Puffins at Manston Terrace

The staff are absolutely wonderful. Our son joined the nursery after the first lockdown was lifted, so he was very nervous after being at home with us for such a long time. The staff were fantastic and allowed him to settle in his own pace. It only took a few days and he was running in to see them.

My daughter attended the nursery pre-school and it was a great environment to be in for her. She made lots of friends and was thriving there. The staff was very supportive and helpful towards her, as well as the parents. My son also attends the nursery and goes there happily. They are quite active on platforms to show their daily activities, with pictures, as well as letting me know what he ate throughout the day, and how much. All questions are being answered in a timely manner. Overall, great nursery and would highly recommend to parent friends.

An excellent nursery with a very happy atmosphere and incredibly friendly and caring staff. Our daughter started in the baby room and stayed all the way through to pre-school and her two young siblings are working their way through the nursery as well. Very impressed across the board!

My little boy has been going to Puffins for nearly two years and he absolutely loves it. The staff are amazing with him and he always has a lovely day, packed full of exciting activities. His speech is delayed, but the staff have been really helpful working with him in a fun way and he is showing a marked improvement week on week. The menu is lovely and my little boy eats everything, every time he attends! I would highly recommend Puffins at Manston Terrace. The staff are all really approachable and helpful, and the nursery has been extremely flexible with my wife and I, who are both shift workers which just makes life so much easier.

I couldn't be happier with Puffins at Manston Terrace. The staff are so kind and caring and put a lot of effort into ensuring that my daughter is comfortable and happy in the nursery environment. She started in the baby room when she had just turned 1; I was particularly pleased with the sleeping room there, which adjoins the playroom and has a variety of sleeping options to suit your little one. The daily menu is healthy and varied and all freshly cooked on site. The management is excellent, very organised and consistent.

The children occasionally go on outings to a local park or the library. One of the best features about this nursery is the settling in policy - you are in charge of the schedule and can arrange as many settling in sessions as you think your child will need. Also, everything is provided - food, nappies, suncream, wellies, you name it! You only need to send in a change of clothes.

We are delighted with the level of care provided. My child comes back home in excellent form and full of smiles. We also love parentzone as it gives us a better overview of her day.

They put care also into knowing the children as the individuals they were and were responsive to any of our requests. The manager was also a wonderful help and provided great leadership to the nursery.

Puffins at Manston Terrace is an incredible nursery. I've had my daughter with them for over a year now, and have just started our 8-month-old boy there as well. Throughout this time the nursery has become more of a family to us. When me and my partner have had questions about how to raise our kids they've been incredibly helpful, taking time to listen to our concerns and give really clear advice. We've also had some very difficult circumstances at home recently, and without their flexibility and support, it's hard to see that we would ever have coped. I really can't recommend this nursery highly enough, it's brilliant, thank you.

Absolutely wonderful staff, cannot fault them. I have complete peace of mind leaving my 1-year-old daughter in their care.

My son has been attending Puffins from the age of 10 months. He started back in 2014 and is now due to graduate in July this year. I have been very happy with the care my son has received while at Puffins both academically and pastorally from staff from the age of a baby to him nearly being 5 years old. I am sad to see my son leave for mainstream school but I am extremely proud of what the teachers and him have achieved together whilst he has been under their care. I know when he is at Puffins I can go to work completely at ease and focused for my day job. Thank you.

My son attended pre-school at Puffins, Manston Terrace for 18 months and was very happy there. The staff are lovely, really friendly and caring and I certainly recommend it.

The pre-school area is over the entire top floor so there is plenty of space for the children to play in and different rooms to use.

He went to forest school there too, which was in their garden and he loved making a fire and toasting marshmallows!

They play in the garden a lot and take the children out on local adventures and there is a chef on site and the food is really good.

A great location and facilities, but the staff make it as they are all so lovely.

My daughter attended this nursery, only for a year (as we moved into the area) and loved it. She settled well and the staff couldn't do more if they tried. She always came home talking about the amazing adventures they had been on, from visiting a reptile shop to the park, also getting my daughter ready for school and making it another adventure. The staff truly are remarkable and just take the time to engage and encourage the children where possible. There was never a problem and she and I will really miss it. I can not recommend this Nursery enough.

Our child has been attending this setting for the past 18 months. We are delighted with the service and care we receive. Our daughter is so happy in the morning when we drop her in and we always receive a very warm welcome from the staff. The quality of care and learning opportunities is very high. It is really important that our daughter feels safe and secure in the setting and we know that she does. We feel the staff and Manager go above and beyond what is expected to ensure the service they give meets our individual needs. Thank you Puffins!

I was initially apprehensive about putting my first born into nursery but the staff made the experience an effortless transition. My daughter is so happy at nursery and is thriving in such a warm, nurturing and encircling environment. The staff team work really hard to make the children feel valued and secure and parents feel included in their development with regular updates, newsletters etc. I have recommended it highly to my friends with young children.

My daughter loves attending nursery and has strong relationships with the staff in her room. The food and activities seem excellent and the staff are able to give a detailed account of the day for your child and keep you updated well. I would definitely recommend it.
