Our daughter has settled in really well after moving nursery settings, and very happy with the decision we made! Would highly recommend it if anyone is thinking of placing their child with Robins Nursery.
Our son has been at Robins Nest Day Nursery since he was 8-months old and every day I thank our lucky stars that we can call Robins Nest Day Nursery our son's nursery. Choosing a nursery was always going to be a hard task for us as we lost our firstborn so trusting people with our rainbow baby was always going to be full of emotions. We need not of worried because we only have praise and lovely experiences to share. Our son is so happy to go into nursery every day and I only ever get tears when I go to pick him up. He clearly likes it there too much. Before our son started he had a reaction to egg and I am so grateful to the chef and the whole team for how accommodating they have been with this. Our son never misses out on any part of meals as they just adapt things for him. Being a lockdown baby it was important for us to get our son socialising so nursery was important for that. He has made some lovely friends and it is thanks to those friends and the staff that he has come on so well in his learning.
Robins Nest has been a fantastic nursery for our daughter who is fourteen months. She has settled in really well thanks to the lovely staff and she absolutely loves it! The staff are fantastic and they always have fun events for the children to do whether it's baking, arts and crafts or playing outside. They also have a really healthy menu, with a great variety of meals, cooked by the on-site chef. I can't recommend Robins Nest enough!
Our older son will start school this year.
Both really enjoy going to nursery. They do lots of arts and crafts which they bring home and the staff spend quality time with each and every one of them to teach them new things. Every month they discover new themes from transport and what grows to new books.
Every year there's a nativity play - even during the pandemic they didn't cancel it, but made every effort to make it happen and recorded it for everyone to watch afterwards.
Last but not least, the food is outstanding: e.g. Thai Green Curry, dhal, lots of fruits and veg.
The whole team at Robins Nest are wonderful. My daughter has always loved coming to nursery and is always greeted with a big smile and enthusiasm. The communication is fantastic and we really enjoy looking at the pictures on tapestry of what she has been up to that week. She not only has an amazing bond with her key person but with all the grown-ups that look after her. As parents, we feel safe and comfortable dropping her off and that's all we can ask for. As my daughter has been getting ready to transition to big school we have been supported as a whole family and thank you to Robins Nest for all the love and care you have provided over the last 2.5 years. My daughter will miss you all so much and you have been a huge part of her growth and confidence. Thank you.
My son attended Robins Nest from the age of 11 months through to graduating before starting school this year! I can’t recommend the staff and the nursery enough, they are so dedicated to providing the children with a safe and fun environment. Nothing is ever a problem and my son had such a great time there. They prepared him for school brilliantly with lots of phonics and pre-school based activities. I liked that it wasn’t a huge nursery either so each child had plenty of attention and no problem with safeguarding.
My two children have attended this nursery since we moved into the area last year. They absolutely love it as do I. The staff are just wonderful - really warm and caring and I totally trust that they will look after both of my children when I leave them with them. Food is lovely and freshly cooked and always caters for my kids allergies perfectly. Can not fault this place and would highly recommend it to any parent.
Robin's Nest has been a fantastic place for my two-year-old son to develop and just enjoy being a child. It is small and unpretentious with friendly and professional staff. He has been attending since he was 11-months-old and really benefited from being part of a small baby group with dedicated carers who know my son's interests and particularities. I really appreciate that the nursery staff often use their judgment when my son displayed any signs of sickness and would be willing to monitor him rather than insist I pick him up immediately (present Covid-19 rules different of course). I am particularly happy with the food that they serve which is freshly cooked on-site and introduces my son to flavours and textures that I struggle to get him to try at home. The only downside is that there is not a large outdoor play area but the children always seem so happy with what they have that it probably doesn't matter to them!
The nursery workers are kind, caring and I know when my daughter is there, she is in good hands and she is surrounded by love.
The staff are friendly and helpful when I am addressing any questions.
I am always being updated of my daughter's development and that is reassuring.
My son has been at Robins Nest for over 2 years and loves it. From the baby room through to the pre-school area, it's been a wholly supportive, creative and caring environment. I can't recommend it highly enough. All the staff are really friendly, helpful and lovely people. The online resource to look at photos of what he's been up to and see the types of activities/things he's learning is great. My youngest will start in the baby room in a few months and I'm looking forward to seeing him enjoy Robins Nest and blossom as much as my eldest has.
This is my daughter's third nursery and I am really happy with it. She is quite shy and can be anxious around noise. She settled in so quickly and drop-offs are the easiest they have ever been. She is growing in confidence and is just really happy there. I can't ask for more.
Good communication between the key person and myself each day. Changes being made to improve the nursery regularly e.g new outside play area, new kitchen, new cook with new and different ideas.
Possibly more tapestry uploads but I know staff are busy and time constraints may not always allow.
Our girls started at Robins Nest this year after no nursery experience previously. They have settled brilliantly down in part to the caring and friendly staff. The small close-knit community has allowed the girls to make new friends quickly and it feels such a warm and pleasant environment whenever we visit. The small but wonderfully equipped gardens is a real positive. The girls love it.
Our daughter loves going to nursery every day and she always comes home with a smile. She has developed and learnt a lot in the 5 months that she has been attending the nursery. The staff are always so friendly and helpful.
The reality is we feel like we're leaving him with family.
The care and love he received at Robins Nest is second to none and they have worked closely with us to ensure his allergies are well managed and to ensure a smooth transition from the baby room to the playschool. His confidence and independence have grown in leaps and bounds and it has been a delight to see him develop under their watchful eye. We feel lucky to have found Robins Nest and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.
The staff themselves are brilliant and have really helped my boys settle into nursery life and boost their confidence. They have come along and learnt so much since they started nursery.
Robins Nest has been an amazing nursery for my son. He started at another nursery but he didn't settle, we brought him to Robins Nest and met the staff who are brilliant with my son. He has now settled into nursery and loves going. The nursery has been so supportive to us and my family when we were made homeless they helped us with finding the help we needed. They acted fast and they were a great help to my other children (I've got two older children also). They support you through each chapter. My son's key worker is wonderful and we think very fondly of him.
Our daughter has been going to Robins Nest since she was 10 months old, and has been through the Baby room and now in the Toddler room. The staff at Robins are fantastic, incredibly caring and very loving. They have also been a huge support for me and my husband. My daughter is a nervous soul and I have never seen her so happy and communicative as when she is there. It's always very clean, the menu is brilliant and she loves all the toys and activities. There isn't a huge garden space but it's recently been done up and to be honest, she doesn't need a huge space. I am so very glad and grateful my daughter goes to this nursery.
Our son has been attending Robins Nest for nearly two years now and we couldn't be happier with it. The staff are really dedicated and the nursery is fairly small, so it has a nice, friendly atmosphere and they all get to know the children well. We feel they really care about the children. They do lots of different activities with the children, who learn a lot, plus regular music activities and a yoga instructor! They also do some extracurricular activities like sports day and a Christmas party at which parents can get to know each other too. Our son has really blossomed here, from being very shy with other children to getting along well with them; often he now he says he wants to go "see his friends" in the morning and he's very attached to a number of the staff. The facilities have recently been refurbished, with a much improved outdoor area. The nursery have an online system on which they upload photos and detailed progress reports for each child (with the parent's consent).
My little one has blossomed since going to the nursery, increasing in confidence. The recent improvements in the building and equipment have given the nursery a fresh look. The nursery is always clean when I collect my child.
