The Old Barn Day Nursery - Baby Suite is a private day care setting located in Banstead.

It is open full-time from 8:00am – 6:00pm, caring for children from 6 months - 2 years.

The Baby suite is situated on the High Street, with its sister Nursery located on Woodmansterne Lane. Both sites have access to local towns and cities via the M25 and there is easy access by train for travel into London.

The Old Barn Day Nursery - Baby suite provides an indoor and outdoor environment. The garden is a fantastic open space which allows the children to explore the world around them. It offers a home from home nursery experience where the day is tailored to each child's individual routine. Home Visits are embedded to have a first initial starting point to create strong parent partnerships and clear understanding of what the child's home routine is so it can be matched at the setting.

A well experienced and qualified baby room team has been put together to ensure each family gets the great nursery experience they look for.

The Nursery and Pre-Prep offers children nutritionally-balanced, home-cooked meals. The cook freshly prepares the meals Monday - Friday.

We have just recently moved house and pre-school in which our son has attended since he was in the baby room. As you can imagine looking for a new setting has been very challenging considering how happy we knew he was at his previous nursery!
We heard about the Old Barn through a friend who lives
near the area who's child also attended. We visited the Pre-Prep and straight away had a warm feeling towards the place. The children that were in that day looked so happy, staff were very enthusiastic, the setting itself was set out really nicely and was very clean.
Our son already has a key person and has only been there for a short time. His key person is always available and shows great care towards him as do all the rest of the staff, the manager is lovely also. We know he is only there for a short time before he goes off to primary school but we are so relieved to know he is in good hands until he does.

Wonderful nursery, very happy children and amazing staff.
Love that food is home cooked and that there is plenty of opportunity for trips and extra curricular activities.

My daughter loves going in and doesn't want to leave. The staff are fantastic and very hard working. The staff offer excellent care for my daughter and I don't worry about her whilst she is there.

Overall very happy with the standard at the nursery, both children have done very well and we believe this has given them a great foundation for progression into school life.
Fees have increased yearly however which we felt was a little rich.

My daughter has been at the Old Barn Day Nursery since she was 2 and is currently in the pre-school. Both the nursery and pre-school are excellent settings with great outdoor space. They take real care over learning, activities and nutrition and the management are very engaged with parents. The real
highlight is the staff which are all great and are obviously very dedicated and passionate about caring for little ones.

My child really enjoys going to the preschool and really likes all the staff and the friends he has made. He has learnt lots over the last couple of years, and is always excited about the subject matter, and the way he is taught. The food is home cooked and the menu is varied which I like and so does
my child.
My only negative comments is where there has been a lot of change over the last few months with the change of ownership which resulted in the staff being moved around a lot, this was definitely unsettling. Hopefully, this will settle over time. Occasionally the emails from The Old Barn to parents cause confusion so could be clearer.

My name is Laura and I have over 10 years experience working in the Early Years sector. I have roles such as Designated Safeguarding Lead, SENCo and Fire Warden. I pride myself on creating stimulating, enabling environments which allow children to learn through their play and have the freedom to express themselves in a supported environment.


I aim to ensure that the setting is a warm, natural and a home from home environment so the children are comfortable to explore. I love the outdoors and feel that the children should always have the freedom to choose if they would like to be indoors or outdoors. I take pride in always putting the children at the centre of everything we do here at The Old Barn Day Nursery & Pre-Prep.

My name is Amber and I have over 10 years experience working in the Early Years Sector. I pride myself in working closely with families to support the children with reaching their milestones across all ages at the setting. I keep myself up to date with all legislation and trends within the nursery sector and I imbed these across my whole team. I am a qualified Designated Safeguarding Lead for Surrey County Council and I use this training to ensure all children, families and staff are safe within the Old Barn Day Nursery and Pre Prep.


My main focus is to provide a calm, warm and homely environment where children and families feel comfortable and safe whilst they are with us. I am incredibly strong on parent partnerships and throughout the year I organise events to have the parents involved in their child's journey.
