The Old Station Nursery Filkins

My son started nursery at 10 months old. He loves it at the nursery and loves the staff. The activities and attention he receives there has developed his speech. motor skills and confidence. He tries a variety of foods and I really feel the staff care for him as an individual and with the same level of attention he would get at home.

The passion, energy, patience and respect of the team at OSN Filkins is first rate. I am extremely happy my child has a learning environment where they can thrive and have fun. I would definitely recommend.

The main thing is is she is happy and she goes in every time with a great big smile and excited to see what they are doing for the day!

We absolutely love The Old Station Filkins Nursery! The new baby room is fantastic, and our little one clearly feels the same, as he leans forward with a big smile every morning, eager to go in. The staff are so kind and caring, creating such a nurturing environment where our child is truly thriving. There's always a great mix of fun activities and thoughtful sensory sessions. Such an incredible place and community. I was so nervous when transitioning my daughter from childminding to nursery but the staff at Filkins made me feel so incredibly at ease and such a smooth process. My daughter has since absolutely thrived in the nursery for that I'm so grateful. They are so accommodating and the smaller village nursery feel at Filkins means my daughter gets almost the exact same time with her main contact as she would at childminders.

The Filkins Nursery is a fantastic place for children. They have a spacious play area and a dedicated forest school, which my boys absolutely love. They enjoy sharing stories with me about their day and all the activities they do with their friends. My boys have grown and progressed significantly here, thanks to the amazing teachers who work tirelessly to create a safe and nurturing environment. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the teachers who continue to care for my boys.

This nursery has been absolutely brilliant! Our child loves it and all the staff. He adores his key person which is lovely to see. The team has been great, flexible, caring and ready to support however they can. The leadership is great, arranging necessary provisions for our child to move on to school and arranging meetings for us to follow our child's progress. We are so very grateful for the hard work that you do! The kindness and the humanity that you've shown us is really touching!

The Filkins Nursery has been nothing but a pleasure and joy for our son. He is always excited about going and loves spending time there. For us, it's been a thrill to see how he has grown and developed, with the reassuring knowledge that he has been well looked after and cared for. The staff are very friendly and caring, they have the children's best interests at heart. The nursery has an excellent range of equipment, activities, and facilities for the children, there is always something new and exciting to keep the children engaged while ensuring the focus is always around play. It's very reassuring to see whenever I drop off or collect my son that all I see are happy, engaged children having a lot of fun.

Absolute brilliant nursery. Nothing is ever too much for the staff. Our daughter has come on so far since starting at Filkins. We are so happy we found this nursery - couldn't recommend it more highly!

This is a wonderful nursery, my son is really happy here. He enjoys all the activities he takes part in and always has lots of stories to tell me about his day! The staff are brilliant and he has such a lovely bond with them, this really helped him settle in when he first started. Communication is brilliant - there's always time to have a chat with a member of staff at the end of the day and the staff are quick to respond if we have any queries via email. The nursery is such a warm and kind environment and we couldn't be happier with the care he receives, and all the fun he has!

The Old Station Nursery Filkins is a wonderful nursery and is in a beautiful small village setting. Such caring and fun staff who take great care in learning the child as an individual and their interests. Our daughter loves her days there. She has learnt a great amount and made a good group of friends.

My son has been going here for six months and I can honestly say, it is a fantastic nursery! The staff are brilliant and are so attentive to the children's needs. They are always thinking outside the box and organising events and visits for the children.

The staff are always thinking of new and interesting activities to keep learning fresh and exciting.

My boys are very happy about this nursery. The staff in the 2-3y room are super, all are wonderful, loving, caring and professional women. The atmosphere is welcoming, stimulating to learn and make friends. My children are excited and involved in the activities that are organized every day. The management, which I found not decisive on essential points, and the App need improvements. The kids spend a long time indoors when it's hot also due to a lack of shelter from the sun. I asked why there were no parasols outside for children and staff on the hottest days, I was told something new would be bought. Two weeks later, I requested an update, having not seen any new parasols/gazebos, and I was mistaken for someone who dictated what to do. I felt misunderstood and misjudged. Anyway, no solution has been found so far. The information about children's nutrition is insufficient and confusing. The snack menu and food should be present daily on the app. Moreover, the app is too little updated and not very exhaustive.

Recently we have had multiple issues with the nursery, mainly due to a lack of communication. But also we don't seem to be told a lot about how our child is doing. The parent zone app is rarely updated as well. For the money that is paid for the nursery I do find that since the nursery manager has changed the service that is being offered has altered massively, and unfortunately is not like the great service we used to receive.

It will be a sad day for him and us when he has to leave and move on to big school.

We are over the moon with the care we have been given at Filkins Old Station Nursery. My son goes in happy to see his key carer every day and comes out with so many stories of all the activities he's done though out the day. They are always very quick to respond if I have any questions and are very accommodating to our needs.

The communication between the nursery and parents is great and there is always a large range of activities on offer.

My daughter loved every day at Filkins Nursery, everyone is very caring and they have a fantastic variety of educational activities. Always prompt to respond to calls and the communication was just fantastic. I highly recommend it for the knowledge, skill and attitude. The nursery is fantastic! My daughter loves going, the updates we received are well constructed and give us a snapshot of her day. She loves her key worker and talks about her all the time at home, which to me shows the bond that she has created with her. The range of activities they do ranges from numeracy and literacy to Forest school. I can only recommend the nursery highly as I think it is a great setting for a child to start their education.
