Barnkids is proud to have achieved the Eco-Schools Green Flag Award, with sustainability playing an important part in nursery life. Children are actively involved in growing fruit, vegetables and herbs, caring for the environment and learning about the natural world around them.
The experienced nursery team places a strong emphasis on each child’s individual interests, development and next steps. Thoughtful observations and planning are used to create engaging experiences that support children to become confident, independent and enthusiastic learners.
Strong partnerships with families are extremely important at Barnkids. Parent events, gardening clubs, coffee mornings and regular communication provide opportunities for families to become involved in nursery life.
Above all, Barnkids aims to provide a place where children feel safe, have fun, build strong relationships and make wonderful memories while learning and growing.

Barnkids offers a safe, friendly and stimulating environment for my child. Since being in the Chicken Run she has grown in confidence and ability in all areas of development. It is hard to believe that in just three months she has built up enough stamina to walk all the way to The Forest School Camp. The staff are caring and nurturing and I have a child who happily walks in by herself each morning. What more could I want!

Daisey brings over 20 years of Early Years experience, having started her career as an apprentice at the age of 16 and progressed through a variety of roles to Nursery Manager.
She has spent her entire 20-year career at Lilliput Nursery in Hersham and has worked within the Bright Stars Nurseries group for the past five years, since Lilliput became part of the group.
Daisey is an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager who particularly enjoys developing strong staff teams, building positive relationships with families and creating exciting, high-quality learning opportunities for children.
Curriculum development and sustainability are particular passions, alongside supporting and coaching practitioners to continually develop their knowledge and practice. She strongly believes that nursery should be a place where children feel safe, happy and confident, while being given opportunities to explore, take appropriate risks, develop independence and, most importantly, have fun.
Daisey joined Barnkids to provide leadership and support during a period of significant change and improvement. She has enjoyed working alongside the existing Barnkids team, children and families to strengthen practice, develop the nursery environment and build positive relationships within the nursery community.
Known for her approachable management style and sense of humour, Daisey believes in being visible, honest and accessible to families and staff, while maintaining high expectations for the quality of care and education provided to every child.
