As a qualified Nursery Nurse I had high expectations of where to leave my little one, but when she started at Snowdrop House in March 2020, I had no reason to worry!
The staff are all lovely and amazing with the little ones, and great with us as parents, especially when we have any concerns or feedback,
all of which is taken on board and acted upon where necessary. The daily books are always filled out, despite knowing how busy the girls must be each day, we always know what they’ve had to eat, when they slept and when nappies were changed.
The Tapestry system is great for seeing regular updates on how the little ones are doing, the activities they’ve enjoyed and the milestones they’re achieving at nursery. It’s also a useful platform for sharing helpful documents for parents and advice on how to help the little ones achieve their next steps.

We chose Snowdrop House after looking at a number of nurseries in the area. We are really impressed by the staff at the nursery and their care towards our child. The environment is bright and clean. We are given feedback on our child's daily activities and he is always happy to be there. We would certainly
recommend this nursery to others and frequently do.

Our 16 month old son has been at Snowdrop since January and we are very happy with the nursery and the wonderful staff.
He has settled in well, is happy at drop off and pick ups and we see great leaps in his development.
The staff are very friendly, helpful and it's obvious they care for all the
children. They keep us in touch about any health or development changes they notice and we feel confident our son has the best care and attention.
We are very happy choosing Snowdrop and recommend to all.

My daughter started here Jan 2020, after nearly 2 years at a different setting which had changed ownership and had fallen in its level of care. Snowdrop House Montessori Nursery has been amazing - my daughter is always happy to go in, even asks to go at the weekend! She has made lots of friends and
she often talks about the other children and staff members. I feel she has learnt a lot of social skills at the setting and has come on in her vocabulary. There are lots of tapestry updates and paints/pictures etc sent home which is lovely. I cannot thank Snowdrop House enough so far and I cannot rate highly enough as a premium childcare setting. The staff genuinely care and the facility is managed very efficiently.

We moved to Haywards Heath from London and even before the move the Management was already mighty helpful and supportive. For us to say they're fantastic is an understatement. The building has been fully refurbished and adapted for Nursery needs. It really has a wow factor. It's spacious and creates
a friendly environment. It even has indoor playground (very helpful in winter months). Also, outdoor space is generous. The Nursery is run by young, keen, experienced and enthusiastic Manager. Nursery has a wide range of interesting activities that help our boy grow and flourish. As parents, we get daily sheets with activities, meals as well as verbal handover. Staff is the biggest strength and every single one deserves recognition. Opening hours 7:30 to 18:00 help hugely as we're both working full time.
Signing up our son with Snowdrop Nursery has been the best move we have done for our child's well-being and development.
Thank you.
Reply from Julie Roberts at Snowdrop House Montessori NurseryThank you for your amazing comments. We spent a long time renovating the building and planning learning areas for the children to enjoy. I will pass your kind comments onto the Snowdrop team.

Current Review Score: 8.8 (8.796)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.8 (8.796) out of 10 for Snowdrop House Montessori Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.9 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.904 for Snowdrop House Montessori Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (76 Excellents x 5) + (6 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 83 Ratings = 4.904
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.892 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Snowdrop House Montessori Nursery is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 3.6
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 120 number of registered child places is 24. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 24 = 0.292
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
