Clarence House Godmanchester Nursery Reviews (40)
Over all time Clarence House Godmanchester Nursery has 40 reviews.
Absolutely everything you would expect and that little bit more. Great staff and environment, he always comes home happy and can’t wait to go back.
The staff are always fantastic and go above and beyond, they communicate brilliantly with the children’s family always keep us well updated and informed. Our daughter always comes home with so much to say about her day, all the fun things she has done and always speaks highly of the staff.
Myself and my daughter's father always receive comments saying how advanced she is, we believe the team at Clarence House has really helped with her development!
We definitely recommend this nursery!
My daughter has attended this setting since she was 9 months old, she is now coming up 3 years of age.
She is very happy at Clarence House the staff are very welcoming. She thoroughly enjoys her time at nursery and it’s reassuring to know that my daughter is happy and looked after whilst in their care.
Overall the nursery is great; my 2 children enjoy it on the whole. Staff are friendly and approachable and seem to enjoy their jobs. The activities offered are varied and enjoyable and the children spend a lot of time outside which my daughter in particular enjoys.
The menu is balanced and nutritious - I am happy with that and my kids always eat well! It can be a bit chaotic at drop-off/pick-up times, sometimes tricky to relay messages between staff.
My one complaint would be that payments are difficult as they're not split evenly across 12 months meaning a standing order can't be set up - this is something that management changed recently and was not for the better! This obviously has no impact on the kids though!
All the carers my boys had/have at the nursery have been amazing. My eldest was there between 2012 and 2014. He needed special care and the nursery accommodated all his care plan. Now my youngest is with the nursery and he comes home a happy child every day. My husband and I couldn’t ask for more.
Absolutely love this nursery. All of the staff have been so lovely and welcoming. My daughter says their names at home and gets excited about going to see the staff and her little friends. Really fab nursery, so happy that they are looking after my daughter. Would highly recommend! Thank you!
A local nursery where routines are kept and a very friendly environment. Feedback is given daily. New procedures that we were notified of, have not been put into place. Improvements can be made in different areas including the below.
Brilliant Nursery, staff are wonderful, activities are great, times are ideal for me, lovely atmosphere and facilities, we definitely chose the right place. I'm a very 'child lead' sort of parent which the nursery fully supports, so I don't have to worry that she can or can't do certain things at certain times, they do what she needs when she needs it, (obviously within reason). Can't fault Clarence House, fully recommend!
Fantastic nursery. Every member of staff is lovely and my son loves it there. The staff always put the childrens needs first. Very easy to approach and discuss your child and talk about the progress they are making. The lunch menu is fantastic.
My daughter has been attending Clarence House since September 2016 and absolutely loves it. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. I recommend Clarence House to all my 'Mummy friends' and even neighbours!
It has a very homely feel which makes you feel comfortable and the team are very welcoming.
The team have helped our child settle into nursery well and I am confident of the level of care provided whilst I am at work. They are very proactive in aiding development whilst ensuring the children have fun.
We are regularly updated on our child's progress and daily activities.
Definitely recommend!
My daughter has been attending Clarence House Nursery for fifteen months now and has thoroughly enjoyed her time there. The staff are all wonderful and we have been very impressed with the level of care they have provided. They offer a lot of different activities for the children and we have noticed a tremendous improvement in our daughters speech, communication and socialising skills. The Tapestry system is a great way for us parents to be kept up to date with their progress along with regular photos to see what they get up to.
Clarence House in Godmanchester has provided childcare for both of my children from very young babies. My daughter spent 4 happy years attending the nursery. As a first time mum I was anxious to leave my daughter in the care of others. I soon felt at ease after meeting the staff and attending the settling in sessions. The nursery has a welcoming warm feeling and the building itself is homely. I felt guilty going back to work but as time passed I could see how much she had benefitted from the time spent there e.g. her clear speech, good understanding of colours, numbers and shapes and her confidence in building relationships with children and adults. My son started nursery as a baby, soon after daughter went to school. I go to work and feel relaxed as I know he is well cared for. The nursery is always clean and welcoming, with lots of interesting displays and toys. My son enjoys going to nursery and also enjoys the activities they provide each day. I am pleased that most of the messy play takes place at the nursery! Although it gives me some fun ideas to do at home. I would highly recommend Clarence House in Godmanchester. The opening times are ideal and make working full time much more flexible for me. My son looks forward to nursery everyday and my daughter loves popping in to say hello to some of the staff that cared for her a few years ago now.
We're very happy with the care that my child gets at nursery and he is always very happy to be dropped off at nursery. The staff are friendly and attentive. If I've had any concerns of anything listed below we would address it.
Re: cleanliness, occasionally has a bad odour when you walk into the nursery, maybe a few plug-ins/air fresheners around. Although I understand due to lots of little children eating and starting toilet training etc. That's the only negative I have regarding the nursery itself. I feel there should also be 6/12 monthly meetings to hear of our child's development etc. Parents evening type meeting? Overall a GREAT nursery.
My son has settled in very well, is very happy and loves his teachers. The girls working there are kind and loving to my son and give me great feedback to how he is getting on.
My little boy loves going to nursery. Any negative comments I have are not due to the staff. My main issue is that I feel the building could do with a bit of tlc. It looks tired, its clean but due to the condition of the building it doesn't always look it. There are a lot of children in such a small building, sometimes it feels cramped. The staff are brilliant who look after the children. I have massive respect for them. I just feel if the facilities were better they could be even more amazing.
Since my daughter has been at the nursery since she was 5 months I have been so impressed by the nursery and its staff. She thoroughly enjoys it and I am always fully kept up to date on her progress . They cater well for different children needs and allow the children to also be evolved as much as possible if their own care. For giving them responsibility of choosing their own breakfast, making their lunch. The activities and themes they have are always fun and stimulating for my daughter. All the room leaders my daughter has had through babies, Toddlers and Little risers have been fabulous. Giving her that personnel attention. Also all the staff who have been in each room have been great. The managers for me have always been very accommodating and as with the room leaders have given that personnel approach. The only thing I would say about the nursery is it is a shame they done have more open space or at least some grass or plant area.
Both my grandchildren have/are attending Clarence House Day nursery and pre-school. I am very happy with the quality of service provided in all aspects of it. The staff is fantastic, the food menus are very appealing and the management approachable, helpful and understanding. I have recommended the Nursery to some friends and I will whenever anybody is looking for a child care provider.
The nursery is a friendly and welcoming place, where my son feels happy and secure. The staff are always polite, helpful and professional. They encourage a wide range of play scenarios and the children are regularly involved in activities such as cooking and craft. I am more than happy with the care my little boy receives and would definitely recommend this institution to others.
