Chapelfield Children's Day Nursery

I attended this nursery myself in the early 1990’s and now my two children attend. Over a 30 period Chapelfield has maintained a fantastic standard of care and support for children and their families. My children jump into the car on nursery mornings, excited to discuss their weekend with their key worker. They leave the nursery with big smiles on their faces. And, throughout 2020, the nursery has remained open, providing an essential degree of ‘normal’ during such a difficult time. I would recommend Chapelfield to any parent looking for a top quality nursery for their children.

My son has been and the nursery since he was 8 months old. During that time the relationships established between him and his key workers have been excellent and he has been taken care of brilliantly. The staff show lots of empathy to the needs of the child yet also encourages them in a supportive way to overcome any obstacle that might happen. Communication between us and the nursery has always been clear and given promptly. At the end of each day, we are given a review of what our child has been up to and this includes a great balance of free play, arts and crafts, learning letters and numbers, and physical activity. The food provided to the children is tasty and nutritious, such that we have asked for some of the recipes to do at home. The management are well organised and have an excellent understanding of the needs of their staff and children, which has allowed them to make well-informed decisions to the benefit of all involved, especially the children.

An excellent setting for my two children, so well cared for. They always have such fun, and can’t wait to get back. Their development has been incredible and I am amazed at the learning. I would highly recommend it!

A home away from home! My little girl has been attending the nursery since she was 11 months old. The transition of starting at the nursery was faultless, everyone at the nursery understands how big of a step this is, and they are so supportive and they are there to reassure along the way. I didn’t have to worry as my little girl loves her time there. The level of care continues throughout your time there, including room moves. Every single person who works at the nursery is simply outstanding. They are so caring, loving, and they feel like extended family. The care my daughter receives is heartwarming, you can see how much the staff care. I’m kept updated with her days on the app, and love hearing about the fun she had at feedback at the end of the day. They are constantly doing activities that are always varied, for learning, for fun, and to build their confidence. They have fun in and outdoors, with lots of fun things to do in the garden. The best nursery in Norwich!

My daughter has been attending this nursery since she was 9 months old. After a maternity leave spent mostly in lockdown, I was worried how she would transition but she has thrived since being there. She clearly adores the staff and I can see each week how much she develops thanks to the activities and time spent with her. All the staff are so lovely to deal with and have done an incredible job to keep the children safe during such uncertain times. I visited quite a few different nurseries when making my final decision (all of which have fantastic reputations), and I would urge people to do the same because it made it crystal clear that Chapelfield Children's Day Nursery is a level above all of them.

My daughter is always happy to go into nursery and selecting Chapelfield for her care has been one of the best decisions I have made.

My son has been at Chapelfield Children's Day Nursery since he was 9 months old and we were delighted to secure a space based on friends' recommendations. Leaving your baby (as he was then) in the care of someone else is always nerve wracking (especially for an anxious first time mum), but the team at Chapelfield couldn’t have done more to make it easy and seamless from day one. From settling in sessions, meeting your key points of contact, first day calls and pictures (insanely adorable), support with dietary requirements, support with the rollercoaster that is parenthood - they support you every single step of the way. It literally becomes a home from home and the relationships our son has forged are truly lovely. You’re always kept updated and the app allows you to share from home stories which are then incorporated into nursery life too. I never have to worry or wonder if he is ok, as I know that the team have his best interests at heart and look after him with cuddles and care. Wonderful setting and team.

We are delighted with our decision to join the Chapelfield Children's Day Nursery family. Both our boys have thrived here, they are beautifully cared for and supported to reach their developmental milestones. They have so much fun, enjoying such a range of carefully thought through activities. Every single member of staff has been consistently welcoming to us and it's been encouraging that we have been able to have the same key worker for each child, so the same young lady who took care of our first child in the baby room, was also key worker for our second baby and it's been possible again with a wonderful member of staff in Rainbow Room. Communication, in both sharing regular updates about what the boys have been doing and also by providing clear information in all areas. Fantastic place and people.

The food is another great asset to the nursery, a varied menu of healthy meals and snacks and they cater to any dietary requests too.

Incredible nursery. Daughter went from 9-months till 4-years, full time. Amazing, caring, loving, fun new workers, great management, great team, great atmosphere. Brilliant place for little people to thrive.

Chapelfield Nursery is a truly wonderful and exceptional nursery. The staff are amazing and my daughter is very well cared for. She is learning and developing every day in a safe and friendly environment. I could not be happier and it has made the challenges of going back to work so much easier knowing that she is so happy too.

Our little girl started at Chapelfield Children's Day Nursery at the age of 9 months and stayed until starting school aged 4. We couldn't believe how quickly she settled and how much she loved each and every stage of her time at the nursery. The level of care is exceptional and all the staff are wholly committed to ensuring that the children thrive. They establish a real bond and the children feel very loved and accepted just as they are. They work incredibly hard to make the nursery a home from home for the children and, as a parent, you receive lots of feedback regarding your child's activities and how they are interacting with others. The home-cooked food and snacks provided are also really good. We couldn't recommend Chapelfield more highly!

Chapelfield Nursery is a very special setting located in the centre of Norwich. My second child has progressed through the nursery and has grown into a strong, independent character thanks to the outstanding care, learning and development that the staff team provide. Everything about the place is fantastic.
