Every day at Pixieland Mannamead, children are welcomed into a warm, engaging and attentive environment in which they are encouraged to learn through play and interact positively with other children. The outdoor area is spacious and inviting for children to explore and use their gross motor skills.

The under 2-year-olds, enjoy learning with their senses, through paint and textures, enjoying water play and gloop.

The highly skilled team at Pixieland recognises the importance of providing security and care in equal measures and has CCTV for peace of mind for the parents and effective safeguarding.

The purpose-built soft play area allows the children to have gross motor play all year round. The children enjoy drama, imaginative play, yoga, music instruments and lots more in this room too.

The welfare of the children is of the upmost importance, through an exceptional key worker system, practitioners can ensure the individual needs of the children are met.

When my son comes home and he is smiling and talking non stop in the car, I know he has had another great day. He talks about the staff continuously and knows them all by name, and he always has a big smile as he is talking. The nursery staff from the newest member of the team right the way through
to the manager all know him by name and always greet him with a smile and by his name. In return, he always says thank you at the end of the day to show them how much he appreciates their hard work. They are a credit to themselves and to Pixieland.

If you want a hands-on fun-loving nursery with a great, happy atmosphere then Pixieland is the one for you.
The girls are amazing and my son absolutely loves it. Will be sad when he leaves for school next year.
I trust them all with my son's education and well-being, can’t say much more than that.
The accounts lady is amazing as well as management. Spot on.

This nursery is 100% the best nursery I have seen.
My wife and I are quite OCD and I'm sure most parents, when looking for their child’s nursery, are as well. We looked at quite a number of nurseries in the area of Plymouth in its entirety and this nursery by far leaves the rest in the dust. A well
coordinated, friendly, colourful and crazy clean environment, my child has thrived here. He is always a step above what’s apparently expected of children these days. He loves the nursery and my wife and I feel happy and safe knowing our child is well cared for and fed/treated appropriately.
All the girls working here take a huge interest in the child’s development and they have the facilities to ensure this. Sadly, we have to move further north for work commitments and the only thing we will miss is this nursery. We are spoilt with this nursery and no other will compare though we are happy our son will be cared for in his new nursery, it’s just a shame we can’t take you guys with us!

My 2-year-old twins currently attend this nursery and are thriving.
Since starting, they have gained so much confidence and they are progressing excellently with their speech.
They absolutely love going to nursery and have such a great relationship with all the staff not only in their room but the
office staff too.
The resources are great and they love the ‘jungle gym’ and outside space.
My daughter has a milk allergy and the cook prepares alternatives for her at meal times. When I leave, I know they are safe and being well looked after and loved. It’s also nice to receive photos and videos through an app.

The nursery has provided nothing but excellent care and attention to both my daughter and myself. My daughter has attended the nursery since 1 year of age - she is now 3 years old.
I am pregnant with my second and will definitely be enrolling my second daughter once I return to work.

My son has attended Pixieland for 8 months, initially in the tiny tots and now in the toddler room.
We cannot recommend the setting highly enough. The staff are excellent: patient, professional, caring and our son enjoys going to nursery.
Initially, he found the separation tricky but again, the
staff worked hard with him to find a strategy that worked to support him and he now transitions to nursery without a second thought.
Our son has developed many new skills since starting this nursery and we are really pleased with his progress as well as the care he receives.


We visited 4 local nurseries before settling on Pixielands and we are so glad we did.

An amazing nursery which both of my children have attended and have loved their time there. We will be sad to leave when our son starts school in September. My Son has been with Pixieland Mannamead for 10 months now and absolutely loves it. The staff are amazingly supportive, friendly and first class caregivers, they seem to have a spot on balance between development and fun.


The facilities are great, especially the jungle gym, sensory room and large

outdoor area. The food looks great (and my fussy toddler eats it all!) and I have spotted the local greengrocers dropping off supplies, so would assume it to be of good quality as well.


The Admin team are beyond helpful with billing enquiries, funding and booking extra sessions.


Just perfect, would highly recommend!

My son started at Pixieland Day Nursery - Mannamead in March 2019 and thanks to the kind and caring nature of the staff he settled in very quickly. The staff always have time to answer any queries I might have and they clearly have a good routine in place for the children in their care. The premises
are always clean and tidy and they have good safeguarding procedures in place.


I particularly like how the children are taken outside to play whenever the weather is nice. It is also great receiving photos (via an app) of what my son has been up to during his day.

My little boy is in the baby room and has been there since he was 8 months old. The room leader is outstanding and my little boy's main carer is the best person you could hope to have looking after your child. So patient and kind and you can tell she genuinely loves seeing the children each day. I really
feel like the nursery helps his development and love the fact they set next steps which help us first-time parents out as to what they should be doing next to continue what they are learning in nursery. Thank you so much to them all, I wouldn't want to send him anywhere else.

I can't thank Pixieland Mannamead enough, being a first-time mum I was so worried about going back to work but the staff at Pixieland have made the transition easy. My daughter loves being at nursery, the girls are so friendly and patient and take great care over the children. They do lots of fun things
that I don't have the time or space to do at home, mother's day this year was extra special because of the artwork that came home with my daughter! Plus the food is homemade and always sounds yummy! If you are looking for a fun, down to earth, caring and engaging nursery this is the one for you!

My daughter has been at this nursery for 2.5 years starting in toddlers and moving up to preschool. The girls at Pixieland Day Nursery are absolutely superb - I cannot praise them enough. They have looked after our son since a very young age and he really enjoys his time spent there. Our son can be somewhat 'challenging' at times but the girls take it in their stride and discipline him accordingly
when necessary.
