We're really happy with Snowdrop House. The team are incredibly caring, attentive and genuinely supportive towards the children. It's clear they take the time to understand each child's individual needs and help them feel safe, confident and valued. Communication with parents is great, and we always
feel reassured knowing our child is in such a warm and nurturing environment. We've seen such positive development since starting, and we're very grateful for the care and dedication of the staff.

We cannot recommend Snowdrop House Nursery enough.

The team are so lovely and welcoming, and they have looked after both of our boys with such genuine care, teaching them so much along the way. From helping our eldest learn practical skills like using knives and forks to supporting him through potty

training, they've been incredible.

The children are socialised so well, and it's clear how much the staff nurture kindness and confidence. I can see how caring our son is with his friends, which is a real testament to the wonderful team keeping such a watchful, supportive eye on him.

Snowdrop House has given both of our boys a safe, happy, and enriching start - we're so grateful for everything they do.

Our child has attended Snowdrop House since September 2024 for 4 days a week and he absolutely loves it. The staff are wonderful and amazing and have built such a strong bond with our child. Their communication is great and they plan lots of amazing activities for the children. Our child has learnt
so much being at Snowdrop House and speaks very fondly of the staff. We're very happy with Snowdrop House and feel confident sending our child there.

My Daughter has been coming here for 10 months now and has loved every second. From joining Snowdrop as a baby to now being in their toddler classes, she has made some wonderful relationships with the staff and also the children. Their days are so varied and she learns lots being there each week. The
staff are kind, caring and attentive and nothing is ever to much trouble. You can really see how much the whole team care about all the children there and go above and beyond each day. They are regularly in contact with you and always greet the children with a warm welcome. We get regular updates about her journey with them and what they are up to. Really couldn't recommend enough, I feel very relaxed when she comes here knowing she is well cared for and enjoying her days.

They are very organised. Do many interesting activities with the children. They take photos of my grandchild enjoying the activities, and she is always happy and smiling. She has been there part-time for about three months and has settled in very well. We get a detailed itinerary of meals, sleep time,
nappy change, etc. Would definitely recommend Snowdrop House.

Very caring and attentive staff. Our children are well looked after, and our daughter has developed incredibly since joining a year ago. Our son has now started, and the staff bring the babies into the toddler room at the end of the day, which they love! The facilities are great, very clean and a vast
variety of educational and Montessori toys and activities for them. Thank you to the staff!

I had my older son attend since he was a year old, and he absolutely loved it there and was ‘school ready’ when he left for the reception. I never hesitated for my second son, who is now a year old to attend this same nursery, even if it meant I had to go in the opposite direction to where my older
son’s current school is. I am reassured how all the staff are very much hands-on in ensuring my child is safe, loved, well cared for and supported in his every milestone and early years learning.

Our little one started at Snowdrop a few weeks ago, and we are so happy and impressed with everything. The staff are wonderful, it is extremely well run, and our little one has settled in really quickly. We get updates throughout the day, and the activities are amazing (some of them we’ve tried to copy
at home).
We highly recommend Snowdrop and its excellent team.

Staff are fantastic, and everything seems good. From what we see in the pictures, he is having a great time. Can’t really tell you more as we are not there. There seems to be a good variety of stuff for them to do, and he comes home very happy.

Both of our children have attended nurseries in the Snowdrop House Montessori Group, covering five years. We could not be happier with the service provided and have been impressed throughout by the professional and caring manner of all staff and management.
The Snowdrop House setting is very large,
with several age-appropriate rooms for the children, a large garden and, even better - use of the adjoining community centre hall. This gives the children a large area in which to play and develop.
Parents are given in person daily and termly updates as to their child's progress and have access to an app for further information, updates and photos which is well used by staff.
Our daughter has always enjoyed attending nursery and speaks often about her day there when she is at home. Staff take account of her individual needs and interests and are notably well aware of her foibles! We never experience any objections at drop off. We highly recommend the Snowdrop House Montessori Group.

Snowdrop House (Primrose House site) has been a fantastic place for my daughter to develop. The staff are wonderful, welcoming and kind every morning, and she always walks in with a smile on her face. The regular individual and group updates are useful, so we always know what she has been up to - from
celebrating Lunar New Year to looking after an ant farm. The setting is small-ish, so it means the groups aren't massive, and my daughter can make strong relationships with staff and the other children. There is outside play space with a covered area for when wet or sunny. The food from catering company goes down well - is rarely hungry, and as always with these things eats far more vegetables and adventurous food at nursery!
Contrasting to another setting, my impression is she does few visits outside the nursery. This is only thing I'd have preferred to see more of.
Overall, my daughter has thrived here and developed great relationships with staff and the other children, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Our son loves Snowdrop House. He is so excited to go to nursery every day. The staff are professional and friendly. We get thorough reports every day of what he’s been up to, and staff give us a handover at the end of the day. There are so many activities available every day and the staff come up with
loads of new ones all the time. We feel very happy.

We’ve been a Snowdrop family for four years and now have two boys enrolled. We feel incredibly lucky to have found Snowdrop, as they have an incredible standard of care.
Communication from the nursery is excellent each day - from the online app to the handover conversations, we feel like we get a
great sense of what the boys are working on and how they are doing during the day.
The manager and her team genuinely care about the children - they know their names and interact with them, and my boys light up when they come into nursery each day (better yet if they run into one of the teachers in the grocery shop - it’s like they’ve seen a celebrity!).
The teachers take real care of the children, days are planned out meticulously, and I can see the growth in both children, especially as my older son prepares for school this year.
We absolutely love Snowdrop and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely nursery.

Current Review Score: 8.8 (8.796)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.8 (8.796) out of 10 for Snowdrop House Montessori Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.9 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.904 for Snowdrop House Montessori Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (76 Excellents x 5) + (6 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 83 Ratings = 4.904
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.892 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Snowdrop House Montessori Nursery is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 3.6
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 120 number of registered child places is 24. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 24 = 0.292
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
