Young Sussex Nursery (Hove) offers family-run care and prides itself in providing flexible childcare in a stimulating, loving and friendly environment.

The children benefit from a range of resources and activities including music groups, weekly yoga, nature club and cooking classes, while the nursery also features interconnecting free-flow rooms and several spacious outdoor play areas.

Care is available term-time or full-time. With half day, school day and full day options as well as session swaps and the opportunity to book extra sessions, parents welcome Young Sussex's flexible childcare.

It received the 2018 and 2020 Award: Top 20 Nursery Group Award for ‘Most Recommended Small Nursery Groups' in the UK.

Free Early Learning Funding available for three- and four-year-olds (15 hours universal and 30 hours if eligible) as well as eligible two-year-olds (15 hours).

I can't recommend this nursery highly enough. Both of my children attend and absolutely love it! Everyone, including the managers, are really friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Please don't pay any attention to the negative Ofsted, this is a lovely nursery where your children will be
nurtured and have lots of fun.

I always find everyone very friendly and welcoming. My daughter always seems to have had a great day and if she is happy, so are we. Updates at the end of the day are always informative. Her speech and confidence have really blossomed since we started at 'Young Sussex Nursery'. We really like the new

I found it really helpful when 'Young Sussex Nursery' introduced tapestry so I could see how my son was doing any time at work. I think 'Young Sussex Nursery' provides a great environment for young children to grow and play. I have no negatives to bring forward.

Staff are always welcoming and friendly. Management have exceeded expectations when getting involved and helping us with attitude related problems regarding our daughter. Helping us put new routines in place, creating familiar boundaries between home and preschool. If we think our daughter is struggling
in certain areas, we as parents bring this to the staff's attention and find they incorporate it into that days activities. Overall, we are very happy to have chosen 'Young Sussex Nursery' for our daughter's preschool education.

'Young Sussex Nursery' is a great setting- all the staff are caring and they make a real effort to get to know all the children personally. Communication with parents is excellent and the management is very strong, providing brilliant leadership. The nursery's biggest strength is the wide range of imaginative
activities that are provided - there are superb visits arranged and always many different different stimulating activities on offer. I would highly recommend the nursery to other parents.

For me, the best thing about this nursery is the staff. Across the board, they are warm and nurturing. I currently have my second child there and I truly feel like they love her and know her very well. They have helped her develop strong friendships and learn positive ways to interact socially.
The progression from room to room is well done and makes them feel like they are more and more capable. Although she is not yet 4, they have given her a strong grounding for reading as she has learned all the letters and their sounds. I can't say enough about this wonderful nursery.

I would highly recommend Young Sussex to any parent looking for a nursery for their child. We have two boys who have thrived there for over three years. Staff are competent, caring and attentive and the premises are well equipped with educational and engaging toys. Really can't recommend it enough!!

Both my children have attended this nursery and I cannot fault the care they have received. The nursery team have remained consistent throughout the whole time giving much much needed stability and security I have always felt that my children's needs have been met and the nursery has always been proactive
whenever the kids have had little 'wobbles'. Everyone is so friendly and obviously happy in their work. A bonus are all the extra activities that are organised through third parties - forest school, cooking lessons, childrens yoga, music and movement sessions, animal visits - to name a few.

My son started at this nursery in August 2015 and is so happy there. He settled in really easily and all the staff are amazing. He is so enthusiastic about the time he spends at nursery and this must be due to the staff and set up at YS. We are very happy with how he is cared for and the activities

My 2.5 year old has settled brilliantly into nursery with the help of their fabulous staff. His speech and imagination has improved massively.
