CherryLands Nursery is a private day nursery and is part of the Family First Day Nurseries group who are committed to excellence in childcare by offering the highest standards of professionalism in a warm, friendly and caring atmosphere.

The nursery's vision is that through quality and professionalism to be the childcare provider of first choice for working parents and to be a home from home environment that provides the children with security and trust. The overall approach is ‘Active Learning Through Purposeful Play’ and this philosophy has been incorporated into how the company delivers the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

Cherrylands Nursery opened in 1995 and operates from a former business and office building, close to Weybridge and a business park and it serves the local community and surrounding areas. The nursery is on the Early Years register and opens from 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday for 51 weeks of the year, (closed at Christmas for 1 week and Bank Holidays).

The nursery can care for 30 children at any one time. The setting welcomes and supports children with additional needs and has 8 children who speak additional languages and a further 5 children who have additional cultural backgrounds. There are currently no children attending the nursery receiving SEND funded support and a further intervention.

The childcare is divided into 2 age and stage related rooms on one level with all equipment chosen to suit the age and stage of the children. It is recognised by the nursery that children develop at different rates, so to reflect this, the rooms are given flexibility within the ages and each child is looked at individually to ensure that their individual needs are met appropriately and that they are in the best place for them to grow and develop educationally, socially and emotionally.

My daughter went to Cherrylands for one year before we relocated. We were so pleased with everything about the nursery and she really thrived there. All of the staff are so friendly, professional and caring. The communication via the app and monthly news was incredible and we felt so informed. My daughter
also has a milk protein allergy, and Cherrylands catered for this so well. I am also a primary school teacher and could see how well the children are prepared for reception. I would recommend this nursery to anyone!

My son has recently started school so is no longer at Cherrylands, but I can safely say he had the best few years there ever. The staff were always attentive, friendly and creative and he was excited to go to see his teachers and friends when he attended. The learning environment is enriched with lots
of lovely resources and themes and the outside area is amazing! My baby will be starting there next year and we couldn’t be happier as we know she will be looked after in exactly the same way.

Cherrylands is a wonderful nursery. My three year old has been going for six months, after moving him from another nursery, and I couldn't be happier that we moved him to Cherrylands. The staff are so kind and warm and the communication is excellent. My son settled quickly and always looks forward to
going to nursery. They have lovely events through the year such as a mother's/father's/grandparent's tea, which is a lovely touch and really makes you feel part of something. I couldn't recommend it enough to people! I have a baby starting there next year and it's very reassuring to know he will be going to such a lovely nursery with a great team.

We have nothing but praise for Cherrylands Nursery. Our daughter has enjoyed her time here and thrived. Lovely children and excellent staff. The team are quick to answer any queries and very helpful to support any issues. Will miss it very much when we leave to start school in September.

We have been so happy with Cherrylands Nursery. My 3-year-old started two years ago in the baby room and settled really quickly. The nursery has a homely and friendly atmosphere and my son loves attending. He talks fondly about all the staff. They have a lovely outdoor area inside a park so plenty of
space to run around. I have been impressed with how they have supported my son's development during his time there and their patience working through any issues. They clearly put a lot of thought into getting children ready for school. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

10/10! Our son attends Cherrylands Nursery and joined around his 3rd birthday, previously he had been to another nursery in the area. From the initial visit to settling in and then his full days, it has been superb. We can't fault his time here. All the staff are wonderful and it is such a nurturing,
caring, patient and fun environment with a great ethos. They have gone the extra mile in certain areas and we have been thrilled since our son first started at Cherrylands. The setting has a great outdoor area and the team is constantly improving areas and thinking of great things to do. Thank you! We would thoroughly and happily recommend Cherrylands to other families.

My son attended Cherrylands Nursery from 1.5 years old and still attends to this day. The staff are all extremely lovely, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable in child development. My son extremely enjoys it and we can see that he’s happy whenever he comes home. The only minus we have is about the schedule
flexibility but that is very little inconvenience in comparison to the amazing environment they provide.

We are thrilled with Cherrylands Nursery. Both our children attend the nursery and are so happy, every day they come home and are excited to tell us about their day. Our youngest started when only 10 months and the baby room was fantastic, she settled in really fast. Our oldest has a speech delay and
this was first spotted and flagged by the nursery and they have been incredible at supporting him and getting him referred. We would happily recommend this nursery to other parents!

I love Cherrylands Nursery and so does my daughter. They have a warm and comforting environment with active learning. The staff are amazing, patient and knowledgeable with so much heart and a caring mindset. They helped with potty training and preparing for the transition to school.

I couldn’t recommend this nursery more. The happiness and well-being of the children are central to everything they do. I’ve had two daughters there and both have progressed fantastically through a fun and varied curriculum. Great efforts have also been made to improve the outdoor learning environment
and it looks brilliant! The staff are very knowledgeable and make the effort to build good relationships with the parents. They also prepare the children very well for school when they are at the appropriate age. If I ever have another child I know that I would send them to Cherrylands Nursery.

I couldn’t be happier with Cherrylands nursery. The staff are kind, caring and supportive. A special thank you to my son’s key person. Her interaction with children is truly amazing!
Managers are always here to help. My boy learnt so much about nature, space, animals, seasons, etc through different

Our son absolutely loves spending four days a week at Cherrylands and we have really noticed the benefit to his development, personality and behaviour from the excellent range of activities, play and learning tasks that they do. My little boy just loves going to nursery! He has been going since eleven months and is now three. The staff are so friendly and caring and supportive to his development and any concerns I have as a parent.
The Parent App is a great tool to check on how he is doing through the day and gives great
support when away with work and I can see easily how much he has eaten, what he is playing and his daily review with all the other bits that may happen throughout the day!
He comes home full of stories of all his friends and what they have been playing in the fabulous garden which is a great size with lots of areas of creative play, mud kitchen, bug hotel, climbing frames and balancing, bike area.
A great little nursery with a lovely team.

Cherrylands is a wonderful nursery. All members of staff are very kind and professional - you can tell they love their work. There is real attention to detail in getting to know all of the children as individuals and ensuring that the care they receive is first rate. The children get to participate
in a huge range of activities in a day from painting to looking at different objects in tactile trays to lots of time to play in the garden. I love the use of the app as you can see what your child is up to during the day and staff report in detail to you how your little one has been throughout the day at pick up time. I have no doubt my daughter loves her time at Cherrylands and I am so pleased that she is looked after by such lovely and caring professionals.

Overall I am happy with my son's nursery. It has a nice family feel as it is small and friendly and everyone knows everyone. The outdoor space is particularly impressive. Parking is also great and always available. The staff are friendly but sometimes the feedback is fairly generic and there is rarely
artwork or drawings that my son has done. It would be nice to see a bit more interactive learning as it can sometimes feel a bit 'creche' like. The nursery is also inflexible on day changes etc, but overall a positive experience with caring staff.

My name is Diane. I have worked in Early Years settings since 1994. I moved to Surrey from Staffordshire in June 2010 and joined Cherrylands as a Level 3 qualified nursery nurse.


During my time at Cherrylands, I have gained experience in all the different age groups. I have supporting certificates including Safeguarding Children, Safer Recruitment, Paediatric First Aid, Basic Food Hygiene and many more. I am also the Health and safety representative for the nursery.


It is rewarding to know that I make a difference to the children within my care and that Cherrylands is providing a safe, caring, and loving environment.
