  • Busy Bees Horsham, Horsham
Busy Bees Horsham has been purpose-built to be appropriate for the care and learning needs of babies and pre-school children. A large capacity of 124 places for children makes a significant contribution to parents in the local community, and makes the nursery ideal for children to develop their social skills while being able to get to know and understand others. The service is friendly and takes seriously any parental concerns, while considering each child's individual health and learning needs as an important part of its objectives. Disabled access is in place and the nursery's discovery room is particularly popular with children.

My daughter is happy and confident, well cared for and progressing really well at Busy Bees Horsham. We get excellent feedback and she's always doing something new and exciting. It would be great if they could get off-site more regularly but they are always in the garden. Sometimes the admin side hasn't
been perfect but the things that matter care, staff and engaging activities are great.

Staff are really friendly and my son loves all activities and garden play. I also like there are a lot of arts and crafts for children. My son loves his food and is happy with all freshly cooked meals and baking activities you plan for him. Thank you.

I have always found the nursery staff to be very warm and their commitment to providing a high standard of care is obvious. My toddler took a couple of months to settle in (as expected) and in the early days, I was very impressed by their confidence in reassuring both myself and my toddler when handing
him over in the morning. The iConnect app is useful in tracking his intake, output and sleeping patterns whilst at the nursery. Photos are uploaded on at least a monthly basis too. My only reservation in recommending the nursery relates to one aspect of the nursery's fee policy - all bank holidays are fully chargeable and we, therefore, pay several hundred pounds over the year to apparently support basic operations of the nursery when it is closed. Not all nurseries maintain this type of policy so if we lived within walking distance (I don't drive) of a nursery of comparable quality, I would opt for that instead. Otherwise excellent.

Have only been at the nursery for a month but I think my son is enjoying it. Keyworkers are very pleased and they seem to do some magic on my sons eating experience. He is very fussy with his food at home but at the nursery, he's eating everything and also starting feeding himself, what seems impossible
with him at home. Thank you, ladies, at Squirrels.

Busy Bees at Horsham has been part of our lives for 6 years now with both my son and daughter attending. The care shown by staff in looking after my children and helping them grow into young people has been second to none.
We will really miss Busy Bees when my daughter starts school this September.

We cannot fault Busy Bees, Horsham for anything. The staff are fantastic, so friendly, caring and genuine interest in the children. We feel so comfortable leaving our children with the nursery and care of the staff.
We love the procedures the nursery follow and again feel our children are safe in their
hands.

Our son started Busy Bees at six-months old and we continue to be very happy with the nursery. The staff are caring and supportive and the parent communication is great. As a working parent, it was so important for me to be able to receive updates- they use an app which is updated showing nappies, meals
and sleep- so we are always kept informed. Our son has been in two rooms since starting and has loved both. The staff encourage his interests, he's learning important life and social skills and clearly knows what is right and wrong. We looked at lots of nurseries in Horsham and Busy Bees was our favourite by far- it makes work so much easier, knowing that our little boy is happy and being well cared for.

Very friendly nursery, professional with lots of focus around learning.

Our 8-month-old loves going daily and we have watched her progress well and advance for her age thanks to the nursery staff. She is fully weaned and given a great selection of food and when I asked for what she is eating to be

added to the online daily app, they were happy to oblige.

Great to see her doing painting, messy play and interacting with other babies as well as the bonds she has already formed in 2 months, very reassuring.

When it was daddy's birthday, they happily helped our little girl make a card, made daddy's day when I brought her home.

So far cannot fault the staff or care our little one receives

My daughter has been attending the setting since she was 9months old and started with allergies and a really bad eczema which needed lots of care, the girls were really good with her and her allergies. She was a really shy child that needed lots of one to one time but now she is a confident little girl
that will have a go at anything.

After removing my son from an inadequate nursery in Horsham, I was worried that my son wouldn't settle with only a year before school but the nursery was just fantastic! What a change I have seen, my son is confident and thriving in a fun and friendly setting. The staff made us feel very welcome and
give a great handover everyday, regular parents evenings and events. Healthy meals which my son loves and a special class for those starting school. I will be sending my daughter here too!

My twins attend Busy Bees at Horsham and they thoroughly enjoy it. They entertain us with tales of what they've been doing on a day to day basis, whether they've been playing in the secure outdoor space, indoors in the beach room or drawing and painting. All of the team treat them as individuals and
help them thrive - such a great environment :-)

My daughter has been attending Busy Bees at Horsham since she was 6 months old. I was very upset about leaving her at such a young age however she settled in quickly thanks to the wonderful team. I get excellent feedback about her day, artwork and photos, they are such a caring team full of energy,
enthusiasm and creative ideas. My daughter is now 2.5 and everyone knows her name and greets her, even if she hasn't been in their class. She loves the nursery and has thrived there. She is confident, happy and has learnt so much. Each child is encouraged to learn and try new things; I feel the team genuinely care about her well-being. My daughter especially loves playing in the newly designed garden, going for walks, playing in soft play and in the 'Beach room'. The facilities are excellent, menu varied and they are flexible as well, compared to other nurseries. I cannot praise the team enough. My daughter spends so much time there they are like her second family and I know she is safe and well looked after in their care.

My son enjoys his time at the nursery and the interaction he has with both the staff and the other children. He loves the outdoor space and he is always happy and content when I pick him up.
The nursery offers a why range of activities for the children from soft play to a beach room with real sand,
water play and a good clean and safe outdoors for them to run around and have lots of fun.

My now 3 year old twins have been attending Busy Bees since I returned to work when they were 9 months old - I can only sing the praise of all the team, everyone is friendly, helpful, attentive and shows genuine interest in all the children.
The team have been amazing at accommodating my requirements
(both my husband and I work shifts).
Everyone is approachable and there is a real family feel between all the girls (ladies!). Nothing is too much hassle and they work closely with the parents nurturing each child - my twins have always been treated as individuals and provided with all the support they need as they've grown and moved up the classes - it'll be a sad day when they leave for school.

I don't often visit the nursery to collect my child as his mum does drop off and pick up's, but when I do I am always amazed at how caring and attentive the staff are. They know my son really well and I get thorough feedback about his day. I can tell he enjoys himself as he always has a huge smile on
his face and often comes home with pictures and artwork that he has been busy creating.

My son started in June 2016 and has loved every minute of nursery life. There is so much going on for him to explore and he has developed so much since starting.
All the staff are really friendly and greet you every morning with a smile.
I love the fact the the nursery has separate, enclosed gardens
for the different age groups, so I know he is getting lots of fresh air in a space that his tailored to his younger needs. He often gets upset when I have to take him home which I think is a great sign.

Current Review Score: 7.9 (7.913)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 7.9 (7.913) out of 10 for Busy Bees Horsham is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 4 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.4 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.553 for Busy Bees Horsham is calculated as follows: ( (31 Excellents x 5) + (12 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 47 Ratings = 4.553
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.36 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Horsham is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.25
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 136 number of registered child places is 27.2. 3 Positive Reviews ÷ 27.2 = 0.11
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
