Very friendly and helpful staff. Our child always has a great time when he is in their care, I have no concerns about his well being and you can see he's learning all the time too. The new playground is fab. Food is prepared fresh on site so all in all we are very happy.

My daughter had a really good time at the nursery. The staff were very good in their care. Good handover at the end of the day. As parent's we were informed of every change throughout. The building work was handled very, well there wasn't much disruption which was really assuring as a parent. My daughter will really miss the nursery and all the lovely staff.

Honeytree staff are amazing! They're so supportive and understanding of each individual child. We get a breakdown at pick-up of all the activities and food of the day. The facilities are amazing. The whole place is really clean. I highly recommend it.

The nursery is a warm and welcoming in terms of setting and staff. It offers a secure and nurturing environment for children. The management team are hard working, caring and always striving to make use of resources outside of the nursery setting to improve the way they work internally. Children are happy and thrive right up until leaving for school, and recently the nursery have really engaged with the important transition between nursery and school, offering school readiness sessions for the children. As a parent, I am warmly welcomed, my ideas/questions/concerns for myself and on behalf of other parents been addressed with careful consideration and promptly. The nursery have regular sessions encouraging parents to get involved with nursery life and providing important feedback. It supports and encourages the continued learning of the staff having huge benefits for the children as well in that the staff are always trying to achieve and better themselves in their jobs and careers.

The staff keep the children engaged and understand new places can seem daunting to children when they first start. They encourage independence in day to day skills and inquisitive thinking during play sessions.

My child loves attending Honeytree and enjoys the caring environment created by all the staff. I feel well informed by monthly newsletters sent out by email. The children have good access to the outside but it would be nice to have some more physical play equipment, for some of the active ones. I am unsure how much access the children have to ICT, maybe an interactive whiteboard would be nice. The children have started cooking activities which my child loves to participate in. My child's learning diary is kept up to date and is full of interesting and informative observations, with pictures and art work created during his time in nursery.

I am happy with the quality of care and learning the nursery provides. I have worked in the nursery for 7 years and had three babies which all attended at 9 months. I feel that the staff give me positive feedback and especially with my baby (11 months) as he has complex needs. Also to date more multicultural activities are recognised and acted upon and training available for staff!

My eldest came to Honeytree for 3 and a half years and loved it! The continuity of staff was reassuring and she thrived there. My youngest now goes and she also really enjoys it, pre school room has been made into a lovely environment for her and the others to learn and play.

We have recommended Honeytree to friends and family whose children are also happy there.

My boy has been coming here for over a year and has come on leaps and bounds. He has so much fun and loves being able to go outside so easily and play with all the fun stuff out there.

The nursery is always looking for ways to improve and offer more for the kids and security.

I wish they would consider stepped fees for different ages.

I would also like to see a bit more food in their tummies in the afternoon.

My 2 year old boy has been attending Honeytree Nursery for just over a year and he loves it. The staff are really friendly and approachable and all staff know my child and will always be welcoming. Learning is good and done at each child's pace. My boy's social skills, numeracy and language have advanced greatly since attending Honeytree. The feedback and particularly the children's learning journey's are excellent.

Meet the Team (1)

Lorraine Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2024
Lorraine

Hello, my name is Lorraine Doyle and I joined Storal in 2024. My journey as an Early Years Manager here has been incredibly rewarding, filled with opportunities to grow both professionally and personally. From the moment I arrived, my focus has been on creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child feels safe, valued, and inspired to learn.

I’m really proud of how I’ve been able to strengthen our educational provision by embedding Storal’s fantastic curriculum into our daily practice. I’ve worked closely with the team to refresh our planning and observation systems, making sure everything we do is child-led and tailored to each child’s individual interests and developmental needs. It’s such a privilege to watch the children flourish and see the positive impact of our work every day.

Supporting and developing my team is something I care deeply about. I love helping practitioners build their confidence and seeing them feel proud of the progress their children make. There’s nothing better than witnessing those special moments between staff and children when learning truly comes to life.

I’m also passionate about building strong relationships with our families and creating a real sense of community within our setting. Whether it’s through family events, stay-and-play sessions, or community projects, it’s wonderful to see families connect and feel part of our nursery family.

Over the years, I’ve gained a variety of qualifications that have shaped my approach to early years education, including a BA (Hons) in Education and Professional Practice, a Foundation Degree in Early Years, a Diploma in Montessori, Forest School Level 3, HR Level 3, and SENCO Level 3.

For me, early childhood is one of the most important and precious stages of life. I’m passionate about making sure every child, whatever their background or ability, gets the very best start in a setting where they feel happy, safe, and supported to be themselves. I feel incredibly lucky to be part of that journey.
