The Old Station Nursery Faringdon

My daughter has attended all 3 rooms at The Old Station Nursery and has always received a positive welcome and support from the staff here. The care given is clearly genuine, and she is always very happy to go in. The staff and management are attentive and always welcome discussions surrounding the care and development and any concerns. We have always felt supported as a family and thank the entire team for this. The team always appear willing to try new approaches to help the children, and they are always coming up with fun, developmental activities for them to enjoy including lots of fun days and events as well as day-to-day.

Absolutely fantastic nursery, our daughter has come such a long way since she started this nursery. Her speech has really picked up and social skills have improved dramatically. She loves and has an amazing bond with her teachers, who are wonderful. We could not recommend this nursery enough.

My daughter has settled in so well to the baby room and has loved all the activities. I really enjoy seeing all the creative things she has been up to. The staff have been so kind and the atmosphere is always positive and upbeat. I really like the interaction with parents with photo updates, this makes me very happy at work! My daughter seems to be thriving at nursery so thank you.

I was very anxious about sending my daughter to nursery 17-months ago, but the staff are just amazing with her. She now loves going in and is one very happy girl! I would highly recommend this nursery.

Absolutely brilliant all-round, on every level. A very happy place. Great learning and development practice, fabulous outdoor space, and a great variety of activities. Very good food and brilliant communication.

I couldn't recommend this place any higher. Our youngest daughter had very little social interaction (due to lockdown), so I was worried about her settling in - however, the staff in the baby room are so warm and friendly that she's been happy and content consistently from day one. Our eldest has grown massively in confidence since starting in the older room, and is kept very busy and stimulated whilst he's there. He is always happy to tell us what he's been up to in the day (and he often sings us new songs)! They're a lovely team with some great ideas.

They are always so busy doing lots of fun activities with the children... my son always has lots to say about his day!

My son is nearly two and a half, he has been in the baby room and toddler room, both of which he has absolutely loved. The staff have been so lovely; they listen to what I tell them about my son and always give great feedback. My son enjoys going to nursery and always seems to have fun and is cared for. He gets on very well with his key person in the toddler room; she is always very friendly, gives me good feedback, is always helpful, and my son is very comfortable with her.

My son has been a part of the nursery for about a year. The staff are extremely helpful, and my son really enjoys his time there. We have had no issues, and I will highly recommend the nursery. I love checking the log at the end of the session. I really enjoy the handover process too, and almost feel like my son is going from one family to another. All the staff are friendly and really go out of the way to make parents and children comfortable. Thank you, and keep up the good work.

My son attended The Old Station Nursery for holiday club this year. Despite not knowing anyone on his first day, he settled in so well and I think that was mainly down to the amazing staff, who really took time to get to know him. He absolutely loved his time there and has been raving about all the different activities he got up to and singing new songs he was taught. On his last day of holiday club, he didn't want to leave and asked me straight away if he could go back at half term! As a parent, it has completely put my mind at rest that he is really well looked after there and also extremely happy. I will definitely be recommending it to others.

Our son has attended the nursery since he was five months old. We could not be happier with the wonderful care and fantastic atmosphere at the nursery. They are so committed and innovative with the opportunities for play and learning that they provide. Continued investment in the facilities in recent months has created fresh new spaces, but even before that, it is just a lovely environment to send your little ones.

I was very impressed by not just the setting itself but also the incredibly caring staff. I found the activities available fantastic and my children thoroughly enjoy the likes of cheeky monkeys and French lessons as well as regular trips into town/the hairdressers etc to learn about their interests and further their education. My eldest has now been at the nursery for 2 years and youngest joint last year too and I would certainly recommend to anyone else looking for childcare - in fact, I have done so previously!

The food is top class and the community events make it so enjoyable to meet other parents and the children my daughter talks about. I shall be very sad when she leaves to go to school. Fantastic staff, activities, food and facilities.

When it came to choosing a nursery for my little boy to attend, I was extremely nervous. He had never attended one and when I first started looking he was just over two. I didn’t know what to expect and I’m not sure whether I was more nervous regarding that, or whether it was regarding if my little boy would adjust and enjoy himself in new surroundings. I couldn’t recommend a better nursery than The Old Station Nursery. Not only does it provide an amazing environment for children to develop and explore new things, but it also has amazing staff. Management and their team are genuinely lovely people and care and want the best for every child at the nursery. Not only do they support the children but also the parents. I’ve noticed a huge change in my son since he has started attending and the extra support from his key worker and another carer has been so beneficial for him. It’s truly a wonderful nursery and wonderful staff.

I couldn't imagine sending my children to any other nursery. There is so much care and attention given to each child, and regular updates so parents can have an insight into their child's day. They cater for planned activities specifically suited to the children's own interests. I have never had a moment of doubt whether this was the best place for my child.

We looked at a number of nurseries for our daughter (2yrs old). We chose The Old Station Nursery for a number of reasons. The staff are amazing, updates on the app to let us know what our daughter has been up to, with updates on her development too. At every pickup, our daughters day is relayed to us with things she enjoyed and food she had eaten (which is different every day). The staff are very bubbly and easy to talk to. Our daughter loves going here and waves at everyone as soon as we come through the gates, she always runs in to see her little friends and the staff always welcome her with such joy and love. I couldn't imagine her going to any other nursery. Thank you Old Station Nursery for helping our daughter grow.

What strikes me most about the nursery is the warmth and friendliness of the staff. They bring a very homely feel to the place that is also professional. They all demonstrate a strong awareness of the needs of my child and give examples each day of how they are progressing. It is a comfort to know they are paying attention to my child.

The ladies of The Old Station Nursery are very welcoming and the standard of care speaks for itself. My kids absolutely adore the staff. The progress my eldest has made is remarkable and it's all down to the teaching standards. My youngest who is only 1 loves seeing the ladies first thing. And more importantly, I can go to work and feel relaxed and comforted by the fact they are very well taken care off.

The staff are really friendly and engaging with the children. The kids often come home with new ideas and conversations that they have clearly picked up from a broad range of experiences. The freshly prepared foods seem to be a hit with kids. The secure online daily updates for parents with photos and observations of what the children have been up to means you are always kept in the loop.

Highly recommended.
