The nursery also features an outdoor classroom incorporating a soft play area and a sensory space. The secure outdoor environment includes a climbing frame to promote gross motor development, as well as a gardening patch where children can explore nature. Indoors, the setting offers five age-specific rooms equipped with appropriate resources, a dedicated sleep room for younger children, and well-planned changing and toileting facilities. An on-site kitchen, staffed by two caterers, provides freshly prepared homemade meals each day.
The staff team takes pride in delivering a warm and friendly service and remains committed to supporting children’s positive development and preparing them well for future challenges. We are so pleased we found Cherrywood Nursery and chose for our son to attend. From being shown around before our baby was born to when he started at about 8-months-old, we have been so impressed and happy with his care and all of the staff we have encountered. Our son has loved all of the nursery workers in both rooms he has been in and is genuinely happy to arrive each day. The app and summary reports are updated regularly and are very detailed. Photos are uploaded of our son and his friends and it’s so lovely to see them happy whilst we work. Would 100% recommend.

Ever since our daughter has attended CherryWood she has been supported by a team of excellent staff. The staff have been caring, kind, understanding and supportive to both our daughter and us throughout her time at CherryWood. They keep us up to date with daily activities, food, toileting and sleep. All of the daily updates on the app made my return to work a lot smoother knowing our daughter was being cared for. The activities that the staff provide for the children are varied and targeted at their level and help them meet their developmental milestones along with the next steps the staff write for the children.

CherryWood Nursery and their incredible team have been an integral part of our child's early development. Our daughter loves coming to nursery, she has made incredible friendships which have been fostered by the staff and she has made wonderful relationships with all the staff, not just her key adults. The staff are so happy, welcoming and make us feel like every member of staff knows our child so well. Our child is happy, safe and makes amazing progress - what more could a parent want?

I've been sending our son to Cherrywood since September when we moved to the area. Since day one, the care that he has received has been second to none and we are so happy with everything. His development has come on in leaps and bounds compared to his previous nursery and the structure and learning that has been brought to him is excellent. I am relieved to have secured a place for my daughter as my return to work so much easier knowing that she will be so well looked after. I have worked in Early Years education for 10 years, and it is truly my passion. I feel privileged to be part of each child’s unique journey, watching them learn, grow, and develop, and helping to make their first five years fun, meaningful, and memorable.
I have spent my entire childcare career with Cherry Childcare, progressing from an unqualified Nursery Nurse to Manager of CherryWood Nursery. Throughout this journey, I have gained a broad range of experience across different roles and levels of responsibility, which has shaped my leadership style and deepened my understanding of high-quality early years provision.
I am deeply committed to supporting both children and my team. I believe that when practitioners feel confident, valued, and knowledgeable, they are better equipped to provide outstanding care and education. I strive to create a supportive environment where my team can grow professionally, reflect on their practice, and continuously develop their skills so that, together, we can give every child and their family the very best start in life.
During my time at SENCO, I worked closely with children and families to ensure individual needs were fully understood and supported. I am passionate about inclusion and about tuning into each child as an individual, ensuring they have the right tools, strategies, and support to succeed and thrive.
As a Manager, I lead with a child-centred approach. Children are always at the heart of every decision I make. My primary responsibility is to ensure that all practice prioritises child safety, emotional well-being, developmental appropriateness, and inclusive values.
