The Old Barn Day Nursery Baby Suite

He loves the different activities and is never bored.

The kids are always happy when I drop off and pick up. They always have something to bring home or to tell me about when I ask what they've been up to. I'm very happy with their progress and everything the staff do for them.

My son has joined this whole nursery since he was 1. He came to pre-prep at the beginning of this year and although supposed to transition over a month to ease him in, by the end of day 1 did not want to go back to baby school. The nursery was very good at working with us and got him in full time within a week.

He loves being at big school and has definitely got him ready for school in September. All the children seem to be ready and willing to discuss changes and know who will be at school with them.

I feel the best start to school for my son and think even friends going to different schools, he will see and keep in touch with.

The staff are great and definitely know how to engage with the children which makes them confident and happy kids.

He really enjoys the outside learning area and having access to more grown-up toys and learning aids.

My daughter thoroughly enjoys her time spent at The Old Barn Pre-Prep. She has made a strong friendship group and really enjoys all the different activities and visits she gets to do with these friends. As a parent, I'm confident that when I leave my daughter at The Old Barn she is in safe and fun hands!

My daughter has come along so much since joining The Old Barn Day Nursery Pre-prep. Her verbal and emotional improvements are brilliant. She is able to do basic calculations and know all of her letters and has started to string words together. The staff are brilliant. They are so warm and friendly. Not only to me but my daughter. In her words, it is her second home.

My son has made some lovely friends at pre-prep and his social skills are great thanks to him and his teachers. My son loves the excursions and sporty tots as well as the outdoor equipment. I couldn't be happier with all the support my son has had at pre-prep and couldn't recommend it enough to anyone I come across. I will be devasted when my son leaves in September for school, but also know that nowhere else could have better prepared him.

An excellent nursery. Staff always friendly and welcoming. Very happy with how our child has progressed. She is happy to be there and speaks fondly of the 'grown ups'.

We have always been really happy with The Old Barn. Our children are happy and the staff are professional and dedicated to helping the children strive and flourish. I would recommend it to everyone I know!

We are so delighted with The Old Barn. Our son has developed so much since he has been at pre-prep - his confidence, his language, reasoning, knowledge and listening skills have improved immeasurably. I come quite regularly to collect my niece due to my sister's work pattern and it's really lovely to see how happy she is at the Old Barn Day Nursery Pre-School. I enjoy watching her play with her friends when she is unaware I am there. The staff are very attentive at giving a good handover especially knowing I have to then handover to her mother/father. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is always upbeat. The activities that I walk in on are such great ideas and a fab way for the children to learn. There are times when trying to go home can be a struggle as she is having too much fun and doesn't even want to leave. I haven't got children of my own just yet but when I do then at least I know I can confidently leave my child in their care. I would highly recommend the Old Barn!

Our son already has a key person and has only been there for a short time. His key person is always available and shows great care towards him as do all the rest of the staff, the manager is lovely also. We know he is only there for a short time before he goes off to primary school but we are so relieved to know he is in good hands until he does.

Love that food is home cooked and that there is plenty of opportunity for trips and extra curricular activities.

My daughter loves going in and doesn't want to leave. The staff are fantastic and very hard working. The staff offer excellent care for my daughter and I don't worry about her whilst she is there.

Fees have increased yearly however which we felt was a little rich.

My daughter has been at the Old Barn Day Nursery since she was 2 and is currently in the pre-school. Both the nursery and pre-school are excellent settings with great outdoor space. They take real care over learning, activities and nutrition and the management are very engaged with parents. The real highlight is the staff which are all great and are obviously very dedicated and passionate about caring for little ones.

My only negative comments is where there has been a lot of change over the last few months with the change of ownership which resulted in the staff being moved around a lot, this was definitely unsettling. Hopefully, this will settle over time. Occasionally the emails from The Old Barn to parents cause confusion so could be clearer.
