Activeplay Nursery and Preschool

Activeplay Nursery is the most wonderful setting for any child to start their nursery journey on. Each and every one of the staff members is an absolute credit to that nursery, they are all so kind, caring, patient and professional. They are all approachable and will accommodate the needs of your child in every way they can. I’m very happy with the nutrition my son is receiving there and the varied diet he has, lots of homemade food. The activities that he does on a daily bases are simply wonderful and very imaginative, lots of crafts, singing, reading, home corner play with the kitchen etc, shapes, numbers, various seasonal activities, transient art, sensory play - the list could go on and on. We love that they have lots of outside play (daily in all weather) this was very important to us when choosing a nursery, and finally, the way our son runs through the nursery door each morning with a big smile On his face says everything we need to know about how much he loves his time there. Priceless.

My little boy has just started this nursery. Already I feel relaxed and happy with him being there. All staff members are lovely and go above and beyond for our little ones. Even in these scary times. Having updates as much as I do I can’t thank the staff members enough for all the reassurance whilst my son is at the nursery. Keep going, you’re all amazing.

Well, where do I start? The owner and the team at Activeplay Nursery are very professional, always thinking of the children, my daughter has come a long way from being in the baby room to now being in her final year before starting school in September. She has made some good friends and her personal development as a child is fantastic with the help from the staff from learning words and numbers. To shapes and cooking. The manager is even at the end of the phone if needing support in any way. When I ask my daughter what she has for dinner, all I get is yum yum, so the food there must be great.

Activeplay Nursery have been amazing to us as a family. As a first time mum sending my child into nursery was extremely daunting. He had spent most of his time with just my husband and me. I didn't need to worry. Activeplay have made the transition so comfortable. All staff are extremely understanding and supportive. My son seems so happy and is full of excitement and babbling when he comes home. The use of the app helps us see what he's been up to. We can already see the positive changes it is having on him. We would highly recommend this nursery.

The service we’ve received from Activeplay over the past three years has been, without a doubt, incredibly supportive and very much personalised to the needs of our child. The staff are attentive, kind and take the time to get to know each child and their parents as individuals so they can provide the care each child needs. My child has thrived from being in their care and is always eager to attend. I am very grateful for all the support Activeplay have given me, especially over the past year. I would recommend them to anyone I know who is looking for a nursery.

The staff have helped to support my son settle in here. Individuals giving reassurance to help my son every day, he loves going to playschool and bounces with joy on the way out having had such a good time there. He has recently moved up a class which is obviously a worry changing setting and staff but he still loves it just as much as he always has done. Staff are always helpful when I call to check in on him or query anything. The all-round pleasure of a place to know your child is being looked after and cared for, having fun and enjoying themselves not just there for the money.

Both of our children have attended Activeplay. If we were ever to have another child, I wouldn't pick a different preschool. Warm staff, welcoming and a setting in which both children have thrived. I feel I can easily approach the staff members for anything which has been lovely. Activeplay have also provided flexibility for us as a family which we are beyond grateful for. Would highly recommend.

My daughter really enjoys going to nursery and she has made good friends. Staff are always professional and friendly. My son who is now 11 years went to this nursery and he really enjoyed it as well. Good communication with parents.

A great welcoming nursery who appreciate each child individually and work closely with parents as well to ensure the best experience. Lots of activities and learning going on too. Our little one was reluctant to start nursery but the staff are so caring and great with the kids now he doesn’t look back and constantly talks about being there. A great nursery with a great team who are always on hand to answer questions. Our little one will definitely miss it when he goes to school!

My little boy started with the nursery when he was only 7 months and naturally I was nervous about how he’d get on, but the manager and her team made me feel at ease from day dot. My little one grew very attached to the baby room team, loved being there and has now happily transitioned into the toddler group. Have always felt that he is genuinely cared for whilst he was at the nursery, not just babysat. I worried that my son wouldn’t get the emotional support that little ones need, when at nursery, but have seen time and time again that he has been very well-loved and looked after during his time at Activeplay. The activities and the learning support provided by the team is also excellent with regular development progress reports.

We are really pleased with the nursery. Our son has been going there for 2 years and has learnt a lot and has lots of fun while he's there. All the staff are approachable and look after him really well. We have no complaints!

My daughter has been attending Activeplay nursery for the last 7 months and she absolutely loves it there. The staff are very professional and you can tell they adore the children which is very important to me. They always keep the children occupied with lots of activities and my daughter always has some form of artwork or baking she brings home with her. I like the fact that they provide a very detailed diary of my child's daily activities on the online learning journal as well as pictures so that the parents are well informed of their child's progress.

Activeplay is a wonderful nursery. It is open for longer hours than most local nurseries and all year round which is very convenient for working parents. The staff are friendly and supportive and the learning environment is wonderfully laid out. The meals are well thought out and nutritious. My child has been there from 9 months old and he has absolutely thrived! We are always kept informed of his progress via the online learning journal and it’s lovely to look back over everything he has achieved in his time there. They are very good at following the way you do things at home in the nursery in regards to feeds/naps/toilet training etc so there isn’t any disruption for the child during their time there. They have also handled the covid situation so professionally and with such care and understanding. I would and have recommended this nursery to anyone who is looking for childcare.

I have used Activeplay for both my girls from when my eldest was 2 years old. Both my girls settled in so quickly and have loved going to nursery. My eldest is now in school. Even through this covid year, they have been fantastic. They are extremely accommodating and always willing to find a way to help out. I could not recommend them enough.

My daughter attended this nursery for 2 years. The staff - lovely and have all been there a long time which I feel says a lot about an employer and working environment. Polite, engaging, caring, informative and professional. Nursery setting - clean, bright, warm, well resourced. The food menu was fresh and healthy. All children sit in the dining room for food. The opening hours are great for working life 7.30-6.30pm. The use of the online secure portal to be able to see photos of what your child is doing is nice and great for communication. In the two years my daughter was there I really do not have a negative about this nursery. It is privately owned so you're not just a number. Their approach to the pandemic was really reassuring. My daughter was really happy there but completely ready for school (due to their support) and that is the reason I would recommend it.

I sent both of my children to this nursery and they always went above and beyond for my children. I don't like to leave my children with anyone other than family members, so finding a nursery I trust to look after my children was a scary thought. Activeplay nursery always made me feel happy about leaving my children with them and I felt just as happy leaving my children with them as much as I did leaving them with a family member.

My daughter has been at this nursery for the past 4 years and she has LOVED IT! Not once has she had any issues there and never have I been concerned about the care she is receiving there. The facilities are great, especially the garden and they have made lots of improvements to the building in the last few years. The staff are amazing, fun and friendly and I love listening to my daughter tell me about all the fun things she gets up to. I wouldn't hesitate to send another child to this setting and I am sad that my daughter is now moving on to school. Activeplay have made such a positive impact on my daughter and thank you to everyone who has played a part in that.

Very friendly and professional at all times create a good bond with the children making their time here fun and exciting. Trustworthy staff always alerted and kept informed of any sickness knowing my child is safe and looked after is a great comfort. My child has enjoyed her nursery and grown with confidence and knowledge thanks to Activeplay Nursery and Preschool.
