  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 10 Reviews over all time. This Average Rating is also the rating value for Busy Bees at Great Yarmouth in Google's Search Results - more info

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.0 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 12 months.

Detailed Breakdown

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Day Nursery / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Day Nursery receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 4.866 for Busy Bees at Great Yarmouth is calculated as follows: ( (103 Excellents x 5) + (16 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 119 Ratings = 4.866

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this Day Nursery to friends and family?'

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.

    2. 1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

    3. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

The 4.032 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees at Great Yarmouth is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 12 months and is calculated as follows:

    1. 3 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 = 3.75

    2. Target of 14.2 positive Reviews (71 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 4 Reviews ÷ 14.2 Target = 0.282

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

Our little girl started at Busy Bees Great Yarmouth in January 2018. She was only 9 months old and we were really worried about leaving her so young for three days a week, especially when the settling in sessions went so badly. I had considered not going back to work as she was extremely upset every time I left her. The staff at Busy Bees were amazing, they supported me and helped me feel reassured that our little girl would be fine. Working together with her key worker and a few other members of staff, our little girl soon settled into her new routine. Within a month's time, she was loving every minute of nursery. All the staff are so friendly, caring and truly love being with the children that I have no worries when I leave our little girl in the mornings and I know she has had a good time when I pick her up in the evenings. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a local nursery.

My daughter loves attending nursery and we have seen big leaps in her development in just a few months. The staff are lovely - very friendly as well as professional, and I really feel like they know my daughter and how she is progressing. Daily comments on how she has been getting on are provided verbally and in writing by the staff members caring for her.

The children are provided with a range of learning opportunities, from painting to cooking, and there are a good variety of toys and activities for them to engage in to aid their development, including a recently remodelled outdoor play area complete with play tunnel, mud kitchen and ride-on toys.

All meals are prepared on site and the menus are planned to ensure they are nutritionally balanced and also include seasonal produce, as well as a variety of tastes and textures. If you have to drop your child in early in the morning (as we do) breakfast is available and healthy snacks are also provided in addition to lunch and dinner.

My son loves coming to nursery as he gets to play and interact alongside/with other children his age. He has bonded well with his keyperson and a relationship with the other staff in the baby rooms.

My son has been going to Busy Bees at Great Yarmouth (based at the James Paget hospital) since July 2016. He attends two days a week and started when he was just over one, he is now nearly three years old.

I highly recommend this nursery, the staff are kind, caring and enthusiastic. It is a small enough nursery for the staff to get to know your child by name and they warmly welcome him each time he arrives.

The feedback you receive about your child's progress is wonderful and despite my initial nervousness at leaving my son at nursery, I think it has helped him developmentally and given him different types of experiences to those he gets at home with me. It helps that each child is assigned a key worker, who the child develops a trusting relationship with and takes a keen interest in your child's interests.

The food provided is freshly prepared onsite daily, which was important to me.

A brilliant professional nursery, very highly recommended.

My 5-month-old started going to Busy Bees in February. We were extremely anxious about leaving her so young. We needn't have worried. The staff at Busy Bees are so lovely and our little girl absolutely loves them all. She has come on with her sitting and 'talking' in leaps and bounds in the months she has been going. The facilities are excellent too - with everything a baby could want to play/explore. We are now weaning our daughter and the chef at Busy Bees will make up a special dinner for her. GREAT staff, GREAT service - excellent place.

My 2-year-old son currently attends Busy Bees and has done since October 2015 and my older son attended for 3 years prior to this. They both have loved their time in the nursery and have gained so much from it, they are confident, happy boys. The staff are all friendly, separated and helpful and professional. The age separated and staff cater to the children's needs within their rooms, key person system ensures your children are well cared for by people that know them well and us as parents.
Busy bees monitor my boy's educational progress carefully and we get regular updates on his achievements as well as opportunities to meet with the key person at parents evening! The freshly prepared meals on the busy bees menu are healthy and nutritional meaning as busy working parents we have one less thing to worry about.
Generally, Busy Bees provide good quality childcare all round!

My second child attends Busy Bees currently and he loves it. It is an amazing nursery, with two children having used it, both our children and my husband and I love it. The staff are caring, supportive and whole heartedly have my children's best interests. Both children enjoy going there and enjoy the activities they do. They have both loved the scrummy food they are served and all the opportunities they have there.

All 4 of our children have attended Busy Bees Great Yarmouth and we can not recommend the nursery highly enough. The level of care we have received for all of our children over the past 10 years has been outstanding, we would have never considered anywhere else. The nursery staff were like extended family and we are so sad that our youngest is now leaving the nursery to go to school. We would not hesitate to recommend the nursery to anyone.

I have three children and all three have regularly attended Busy Bees at Great Yarmouth nursery. I have always been delighted with the high level of care, friendly staff and nurturing approach towards the children provided by the nursery. The nursery is well resourced and each room provides appropriate equipment for the relevant age group. I like the fact there are five different rooms and all have access to the outdoors. The staff are extremely caring and they work together to look after all the children. The nursery is particularly good at encouraging the children to build friendships and establish good routines for social situations such as mealtimes and snack times. Two of my children have required special diets and one of them has needed medication to be given during the day. The nursery have catered for my children's' needs extremely well and the chef has provided dairy free menus. The nursery is very flexible in their opening times. Communication with parents, on a daily basis, is brilliant.
