addition to the nursery. The staff are also faultless. I would recommend this nursery over and over again, without a doubt.

I would highly recommend Filkins Nursery. Our daughter started in September and has not looked back since. All the staff are very welcoming and friendly which creates a lovely atmosphere for the children to be in. Every day there seems to be different fun, creative and educational activities - French, yoga, cooking, forest school. She comes back every day excited to tell me what they have been up to. It is easy to get daily feedback on how she is doing or if anything needs to be flagged up. Although she has a key carer, because it is a small setting, all the staff are approachable and helpful. I am watching my daughter grow more confident, learning new skills, making friends and enjoying herself and it is a joy! Thank you Filkins!

My son has attended the Old Station nursery for almost a year and in that time, has been so well looked after. All of the team are so caring and he is absolutely thriving under their care. The nursery facilities are brilliant and they have access to plenty of great outdoor activities and crafts etc. He couldn’t be happier and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone. The children all look so happy there.

My daughter started back in September 2021 and we’ve had such a wonderful experience. The whole team are so lovely and caring and genuine. They have looked after my daughter so well and she really enjoys going.

We’ve been so impressed with Filkins nursery. The team are all incredible, so dedicated and caring. They do so much for the children and make everyday full of wonderful activities. They make learning fun and interactive and I always love hearing what they’ve been up to, either on the App or when I collect my son at the end of the day. The nursery itself is lovely, inside is a wonderful space and outside has a fabulous playground and forest school. They also have occasional trips out to the field/park and walks through the woods. I’m so pleased we found Filkins and can’t thank you team there enough.

The staff and general atmosphere at Filkins Nursery are both fantastic. In-depth, good quality feedback is given on my child's day when he is picked up. The setting is brilliant - Filkins has a large outside space which is used regularly (again according to the great feedback upon pickup). My child enjoys himself and always has plenty to say about his day on the journey home. Friendly and professional staff, my son enjoys every day he is in, would highly recommend Filkins Nursery.

My daughter has recently started nursery and she absolutely loves it! As a parent, you want to find a place where your child will be happy and we have certainly found this here. The staff have been so welcoming and caring when settling her in and she is happy and excited to go to her sessions. The activities look like great fun and the chickens are a definite hit!

The staff at Filkins are extremely friendly, polite and are amazing with the kids. My two girls love(d) going, and as each child has a key worker, you become really close with their teacher. It does feel somewhat of a family setting as you can see they genuinely care for the children they look after. Any issues that are mentioned are dealt with quickly and efficiently.

In addition to the staff being so lovely, the facilities are amazing. The forest school is fantastic, as well as the outdoor space generally. It is a lovely setting, and we feel very happy and lucky to have found it.

The Old Station Nursery have been nothing but welcoming from day one. They treat each child individually and do activities inside and outside that interest all. We’ve been very pleased with the service as we are always updated on what our child has been doing.

The Old Station Nursery, Filkins is fantastic. The staff are experienced, warm and make you feel at ease. I feel like I drop off my daughter into a little family of people excited to look after her. The activities are so fun and she has the best time. The feedback is good and the staff makes me feel like nothing is too much to ask. The only area that I wouldn't rave about as much is the afternoon snack. The food supplied is good, it is just a bit of a middle ground. Not enough to replace her dinner but enough that it fills her up. Leaves a bit of a funny dinner time at home.

Our daughter has been at this nursery for two months now and has settled in so well. All the staff are incredibly friendly and kind, and I feel very confident that my daughter is being well looked after and is very happy at the nursery which is so important. Very happy parent!
