Stars Pre-School Dogsthorpe is open 08:30-15:30 Monday to Friday (term time only).

The nursery offers a 10 per cent discount for siblings and provides government-funded sessions from 9 months old through to 4 year olds.

Stars Pre-School Dogsthorpe has a nature garden where the children can grow vegetables and herbs, go for bug hunts, create pretend campfires and mix different materials such as mud, sand and bark in the mud kitchen.

Each child has a key person they will build a strong relationship with the child, parents and families from enrolment through to the transition to school. The key worker will also offer individual observation, planning and assessment in line with the early years foundation stage curriculum (EYFS).

Parents will need to supply children with a packed lunch, however, snacks are provided in the mornings and afternoons.

The staff members are very friendly and welcoming. My little girl absolutely loves it and she's really happy wanting to go to Stars. I feel like she's learned so much by being at preschool. Thank you to all the staff members at Stars.

My daughter loves going to Stars. She had never been to any other childcare setting before this nursery so I was worried she wouldn’t settle well but the staff were great and so welcoming especially her key worker. I like that I get updates on her day and how she has been at the end of the session and
that the kids have access to both outside and inside play. The setting has really helped her social skills and are now helping with getting her ready for school.

Whatever I can say is a bit, amazing facilities with lots of activities for our children, clean environment! The whole team of Stars Pre-School is very kind and I am very happy that they loved their work so much and are close to all the children!

The members of staff are great with my daughter, they always give a warm welcome and always give me feedback at the end of the session she is in for. They always keep the parents updated about events, such as upcoming pictures etc. The staff encourage my daughter to speak more and try new things. I
wouldn’t choose any other nursery.

I am the happiest on earth that I chose this nursery for my kids, they absolutely love the place and all the staff are just so lovely, so caring, I haven't seen so caring staff anywhere else. Both my kids settled in really quick there as there is a so loving atmosphere every day, I can see huge changes
in my kids and it melts my heart and is all because of amazing staff.

Dogsthorpe Stars Pre-School is just amazing. The staff are very friendly and supportive. I love how informative they are about my girl every day. My daughter is very close with her key person. Couldn't thank the girls at Stars Dogsthorpe enough. My little boy absolutely loves going and has really warmed up to them all. Especially one lady; he couldn't go through a day without her. She's been amazing with him, and he really does enjoy spending his days with her!

I have twins at this nursery and they settled in quite quickly. It was a shame to lose the old manager, but we gained a new manager, whom I have a meeting with over snack time, which was resolved with a plan of action. One of my twins has one leader and the other has another leader, and they are both
great with the girls. They enhance areas that need work, and again, a plan to improve; I have lots of debates in my house, with who's leader is better than who's. Overall, I have no issues.

My son is autistic and nonverbal. When he started, my son didn't really have much of an understanding, but now he is very understanding and learning to communicate. I was very nervous about leaving my son until I met one particular lady, honestly one of the most amazing and caring people I've met. She
gave me a sense of security with my son; not only is he smashing it now, but he also has an amazing bond with her, and when I tell him we're going to nursery, he gets very excited to see her; he adores her, which to me, means everything.

I brought my daughter (3) here with the intention of coming a few times a week just to boost her social confidence. Turns out she comes five days now as she just loves it. Couldn't be more grateful to the staff that work here who bring out her little personality that you would normally see just at home.
You can see the improvements, and you can tell she's just had a fun day. Would definitely recommend this nursery.

Before my son started the nursery, he never spoke or communicated in any way, and I was getting worried. After being there 3-months, he was coming home and communicating with sign language and saying little words to us, I was so happy. Stars day nursery has been excellent with him and has even helped
with the potty training. Thank you, guys! He now tries to communicate more and is saying more, but is sometimes hard to understand, and he gets frustrated with himself. The nursery has been amazing with this, and they picked up on it very quickly and have done a referral to a speaking and language therapist, he has been accepted, and they will be contacting me soon with a date to start his therapy. He has started to let us know when he needs the toilet, which is amazing. He has come a long way since starting last September, but there are some little habits of his that we need to work on and get him out of, which is proving difficult!
Overall, we are very happy!

My little one has been coming to Stars Pre-School since mid-January after numerous problems I encountered trying to get him a place within another setting. I found Stars, and they couldn't have been more supportive and understanding of our situation. My son was a lockdown baby and has always been with
myself so it was very distressing for myself and him for the first few weeks when having to part. The whole team have been fantastic, and now he is thriving under the care of the stars team. Thanks so much. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy nursery.

Well, what can I say!
When my little girl was due to start preschool, I was looking for a school that would support her needs as she has Down syndrome so she has a developmental delay. She settled really well with all staff, and I feel they go beyond expectations. They treat her like no other, and
she’s so happy to wave me goodbye (she sees them as her little family). I have always felt like her development, speech and lots of other things have come along nicely. I appreciate everything they do for us and our little girl. Keep up the good work. Want a good preschool for your little people, please give them a ring!

My son has been attending this nursery for over a year now, and since he started, I’ve seen him progress so much. Experienced and friendly staff. My son loves it here, they provide lots of different activities for him. He has come on so much since being here with his speech, building relationships with his peers and how to handle his emotions. Everything they do is all geared up to his educational needs for the
future. It is very well run and organised. We have a great relationship with all the staff, they all genuinely care.

I have worked in the childcare sector for over 20 years - 12 years of this being with Stars Day Nurseries.
I have a level 4 in childcare and a level 4 in Management.
I have completed extensive SEN and portage training.
I am Manager of Stars Pre-School Welland and Stars Pre-School Dogsthorpe. I run my settings with passion and commitment ensuring my staff's well-being is paramount and provide them with training opportunities to develop themselves to help the children.
The children have a safe environment with enriching activities which challenge and stimulate their development, providing fun around their interests.
