Whenever have picked up my granddaughter up from Friends Forest Nursery - Shere she has always had a smile on her face. All the staff are very approachable and always smiling. The nursery is always clean, tidy and set up for the children to start their day. I would recommend the nursery to anyone who
is looking for a happy fun and outstanding nursery for their children to grow and develop in.

Friends provides a stimulating, safe and caring environment for our children to explore, challenge and grow.


As full-time working parents, it was important to us to find a childcare provider that would care about our children’s development and needs as much as we do.


We love the confidence that

Forest School gives them; through purposeful play, exploring, taking on challenges and using their imaginations, while all the time managing the risks for themselves.


The Garden Champion and The Young Investigators’ initiatives make the children aware of their boundaries but allow them to decide for themselves what is safe and unsafe.


The staff are very caring and kind to the children. They invest a lot of time into the little extras like Sports Days and the Christmas Play.


Recently, a new healthier menu has been introduced and it has been well received.


We have two very happy and content children at Friends!

My nephew attends Friends Forest Nursery and has done for the past six months. He absolutely loves it and is always telling us about what he has been up to, whether it is exploring the woods or planting things or doing experiments. I have picked him up several times and have always been glad to see
how much the children get up to in a day. It is just the type of place for an adventurous and inquisitive child like my nephew.

The changes I have seen over the last 5 months are incredible. The garden champion and the Young investigators' group is amazing, my child comes home and talks about what they have been doing and is keen to go to nursery.
Forest school is the best around, especially the bee house my child was involved
in and my child then made honey biscuits at the nursery as a follow on activity.
The learning is exceptional and the care is outstanding. The staff are also fabulous and my child loves his key person.

Wow this nursery is an amazing place for children to develop and grow. The Forest school is exceptional and so are all the staff. The facilities are outstanding and the food is cooked from fresh each day. My child always comes home and talks about his day at nursery. Go and see for yourself.

My child started at the nursery in April 2019. He has settled in so well and the manager and the staff have been amazing helping him to do so.
We have no problem with him going into nursery in the mornings and he is full of smiles when we collect in the evenings.
The room is always set up with engaging
and inviting activities and my son is always excited to go and get stuck in.
We particularly love the forest school at the nursery and our son always has lots to tell us about his sessions and what he has been up to!

Wow, what can I say! This nursery has lots of opportunities available for children to take part in during the day. My nephew loves going to Forest School which he goes to every day. The staff are attentive and caring and nothing is ever too much. I am kept fully informed of my nephew’s development.

Excellent nursery, excellent staff, a fantastic new manager who has made small but very nice touches to the nursery like the birds in the hallway. Staff are committed and my child runs in the morning and gives there key worker a cuddle.

My son has been at this nursery since February this year and what a pleasure it has been to watch him grow and develop into the charismatic toddler he is today! He engages in a wide range of wonderful activities and makes use of all the fantastic resources available to him. He has bonded with the baby
room staff extremely well, you can really tell they all love their job! I couldn’t be happier that we chose this setting for our son to grow. The daily forest school sessions are a fantastic opportunity to ensure my son interacts with the natural environment. His wellies are out to great use! The team communicate his daily activities at every handover and it makes me jealous! The care here is exceptional.

It's been a wonderful, inspiring nursery for both of our boys. The staff are amazing, caring and very supportive. The nursery provides not only yummy, healthy meals and snacks, but also fun and creative activities that I cannot offer at home. They also take kids out to the forest every day and making
the most of Shere. We see our boys learn and grow so much during the past two years and we would highly recommend Friends Forsest Nursery.

The staff are very attentive and caring. The children and staff always seem really happy. We are confident, all the children's every need is met. The management is approachable and organised. His development has accelerated since our son started here. We like how the nursery tries to relate their learning

During his time at Friends, I have watched my child thrive and grow in all areas of his development. His communication and social skills have come on a pace and I notice new skills and interests emerging every week as a result of him attending. The nursery provides a nurturing and stimulating environment,
with genuinely caring and friendly staff, who my son loves! The feedback I receive each session is so helpful and I don't feel like I'm missing out on his development while I'm at work. Forest School is wonderful and is really developing my son's love and interest in his outside environment. I'm delighted with friends, I couldn't praise the staff more highly and it has made my return to work much more painless. Thank you!!

When I came to visit the nursery the team were very friendly and inviting, my son went off to play straight away and felt comfortable and happy in the environment. My son has settled very well and we are so happy with the care he is receiving at the nursery. The nursery is set in a lovely location,
the children are able to play and explore in the village of Shere.

I would not hesitate in recommending this nursery. The staff are professional, friendly and welcoming and their resources for the children get better and better every week. As a parent, you want your children to feel safe, relaxed and happy at home and then also whilst learning. The nursery has gone
through some monumental changes in the last 6 months which have been a breath of fresh air.


The walls are covered with artwork, the rooms are now filled with exciting and stimulating play areas and they also have some lovely new resources in their garden outside - sandpits, mud kitchens, plant growing areas, water play and a chalk drawing area, all of which my daughter absolutely loves. Thank you to all for your hard work and for making our daughter's days with you so much fun!

The girls are always extremely welcoming when I drop my son off and I can tell they all have a great relationship with him. I feel comfortable leaving my son whilst I work as I can see he is very happy in his nursery surroundings. We are very excited about the upcoming refurbishment and cannot wait
