At pick up she will often shake her head no and will crawl to the staff as she is not ready to come home, away from all the great fun she is having. Since being at nursery she has learnt so much.
The staff are very caring and take the time to get to know each individual child and their needs and backgrounds. We get regular photos and updates on the app as well as daily updates with their care dairies.
We love Clarence House and would recommend them to everyone.
Very professional. Human and caring. Excellent communication. Brilliant liaison with childcare and specialist children's development and healthcare services. Our son always comes back happy and sleepy (thank you) and really looks forwards to going. Highly recommended.
My son started at the nursery in September and with a lot of change at home going on at the time. The staff were all amazing with him helping him settle into nursery and encouraging him to make friends. He fully enjoys nursery and tells me all about his day with a smile on his face. We're kept fully informed about his day on pickup and the communication with emails of what's going on at the setting is very consistent.
Clarence House day nursery is a trustworthy nursery. They are taking good care of my child. I never experienced any kind of difficulty dealing with the nursery staff. The key person of the child would update you about your child's activity and about their food in intake daily. The girls/staff there are really good and my child likes his key person. They often conduct parent-key person meetings which I find is useful to track my child's behaviour/ development etc outside home. I would surely recommend this nursery.
My daughter attends Clarence House day nursery two days a week. We struggled to settle her into other nursery settings but the staff at Clarence House worked so well with her and now she loves to go. There are lots of activities going on daily at Clarence House and it's lovely to see the photos of what's going on. The handovers from the ladies working in the toddler room are always informative and give me a nice snapshot into my daughter's day. The improvement in our daughter's speech since she started Clarence House has been amazing.
I'm not great at writing reviews, but this nursery is amazing. It has a really homely feel and is like one big family. I feel like the staff really know and care for my daughter well and she loves it there. She claps her hands with excitement when she's leaving for nursery and she cries when she has to come home, which is slightly upsetting for me, but very reassuring at the same time. The manager is great and keeps us all in the loop with regular email updates. It's never too much trouble to respond to any query or awkward request I have. The girls that have looked after my daughter are all lovely as well. I feel completely at ease leaving her with them. They try to go outside in the garden at least once or twice a day and do lots of fun activities and crafts with the children, which help with their development. They give great feedback at the end of the day as well, which is always appreciated. I would recommend this nursery to anyone.
I'm blessed to have my boys at this nursery, the staff are very kind and friendly. My boys love their key people, they go every time with joy, they have good quality time and I'm very pleased and definitely recommend this nursery!
The staff always inform of how the day has been and are very friendly.
My child attends preschool group at Clarence House Nursery since September this year. She absolutely loves going there and that's the most important aspect for me. The staff are always happy to help.
Both our children attended the nursery over the last seven years and the setting and staff have been pivotal to the development of our children. Both have left the nursery full of confidence and knowledge well ahead of where they would expect to be when entering reception year. And this would not have been possible without the hard work and caring staff at Clarence House Day Nursery. The size and location of the setting were perfect for our children's needs and is very well run by the manager. We thank you all for the important part you have all played in helping our two daughters grow into the confident young ladies they have become.
Our youngest goes to this nursery four days a week like her brother did. She loves it there, bonded with the girls and has great fun playing with the other children but has also learnt a lot of skills. She is especially fond of the mud kitchen!
Our daughter went to the preschool group in the nursery the passing year. When she came she didn't speak English. The staff were caring, helpful and assuring. It wasn't long before she was going to nursery happy every morning, communicating and participating. We are very grateful for the staff, especially the preschool teachers for their attention and care. We feel lucky we have found this nursery and happily recommend it to others.
My son is super happy at Clarence House, he comes out smiling every day. At home he constantly talks about the staff and since joining the toddler room his speech has really developed. He also eats really well and enjoys all the outdoor time they offer. Communication from all the staff and management has been great. Couldn't ask for more!
I feel that my 1 year old son is well taken care of, engaged in a variety of activities, fed a reasonably diverse and healthy range of food which he likes and consistently eats, and spends lots of his day outdoors. What more do you want really?
My kid goes to the nursery and it's been six months. This is my kid's first nursery and the staff at the nursery helped him to settle down. I really love the care they are showing towards the kids. Activities they are making with kids are really to be appreciated. My kid also has improved his communication and really likes all the staff over there. Food wise is also very good. Staff are really taking care regarding the health of the kids also. Finally, I am really impressed with the nursery and the efforts they are making is also to be appreciated.
Excellent nursery. Staff are friendly and approachable with the parents and my kid adores them. Provide a wide range of food and activities. Give regular updates including pictures and videos of what your kid has been up to. Highly recommended
My son’s current nursery closed suddenly in Dec 2021 so I had to quickly find another setting to attend. Many nurseries took days/weeks to respond to my queries or had unrealistic conditions to meet to obtain the full benefit of 30 hour funding. Clarence House Nursery got back to me straight away and we were able to view the nursery with an hour's notice and start the enrolment process. The communication has remained brilliant - responses to emails are always prompt and handovers on pick up very informative. My son is always well cared for and really enjoys his 3 days a week at Clarence House and they do many varied activities, which they take lots of pictures and observations and upload them to tapestry regularly. Despite a Cambridge day nursery, their prices are very competitive, with good quality and varied food included in the price. The staff know the children and their individual needs well. I have and would recommend Clarence House to anybody looking for a nursery setting for their children.
Both of my girls have been in Clarence House Day Nursery (thanks to a friend who recommended the school to us before we even got to the UK). We have always loved their excellence of services and care. Recently, my daughter was unwell at school and the teachers cared so much for her, made sure she was okay and then rang to inform me. As a mother, it matters how she felt during that time. The lovely teachers kept telling her to get well soon and the other kids too. To me, it’s more than a nursery, Clarence House is family. Thanks to the manager and her team.
Best wishes,
CHDN.
The Clarence House completely removed our concern. The team has been absolutely fantastic! All the teachers are so great: they are all very gentle, cheerful, considerate and helpful. They helped both kids blend in and adjust to the new environment very quickly. They soon get to know and play with new friends. During our stay, we noticed that the teachers can come up with new activities all the time, and the kiddos very much enjoyed them! The older one came back home singing the songs she learned from the daycare. At our departure, the older one explicitly asked a couple of times if we can stay longer! Thank you so much! We will all miss you!
I have had children at Clarence House Day Nursery in Cambridge for the past six years. My oldest son was there from 9 months until the day he started school and my youngest is now in the baby room. The staff at Clarence House have always been really caring and attentive to the children. As with all nurseries, the staff have changed over the years but the management has always been stable and exemplary. I think it says volumes about the nursery that all managers in the past six years (of which there have only been three) have only left as they have been promoted within the organisation. Promotions that have been richly deserved. I would hand on heart recommend Clarence House to look after your children. They are also very flexible which I know isn't always the case with nurseries. We have no family nearby to help if one of us is ill or has a sudden work commitment change and the nursery have regularly got me out of a childcare hole over the years. Can you tell I love the nursery?
