Mama Bear's Day Nursery & Pre-School (Torquay)

I did a lot of research to find the best nursery for my son to attend in Torquay, and Mama Bears has not disappointed. The nursery practitioners clearly love what they do, and I can see how much they care about my son when they tell me about his day. They are extremely communicative, and I get regular updates on nappy changes, meals, nap times and snapshots of what he's been up to. It took a couple of weeks for him to settle as he's only a year old, but now he absolutely loves going, and barely looks back as he puts his arms out for his key worker. I highly recommend Mama Bears, Torquay!

This is a wonderful nursery, my 1 year old currently attends and my 4 year old has just left for primary school and both have been so happy there. All the staff are wonderful, Vicky and the team are so friendly, welcoming and care for the children so well. The baby room team are so nurturing and caring and do such great activities with the little ones. And all the staff in the big room prepared my daughter so well for the transition to school. The app is fantastic, the staff upload all the daily info on food, sleep, nappies and I really love the photos and updates on their developmental progress. I highly recommend Mama Bears Torquay.

Honestly amazing. The team genuinely care and know the children as individuals. I whole heartedly trust them with my little girl. They're super interactive with her. They update me from the little things like every nappy change to once a week posting up a few pictures of my child playing and how she's developmentally getting on. Super professional. This is a lovely nursery. My 20-month-old daughter attends here and my 12-year-old son attended 9 years ago, his key worker at the time still works here to this present day. At present the staff are very friendly kind understanding and have your child's best interest at heart. They keep you updated hourly on sleep, nappy changes, and meals. They also help improve your child's development. Would highly recommend it. Thanks.

Both my boys have attended Mama Bears, the staff are always really friendly and interact with the children so well. Vicky and the team put a lot of effort into making sure the children get the most out of their sessions, always doing lots of different activities.

I am very happy with Mama’s Bear Day Nursery. The staff is being always friendly and professional. My son really enjoys attending nursery after he settled with practitioners and going in very happy.

My son has been attending this nursery for two years now and I must say, his communication skills have improved and he’s more expressive than before thanks to the help of the teachers of the nursery. Additionally, the manager is helpful whenever I have concerns or requests.

My Daughter has been at Mama Bear's Day Nursery & Pre-School for 18 months now. I honestly cannot fault the nursery at all. My daughter is thriving and has become more confident. I love hearing about her day and all the wonderful activities she joins in with. I am so glad I decided to send her to Mama Bear's. It is the best nursery in the area. I was delighted when they received their outstanding Ofsted last year, as I truly believe the nursery and team are outstanding. The Manager and Staff are a credit to the company.

The nursery is an amazing setting. My niece has thrived since being with the nursery. Her confidence has grown and her knowledge is amazing. She has learnt so many things since being in nursery. She loves going every week and tells me all about it when I see her. She loves the staff and the setting. I believe the staff all do an amazing job. The nursery is managed well, all staff are very welcoming. I would highly recommend the nursery to anyone looking for a nursery.

Mama Bears at Barwell is fantastic, all staff are friendly and hardworking. My daughter loves going here, she has progressed in her learning, talking and made friends. My daughter will be sad to leave. Thank you to all the staff you're doing amazing!

My third child is currently at Mama Bears Nursery and I've never had a problem! The staff are super friendly, always smiling and have been super helpful, I'm always asking for advice if I need it and I get it with no judgements. I think you're all amazing!

My daughter first started in January and she absolutely loves it, the settling in with the staff was amazing making her feel comfortable and happy. I get regular updates on her, all members of staff are amazing, couldn't ask for a better nursery with so much love and dedication to each individual.

Ever since my child started there until now, I can’t fault them at all, they are really good and help with anything you need aka yourself or your child. I would so recommend others to go there as well as the experience is the best.

My son has attended Mama Bear’s since he was 18 months old. As he is a Covid baby with some additional challenges, it was important to me to find a place that would support and understand his needs and I feel the staff at Mama Bear’s do just that. He really enjoys nursery; all of his key workers have been brilliant, demonstrating a knowledge of his personality and needs that is both reassuring and comforting to me as a mum. The nursery is well-managed and the staff are approachable, kind and knowledgeable. I was thrilled when they achieved their (deserved) Outstanding OFSTED status. My son has made progress at Mama Bear’s that I don’t think he’d have made just being at home; he gets to participate in all sorts of wonderful activities, making it far easier to get him to bed on the nights he’s attended! I definitely plan to send my next little one to Mama Bear’s in the near future.

My daughter settled in here right away, no tears. She absolutely loves going and will always get so excited walking down the road to nursery. She's made so many friends and enjoys the different types of activities and outside areas. The staff are incredibly supportive and so helpful here. My daughter's verbal communication and socializing has developed so much since coming here. Forever grateful my daughter feels right at home here! One very happy Mama Bear!

Since my daughter started in the summer last year, I’ve seen a huge improvement in her speech, fine motor skills and behaviour. She always comes home with a smile on her face! The staff are all lovely and very helpful. I’ve had no issues or problems here whatsoever. I would definitely recommend the nursery to anyone else.
