I was so nervous about sending my eight-month-old to nursery so I could return to work. She had never been away from me before.
I first visited the nursery during an open evening while I was still pregnant, and the ladies were so warm and welcoming. From the very first morning I dropped her off, Shannon,
Justine and Aleesha have made the experience incredible for both me and my daughter-no worry and no tears.
I love seeing the bond they've built with my little girl and how comfortable she is there without me. She's doing all the things she loves-taking part in new activities, learning new things, playing outside every day, and even trying new foods.

I was very anxious about sending my daughter to nursery, choosing Bambino's didn't even feel like a choice after reading their wonderful reviews and OFSTED report. All of the staff alleviated any worries I had within the first visit. They worked so hard to help my daughter's separation anxiety and now
she shuts the door on me when I drop her off and barely wants to leave at pick up. Everyone is so friendly, helpful, and you can tell their main focus is the children and what's best for them. My daughter LOVES the staff, she comes home talking about them and will bring them up constantly. Her speech, understanding, confidence etc have come along so much while she's been there.
My daughter has intolerances to certain foods and their communication regarding these are amazing, how they're always offering alternatives or ensuring that she has the "same but different" food the other children have is such attention to detail.

We've had such a positive experience with Bambinos over the past 6 months. Our 1.5 year old has come on so much in that time, especially in their language skills and overall confidence. The team are caring, attentive, and genuinely invested in the children's development. We get a great handover after
every session and it's lovely to see how happy and settled our daughter is at nursery.

It is so nice to see her actualy wanting to go into the setting willingly. So I can leave her with confidence and know she is in safe hands.

Bambinos is an amazing nursery, the staff are always friendly and really helpful. My eldest attended before he started primary school and they really catered to his interests and supported his learning. Now my youngest attends and is thriving. The nursery has such a good community and both of my boys
love the event days- particularly the Christmas ones where they get to do craft activities and last year made decorations for the tree. Communication with the nursery is straightforward and the App means I have all the information and photos about my son. The focus on outdoor play is really important to me, and when the weather doesn't permit this the indoor activities are engaging and educational. I cannot rate this nursery high enough!

Our son has been at Bambino's since he was 9 months old and now he is 3 and a bit.
We have seen him progress from basement all the way up to the top floor and he really enjoys it.
The staff have been great with him and we would recommend it to anyone thinking of sending their little ones.

Both of my daughters have loved coming to Bambinos. My youngest has just moved to preschool at the start of the year and loves going in. The transition was brilliant and I know she feels so happy and comfortable with all the staff. They keep her happy, occupied and engaged each week.

Both of my girls have been going to this nursery. My eldest is now 6 and at school, but even now, when we drop off her younger sibling or pick her up, she remembers the lovely, friendly staff members and enjoys exploring all of the rooms and garden filled with activities. My youngest daughter who still
goes here has loved going since she was 8 months old. The staff are so caring and willing to give the time and attention to her, especially when she is upset. Your team at the Tavistock branch are a credit to your organisation. We have been so happy with the care our girls have received and reassured that they are safe and happy themselves.

I have 2 children currently attending Bambinos Tavistock, in the pre school and 2-3's, both boys thoroughly enjoy their days at nursery and the wide variety of creative activities they get involved in, the children spend plenty of time in the garden and are encouraged to play imaginatively, my oldest
really enjoys takong party in yoga. The staff are friendly and encouraging with toilet training, trying new foods and reminding children of their manners and sharing with friends. Despite how busy they are there is always time to give a summary of their day and the app works well providing a daily diary and snapshots of their days. I feel it's preparing my oldest well for the routine of school and encouraging my youngest confidence levels. There are various open days and events throughout the year that parents are invited along to making us part of the nursery family and parents evening once a term for a more in depth summary of their progress with key person

I cannot praise Tavistock Bambinos enough for how well they support my 2 children (2 and 4 ). My partner has recently returned to full time work and because of this, my children now attend the setting daily- sometimes a full day and sometimes half. My youngest absolutely adores her teachers and friends
and is always talking about who she has played with. She is thrilled with the time she gets to spend outdoors and we love looking through her daily diary pictures - where it is clear she is living her absolute best life! My son likes to know if he is having a short day or a long day and the staff have been brilliant at supporting him to feel settled into his new routine. Our son is due to start school in September and we were concerned about how he would adjust. But thanks to the support from the Pre-School team our concerns are lessening everyday- especially with the knew knowledge he comes home sprouting every week!

I was initially quite nervous about my little one starting nursery, but he's settled in so amazingly! He's excited when we arrive now and goes willingly and happily to the staff. The staff at Bambino's are amazing, our daughter is always excited to get dropped off in the mornings and is at ease. The staff really do put in a lot of effort to keep our daughter engaged and we have seen a massive improvement in her development. There are always fun activities planned and we love
seeing daily photos and reading about her day. We especially like that there are various areas for our daughter to explore so she is always engaged. The management team are extremely friendly, understanding of circumstances and accommodating with any needs you may have. I would highly recommend Bambino's to anyone looking for a fun and loving environment.

Very welcoming friendly staff, my daughter has settled in very well. It's a great atmosphere, with plenty of activities and creative things for little ones. The meals they received all sounds delicious with my little one thoroughly enjoying all the meals and snacks.

I can't express enough just how brilliant Bambinos Childcare Centre Tavistock has been. The staff are all wonderful and have looked after my son amazingly. He has learnt so much from attending the nursery and has grown so much since being there.
The nursery has a fantastic outdoor space which has
been a favourite for my son. Having the vast amount of space outside has just been brilliant. And indoor space is just as great with plenty of activities and learning. Bambinos has really encouraged a lot of singing (nursery rhymes) and dancing which he continues at home. He always comes out of nursery having had a fantastic day.

My child is always so excited to see the staff members at Bambinos Childcare Centre and he is always greeted with such warmth, happiness and comfort. They genuinely care about the children here and they put so much love into their job, it really shows. I have used Bambinos for the past six years for
two children and despite some changes in staff, they have maintained the highest level of professionalism. They are, by far, the best nursery in Tavistock.

Our boy (started at 9 months, now 18 months) loves going to nursery. The staff are amazing and there are always different activities going on for him. His development came on so much, it's been great for him. I was nervous to send him so young but Bambinos Childcare Centre has been brilliant. I recommend

Marni Tanfield

Job Title: Manager

Hi, I’m Marni. I began my career in early years over 10 years ago as an apprentice, also working as a 1:1 support for children with Autism. After qualifying, I progressed to Team Leader in an under-twos room before moving into a Nursery Manager role.


Following our family move to Devon, I continued my journey as a Team Leader in a 2–to 3-year room and am now proud to be Nursery Manager here in Tavistock.


I believe every child is unique, and that the early years are a vital time for developing the skills that support them throughout life. Creating a home-from-home environment where children feel safe, excited and confident to explore is at the heart of everything I do.


Outside of nursery life, I’m a mum to two young boys. As a family, we enjoy long walks with our dog, especially trips to the beach, and I love relaxing with a good book when I can.


The most rewarding part of my role is supporting both families and my team, whether that’s offering reassurance, sharing experience or celebrating achievements along the way.
