Stars Pre-School Dogsthorpe is open 08:30-15:30 Monday to Friday (term time only).

The nursery offers a 10 per cent discount for siblings and provides government-funded sessions from 9 months old through to 4 year olds.

Stars Pre-School Dogsthorpe has a nature garden where the children can grow vegetables and herbs, go for bug hunts, create pretend campfires and mix different materials such as mud, sand and bark in the mud kitchen.

Each child has a key person they will build a strong relationship with the child, parents and families from enrolment through to the transition to school. The key worker will also offer individual observation, planning and assessment in line with the early years foundation stage curriculum (EYFS).

Parents will need to supply children with a packed lunch, however, snacks are provided in the mornings and afternoons.

This nursery has a great bunch of staff who go out of their way to make the children welcome and they always seem to put in great efforts into their development. They are always asking questions about what is happening with regards to their behaviour's at home to better up-stand the needs of the child
in the nursery. A great team and my boy looks forward every day to coming back and seeing the team.

My baby is two years old and just started the nursery. I am very happy with all the staff, who are all very friendly, patient, always there to help make my baby comfortable and happy. My baby just loves to go! Highly recommended.

This nursery and the staff who work there are amazing! I can leave my child there knowing he will be happy, content, and very well looked after. My daughter absolutely loves her playgroup. She is in a safe secure environment, where she is encouraged to learn and grow every day. Her confidence has come on in leaps and bounds since starting in September 2020. Each day at pick up, her key worker comes and lets me know how she's done for the day
and mentions any issues. It's a nice friendly place that I know my daughter feels safe and supported in.

All staff are so good with my daughter and help her settle and make her feel comfortable; she enjoys coming to preschool every day and misses it during the holidays! My daughter loves the garden and getting messy making mud pies.

My daughter has attended Stars Nursery since she was 3 and has really loved her time there. She enjoys going every day and gets upset when she can’t go (weekends/half term etc).
I would 100% recommend this nursery to anyone.

My son enjoys going to school and likes it there. I feel comfortable leaving my son there as they have a system where they let you know what your child been up to so you do not have to worry about your child.

I have worked in the childcare sector for over 20 years - 12 years of this being with Stars Day Nurseries.
I have a level 4 in childcare and a level 4 in Management.
I have completed extensive SEN and portage training.
I am Manager of Stars Pre-School Welland and Stars Pre-School Dogsthorpe. I run my settings with passion and commitment ensuring my staff's well-being is paramount and provide them with training opportunities to develop themselves to help the children.
The children have a safe environment with enriching activities which challenge and stimulate their development, providing fun around their interests.
