The Nursery School Charlwood

They are brilliant. Communication is excellent, and all the staff are lovely and attentive. My son has thrived since starting and can't wait for his brother to join him!

We miss Charlwood Nursery, and it was very hard to leave - if we were to ever come back to the UK while my child is of nursery-age, this would be with no doubt the nursery we would choose.

Our child has been with The Nursery School since September 2023. All the staff care so deeply about him. They encourage him to learn with patience, comfort him when he is sad and bring him so much joy.

He loves them so much that every morning when he enters the Nursery, he does so with the biggest smile on his face. That's the telltale sign that he loves the place and the people in it.

Can't recommend them enough.

The facilities are great and the daily updates on the app are amazing and always up to date, we are simply happy that we have found this place for our children.

She is very keen to come again in October.

My little one has been coming here since 2023 and absolutely loves it. The staff are lovely and the settings outdoor areas are unparalleled. I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery to anyone who is considering sending their child to a nursery.

My child attends this nursery 5 days a week. We have been nothing but happy with the care, support and help with developing our child's speech and physical skills. They are all very friendly and nothing is ever a problem.

The house its self is beautiful exterior, with modern clean facilities throughout. The garden space is fantastic and really promotes independence and learning.

We feel lucky that there is a forest school attached and that my child gets to mix the most of that too.

For me personally they excel in everything they do. There has been times where my little one has been emotional with other children being picked up- and there is always a staff member supporting him.

We couldn't be happier with our experience! The caring and attentive staff have created a warm, nurturing environment where our 3-year-old thrives. The variety of activities keeps him constantly engaged and stimulated - from football on Fridays to arts and crafts and exciting events like visits from reptiles! We also love staying connected through the app, where updates and milestones are posted regularly. Thank you for all you do to make this crucial time meaningful for our little one!

Excellent nursery with outstanding facilities and care. My son has been there since he was 8 months old and is now nearly 2. The staff have brilliant bonds with the children in their care and do so much with them. They do activities every day and have lots of sensory play. They have a varied menu, three meals per day and snacks, as well as nappies and wipes being provided. My son genuinely looks forward to going in and I can go to work knowing he's happy and looked after. All of the staff including management are friendly and approachable.

I'm so impressed with the staff and setup at The Nursery School Charlwood. My child is obviously in a calm and nurturing environment. We get regular updates and any issues or messages are always dealt with in a professional and timely manner. Every day I go into the nursery, everyone always has smiles on their faces. The balance of activities my son does: creative, outdoor or social or from an outside agency are carefully planned and enjoyed. The meal choices are nutritious and fresh fruit is always available. He comes home so happy and fulfilled. I would highly recommend sending a child here.

Days out for the older children and lots of time in the garden which they love.

Our son started here in January. The nursery have been so welcoming and the staff are all lovely. He has been very unwell and missed a lot of nursery but they always check in and make sure he is ok. He is always welcomed back with a big smile and friendly face. He comes home really happy and has learnt a lot of new skills in a short space of time. The outside facilities are amazing. This nursery and the team have so much to offer. We are really happy with the decision we made to send our child here.

I can also recommend their holiday club which my daughter has attended and thoroughly enjoys.

I moved my 4-year-old daughter here after choosing to take her out of a different preschool. Charlwood House Day Nursery were so understanding of my concerns, having had so many issues with her previous preschool, and they really put me at ease. However, I need not have worried as my daughter settled immediately and told me she liked her new nursery and teachers more than her previous setting. Staff reported my daughter was so happy and confident and it was as if she had been there for months. I feel very relaxed and happy about leaving my child at Charlwood House as they take such good care of her. Staff are very warm, genuine and caring, but also extremely professional. My only regret is that I did not move my daughter to Charlwood House sooner as she is so happy there.

If I’ve ever had an issue, the nursery are there to answer any questions and support as much as they can. The staff are all lovely and so understanding. I cannot wait for our second to join also!

My son has been attending Charlwood House for a couple of years now and he has loved every minute. The staff are fantastic, friendly, caring and are always so understanding. My son has gone through a few changes in his home life and the staff have 110% been there for support and flexibility in his attendance. The setup and grounds of the nursery itself are lovely and secure and the cleanliness is superb. I would highly recommend this nursery to everyone, it is definitely worth a look around.

My little girl started Charlwood back in January. First time going to nursery and we had a constant battle getting her to go most days she would be in tears all morning before having to go in the afternoon, from the minute she woke, she constantly said no nursery today. The week before lockdown in March, we cracked this, and she went in happy without crying, then lockdown happened, she was off for 6-7 months before returning in September. We were so worried about her returning as we thought we would be back to square one again, but this was not the case, we now have a newly transformed child, who runs into nursery waving us goodbye and when we pick her up she loves telling us about her day and what she has done. We could not have done this without the amazing staff at Charlwood. They have been our absolute rocks with settling her and we cannot thank them enough for all they have done. Even during the lockdown, they sent our daughter videos, which I think really encouraged her to remember them.
