Puffins at Mont Le Grand

Excellent nursery with lovely, caring staff who are always supportive and attentive. My child has really enjoyed attending and has developed so much since starting there. The activities are engaging and well planned, and communication with parents is always clear and professional. We're very happy with the care and support provided and would highly recommend Puffins Mont le Grand.

My son absolutely loves this nursery and lights up when he sees the team. He always comes home full of smiles and cannot wait to go back again. He started here very young at just 5 months old but settled in so so well and we think the whole team are wonderful.

Puffins at Mont Le Grand is a wonderful nursery in Exeter. The staff are kind, respectful, and caring, and the management team is excellent. My son is 2 years old and has been attending this nursery since he was 6 months old. We are very happy that we chose Puffins at Mont Le Grand for him.

Our daughter has been at Puffins since she was one and her brother recently joined the nursery too. They will both be there until they go to school and thoroughly love it! Our daughter loved spending time with a particular member of staff (before moving rooms) and it's lovely that our son is now enjoying time with her too (as well as the rest of the team in that room). Our daughter has recently moved to 'the big girl room' but she does keep telling us she is missing two people in particular who we know she loved to play with. Everyone at the nursery is really friendly and works hard to create a nurturing environment for all the children.

I would highly recommend Puffins- Mont Le Grand for nursery/pre-school care. Our older daughter went here and our younger one currently attends. We really like that there are many trips; walks to the local park, charity shops and a favourite was a trip to the Christmas Market where they had a Babyccino by the cathedral. They provide wonderful learning opportunities- nature explorers, yoga sessions and structured storytelling sessions for the pre-schoolers. The space is clean, bright and well-organised. Staff go above and beyond with the little ones they care for and both girls have had some super key workers. All staff work hard to build relationships with the little ones in their care but I want to especially mention one member of staff in particular who has been so supportive with both of our children. She was really great when my daughter needed extra help with her speech and organised extra sessions to help and support her.

Great nursery, great facilities, friendly staff and a happy daughter. Plenty to see and do and lots of opportunities for messy play and learning. Good administration. Great setting.

Since our son started in January 2023 he has come on leaps and bounds. He has made friends. The lady has helped him since he has started. We have registered our daughter there and she has already bonded with the ladies as we put her in there at least once a month to get her ready for September and she is already full of confidence. The staff are amazing and willing to help us no matter what.

I enrolled my little boy at Puffins Mont le Grand in November. My daughter used to attend Puffins too and loved it. My little boy took much longer to settle at nursery, he is much more sensitive and has had his ups and downs, but the staff have been amazing at helping him to feel at ease. They have considered the fact he knows and loves a routine (so clearly talk him through his day so he knows when he will be collected), and recognise that he forms strong attachments easily so have encouraged him to bond with multiple staff. The staff have conducted home visits to get to know him better in an environment he is more comfortable in and advised on extra settle sessions too. He still has his moments but definitely now looks forward to his nursery days, talking about who he will play with and the staff he will see. Thank you especially to the staff in the baby room, and in Bumblebees!

My son has been attending since April this year and always enjoys himself. The staff are always welcoming and put our minds at ease. Our son's key worker is so warm and he absolutely loves her. They go on lots of outings and I love getting updates on the app. Thank you, Mont Le Grand.

My daughter has been at Puffins since she was 2 and will remain there up until 4.5 when she goes to school. During that time I have witnessed her develop brilliantly, especially in terms of sharing, regulating her emotions, being kind to others and general socialising. Not all of these things have always come naturally, so the staff have done really well to foster these behaviours in her. Her key workers have been very patient and nurturing but also continue to enjoy a fun relationship with her that includes lots of laughter! I would definitely recommend Puffins at Mont le Grand for reliable, inclusive and nurturing childcare.

My son has absolutely thrived since joining Puffins at Mont Le Grand and I have no doubt that is due to the wonderful staff. Everyone, including the manager, is caring, enthusiastic, and genuinely enjoys nurturing and spending time with the children. The communication is great and they have a great range of indoor and outdoor activities, as well as trips to keep the children engaged. I cannot recommend highly enough.

My son is so happy at this nursery. He is so well supported by all the staff there. We have recently applied for an Education Health and Care Plan for him and it has been accepted. The support from all the staff here has been incredible. The SENDCO has been amazing at helping with the EHCP, as has two members of staff in particular one being his keyworker. Another member of staff is really brilliant with our son and always so helpful. Another member of staff is also so kind and happy and helpful. Our son has also loved his other staff members. His speech is a bit behind but he always talks about staff on the way to nursery and I think that shows how safe and loved he feels there. His keyworker in particular has always got time to chat through stuff, as have many of the other staff. We are so pleased with his care. Thank you.

My child actively looks forward to going to nursery and I am so happy with how the staff nurture his development. The work of three staff members in particular is faultless; it's like he's being looked after by family!

Nothing is too much of an ask and the manager goes out of her way to make sure parents feel reassured and children are safe and happy. I am so happy my daughter is at Mont Le Grand. They have worked really hard to make the transition to nursery a positive one and I am so grateful to them all. I love receiving all my updates during the day and seeing her happily playing. It was the best choice and I highly recommend them to all parents!

Our 2-year-old daughter has been attending Puffins at Mont Le Grand for the past 8 months. She was previously attending another nursery that closed their baby room due to staff shortages. This change was a blessing in disguise. The nursery staff are so welcoming, personable and engaging with the children. Our daughter is excited to attend nursery and talks about her friends and what she gets up to there. The team are great at keeping us updated daily with photos and comments. It has been such a breath of fresh air in comparison to her previous nursery. I would highly recommend Puffins, they do a fantastic job!

We've had a good experience with this nursery over the last year and our little one is positive about their time there. We appreciate the outings that they do when their staffing ratios permit. Several of the staff are really excellent.

The staff are great, and they do loads of fun activities that are great for development. We are updated with comments and photos on a daily basis through the app, which is excellent. I’ve sent both my daughters to Puffins. My youngest has been there since she was 3 months. It’s been excellent. My eldest no longer goes there but misses it. I would thoroughly recommend it! Safe and nurturing environment. The manager is lovely.
