Barnkids Nursery and Forest School

Genuinely so happy with the whole team, and on a side note, their handling of COVID and lockdown was exceptional.

My daughter has been at Barn Kids since she was 9 months old (now 21 months) and during that time she has moved through the Hatchery, into the Nest and is about to move into the Chicken Run. We have had a wonderful experience from day one and my daughter has loved her days at Barn Kids. The staff have always been super helpful and communicative. I work full-time and their wrap-around care hours really work for us; I always feel that I can rely on Barn Kids to support us. I particularly like their use of the ParentZone app which means I get updates throughout the day of meals, sleep and sometimes lovely pictures of her day. She learnt to walk during lockdown and is now regularly spending her days in Junior Forest School, and she will do even more of this when she moves into the Chicken Run in November. The nursery has been brilliant in their communication during Covid. Their Forest School is amazing and has to be seen - the website only gives a taster!

All of the children have loved their time at Barnkids.

Our son has been at Barnkids for 18 months, since he was 1, and is super happy. The staff are lovely, look after the kids really well and give them plenty to do. Our son always looks forward to going, and loves being outdoors, going to Forest School and so on. We looked at a few nurseries before deciding on Barnkids, and I can't imagine sending him anywhere else now - what a lovely start in life for all the lucky kids who go there!

Barnkids has been a warm, welcoming experience for my son and for me. The staff are patient and friendly and make an effort to be available and update me even when they're clearly busy. A very positive place. One area for improvement is that I think there is a lot of emphasis on free play and more structured activities would be good. But we are very happy.

The staff at the Barn have taken good care of our little one from the age of 1 to now nearly 3. The forest school is great and our daughter has made good friends and loves her keyworker. The nursery have listened to any questions and tried hard to ensure we are all happy. Thank you.

Was delighted to find Barnkids for wonderful play in the fresh air and plenty of good care. Highly recommended.

We have seen our son's character developing over the last 18 months, much of which has been clearly down to the excellent environment at Barnkids. Each week we see something new learnt, with him referring to the names of other children at the nursery. Throughout our son's attendance, the staff have been excellent and it is difficult to find any fault. We are incredibly pleased with his development at Barnkids and look forward to seeing how he develops over the next couple of years.

Fabulous nursery in idylic setting. My daughter now loves being outdoors in all weather and is much more adventurous. She is really happy here.

Our son has settled straight into Barnkids and loves all the activities. He is an outdoor child, so Barnkid's emphasis on all things outdoors has been a real draw, that said, it's been so much more. We've found it nurturing, educational and a social environment for him to enjoy.

A fabulous setting with such friendly staff who have looked after my daughter well. In particular, the forest school set up is great - lots of interesting learning ideas creating really confident children. Now they do lunch and supper it has made the work morning much easier without having to organise a packed lunch.

He has made many great friends and is absolutely prepared for full-time school, having forged close relationships with all of those he has interacted with.

We love all of the staff too. They are all so much fun and caring.

Barnkids has a genuine community feel and staff take the time and trouble to get to know the parents as well as the children. I've been hugely impressed at the creativity and commitment of the carers and how well they have got to know, and subsequently, support my son. The outdoor space, garden with growing opportunities and the forest school all make Barn a little gem.

Value for money - only marked good as have to supply nappies and wipes.

An excellent nursery that provides a fun, caring and educational setting. Our son loves every day. He is gaining confidence and making great friends. The outdoor activities are excellent and were one of the reasons we chose Barnkids. They have not disappointed. Very happy parents.

Our son has been at Barnkids for a year now and absolutely loves it. He quickly settled and gets on really well with all the practitioners - they love him and he loves them. He only goes two days a week but in the last few months, he's talked about wanting to go to nursery on non-nursery days which is a great sign. And now he's transitioning up to the Barn age group he's really excited about it - we thought he'd be a bit wary of moving up but he hasn't looked back and is really proud to be a "big boy".

The facilities at Barnkids are second to none - there are several outside spaces with various different features including an undercover space which is great for those rainy days, meaning they aren't stuck indoors. And that's without even mentioning the forest school which is a glorious walk across a couple of fields, often filled with sheep for the kids to look at.

We're really happy with Barnkids and would highly recommend it.

I am sad there is not an afterschool club, however. Staff care is excellent and I feel the safeguard measures are good.

My husband and I are thrilled with Barnkids Nursery, the staff are so friendly and we have absolutely no concerns when we drop our child off. My only suggestions would be to have flexible 1/2 days available (after you sign up for 2) as we have found on a number of occasions this would have been very useful. And finally when our baby first started nursery we had photos every day, this was really nice but we don't often get any pictures to see what he has been up to now.

My daughter has been at Barnkids for 5 months now and has grown so much in herself and learnt so much. She loves all the staff and asks every day to go to Barnkids Nursery and Forest School.
