Pennies Day Nursery - Hockers Lane, Maidstone

Our 2-and-a-half-year-old started with Pennies a few months ago and loves it. The management were great in communicating with us before she started and securing her place/walking us through the process. The staff are brilliant - so friendly looking after your child. There is a great balance between structured learning and free play/socialisation. Highly recommend.

The environment is so open maintaining safety.

Our baby loves Hockers Lane so much. All the ladies are the best! They treat the babies as their own and we are so glad we found this nursery having only moved to the area in Feb 2022. 5 stars from us! It's outstanding for a reason and the variety of what they get up to is just brilliant.

The team have been fabulous in the transition of my son coming to nursery and are very understanding of particular things around my son. I always get fabulous updates of my son throughout the day when he is there and the pictures are so lovely to see and have.

Our 3 year old son absolutely loves attending nursery two days a week. The variety of activities, structure to the day, garden time and mixing with friends have helped him to grow into a happy and confident little boy. Well done to the friendly and welcoming team at Hockers Lane.

Both our children have attended Pennies Day Nursery and we have always been very happy with the standard of care provided. The staff are friendly and helpful and most importantly the children are always happy to attend!

Our son had a good time at Pennies Nursery (Hockers Lane), though his stay was, unfortunately, a lot shorter than planned. Everyone has been very friendly and supportive, wish we had time to experience more outside the pandemic.

My little boy has quality time at this playschool. His skills and confidence have really developed since attending this playschool. The staff are absolutely brilliant, they are very loving, caring and thoughtful towards him and when he is upset that I have dropped him off at the playschool sometimes, The staff go above and beyond to send me a photo of him having the best time with his friends, which really puts my mind at ease.

My son has been going to Pennies Day Nursery for over a year and absolutely loves it. Staff are consistently informative and supportive, I get the impression they really take the time to get to know each child individually and understand their needs. My son loves going and always talks about people there in a really happy way. There's nothing negative I could say about Pennies!

We have 2 of our children at Pennies Day Nursery full time. They absolutely love it and it's clear how much they have fun and learn new things. The staff are always friendly and courteous and you know your children are in safe hands. Baby number 3 already signed up!

Our eldest daughter joined Pennies in the middle of the pandemic which was a nerve-wracking time, however, the team at Pennies went above and beyond to ensure that she settled quickly and they kept us informed every step of the way. Our daughter absolutely loves going to nursery. She’s grown so much in the time she’s been at nursery. It’s great to see the variety of activities they do with the children. The daily updates and photos have been great. The staff are friendly and extremely supportive. We couldn’t recommend Pennies highly enough.

Our eldest daughter has been at Pennies Day Nursery since 2019 and moved through all the rooms. She is now in her last year, our second is halfway through her time at Pennies. The staff have all built strong and positive relationships with the girls, they have supported both girls in developing some lovely friendships. We’ve watched the girls grow in confidence, learn and most importantly have fun which is thanks to the nurturing environment and the care they are provided with.

One of the things that drew us to Pennies Day Nursery initially was the small, family feel it had and that continues to be a strength. The staff know all the children in the different rooms and it’s apparent that relationships are valued. It’s been a difficult few years with the pandemic and despite not being able to go into the nursery the staff have kept up communication home through the use of Tapestry. It's reassuring and lovely to see the photos of what they have been up to during the day!

My son has attend Pennies Day Nursery - Hockers Lane, Maidstone since he was nine months old and he is now in the preschool room! He has a superb time here and loves going in to see what is planned for the day! The staff are incredibly caring, thoughtful and put lots of hard work and effort into the activities they plan. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they are great at staying in touch with updates and progress of the children. I shall be very sad when my son's time at Pennies Day Nursery - Hockers Lane, Maidstone comes to an end but know that he will have had an awesome time at nursery.

My daughter has been at Pennies Day Nursery since she was 13 months old and she’s now in her final few months before starting school in September. All the way through Pennies have been nothing but fantastic and my daughter's development has been out of this world. I couldn’t recommend Pennies enough. I wouldn’t have wanted any more for my daughter and a massive thanks to all the nursery nurses who are all fantastic.

My son attends Pennies Day Nursery 3 days a week. He thoroughly enjoys himself and has made lots of friends. He is learning and achieving so much and I strongly believe this is down to the amazing team at the nursery. He has even started to talk about letters and try to write them, he’s only 2.5! This is 100% down to the fantastic activities and teaching that's applied throughout his day. Thank you!

Great nursery, we have put two children through here and both have thrived. Brilliant staff and they seem to go for the extra length which is noticeable in many things but most noticeably in the meals the children are served which seem truly excellent.

We were delighted with how our daughter settled first into the butterflies room at Pennies Day Nursery - Hockers Lane, Madistone and now into the busy bees room. She has the best days there and the ladies look after her so well. We get lots of updates about her day, including photos and videos, which is really lovely. She has made lots of friends there and discovered some new skills thanks to the encouraging and caring environment. The food provided is also excellent, she eats better at Pennies Day Nursery than she does at home! We are very glad that we made the decision to send our daughter to Pennies Day Nursery and would highly recommend them.

Truly wonderful nursery and staff, it has a real ‘homely’ feel. My son has attended since he was ten months old and has loved every minute. The staff are so attentive and caring, we receive updates throughout the day which is so reassuring. The staff have been outstanding particularly through this last incredibly difficult year.

Wonderful day nursery. The staff team are friendly yet professional. They go above and beyond their duties. Covid-19 practices are well implemented and maintained by the management and staff team. Menus are nutritious and well thought out.

When it comes to looking for a nursery, if you're anything like I was, you search far and wide to try and make one thousand per cent sure that you are making the right choice. I was lucky enough to have a colleague sing the praises of Pennies Day Nursery - Hockers Lane, Maidstone and as soon as I visited, I immediately knew why. There is not a single member of staff who isn't warm, friendly and it is such a lovely environment where they genuinely want your children to have the best time. My son started when he was nine months old and the two and a half year old he has blossomed into I give a huge amount of credit to Pennies Day Nursery. He now actively asks me to go to nursery to see his friends, doesn't look back as he skips off the drive when I drop him off and the things he has come home learning about never ceases to amaze me. I promise you, if you are worried about leaving your child in daycare, I feel your pain, I remember it well but goodness me is this the nursery to take the edge off for you!
