I absolutely cannot fault this nursery in any way whatsoever. This is my second child I have put into Chapelfield Children's Day Nursery and I would not want my children in any other nursery, the experience we have had has been brilliant with both children.
Every single member of the team is incredible,
very supportive and makes you feel like family.
The nursery itself is extremely clean, organised and the activities are very well thought out. The team members are so brilliant with the children, they are full of energy and cheer and (pre-Covid) take time to get to know children across the nursery setting too.
The outdoor space is also amazing and they use it a lot which is brilliant, the resources both inside and out are excellent.
The food is another great asset to the nursery, a varied menu of healthy meals and snacks and they cater to any dietary requests too.

We are delighted with our decision to join the Chapelfield Children's Day Nursery family. Both our boys have thrived here, they are beautifully cared for and supported to reach their developmental milestones. They have so much fun, enjoying such a range of carefully thought through activities. Every
single member of staff has been consistently welcoming to us and it's been encouraging that we have been able to have the same key worker for each child, so the same young lady who took care of our first child in the baby room, was also key worker for our second baby and it's been possible again with a wonderful member of staff in Rainbow Room. Communication, in both sharing regular updates about what the boys have been doing and also by providing clear information in all areas. Fantastic place and people.

My son has been at Chapelfield Children's Day Nursery since he was 9 months old and we were delighted to secure a space based on friends' recommendations. Leaving your baby (as he was then) in the care of someone else is always nerve wracking (especially for an anxious first time mum), but the team
at Chapelfield couldn’t have done more to make it easy and seamless from day one. From settling in sessions, meeting your key points of contact, first day calls and pictures (insanely adorable), support with dietary requirements, support with the rollercoaster that is parenthood - they support you every single step of the way. It literally becomes a home from home and the relationships our son has forged are truly lovely. You’re always kept updated and the app allows you to share from home stories which are then incorporated into nursery life too. I never have to worry or wonder if he is ok, as I know that the team have his best interests at heart and look after him with cuddles and care. Wonderful setting and team.

An amazing nursery that always goes the extra mile.
My daughter joined Chapelfield Children's Day Nursery in the middle of the pandemic, the way the staff have welcomed her and made adaptations to the settling in process to keep us all safe while ensuring she felt settled and welcomed has been brilliant.
From
making birthday and valentines cards to send home, to being creative with snow play, the staff all work hard to create exciting learning opportunities.
My daughter is always happy to go into nursery and selecting Chapelfield for her care has been one of the best decisions I have made.

Chapelfield Nursery is a truly wonderful and exceptional nursery. The staff are amazing and my daughter is very well cared for. She is learning and developing every day in a safe and friendly environment. I could not be happier and it has made the challenges of going back to work so much easier knowing
that she is so happy too.

Chapelfield is a genuinely outstanding nursery. Both of our children have been attending this setting since they were 9 months old and it’s been amazing to watch them develop and grow in the care of the staff at Chapelfield. From the varied and nutritious menu to the thought put into creating educational
opportunities tailored for specific children, everyone at Chapelfield goes above and beyond to look after their children to the highest possible standard.
We really can’t rate this nursery highly enough.

Our little girl started at Chapelfield Children's Day Nursery at the age of 9 months and stayed until starting school aged 4. We couldn't believe how quickly she settled and how much she loved each and every stage of her time at the nursery. The level of care is exceptional and all the staff are wholly
committed to ensuring that the children thrive. They establish a real bond and the children feel very loved and accepted just as they are. They work incredibly hard to make the nursery a home from home for the children and, as a parent, you receive lots of feedback regarding your child's activities and how they are interacting with others. The home-cooked food and snacks provided are also really good. We couldn't recommend Chapelfield more highly!
Reply from Emmy Byrne at Chapelfield Children's Day NurseryThank you Cathryn for your kind words. You have equally been a lovely family to work with.

Chapelfield Nursery is a very special setting located in the centre of Norwich. My second child has progressed through the nursery and has grown into a strong, independent character thanks to the outstanding care, learning and development that the staff team provide. Everything about the place is fantastic.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.979) out of 10 for Chapelfield Children's Day Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 43 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 43 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.979 for Chapelfield Children's Day Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (505 Excellents x 5) + (11 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 516 Ratings = 4.979
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Chapelfield Children's Day Nursery is based on 43 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 48 number of registered child places is 9.6, which has been reached with 43 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
