Ickle Pickles Nursery School

Ickle Pickles Day Nursery & Pre-school is a truly fantastic nursery! My older daughter first went to the nursery 5 years ago, and my son has attended since 6 months old. He is almost 2 now and has always absolutely loved it! They settled him in so well and nothing was too much trouble. He gets excited to go and at the end of each day he chats away trying to tell us happily all about his day. The activities are fun and varied - his days are always filled with a wide variety of play and new discoveries. He eats good healthy meals and sleeps really well at nap time. He is very curious and active and seems to thrive there. Communication is great and I like how well they handle sickness and how clean it is. I really can't recommend them highly enough.

We are so pleased with our choice of nursery. Our daughter has been going since she was 9 months old and a couple of years later she is still enjoying it just as much. Wonderful, approachable staff who provide amazing care for all children, and hold the children’s interests at the heart of all their planned activities and ideas. So glad we found Ickle Pickles. We would highly recommend it to anybody looking for a nursery for their child.

The communication from the on-site management is fantastic. I am always kept up to date with what’s happening regarding my son's care or about the changes to the nursery in general, especially during COVID.

Our experience over the last year at Ickle Pickles has been fantastic. We moved from another nursery due to safety issues and I can't applaud Ickle Pickles enough for their high level of security throughout. My son also has a food allergy and they have been so calm and patient with him, helping him with not fearing certain foods. We have seen such a change in his confidence and ability to make new friends and this is all down to the wonderful staff for making him feel so special. Even at the front door, he gets the most lovely welcome and this makes him excited to go back. Their teaching is second to none he has come on leaps and bounds ready for school. Thank you so much!

My daughter has been attending here for a year now and it is lovely to see her grow in confidence and development since she has been here. The staff are always so pleasant and helpful. Added bonus that I found the perfect nursery opposite my house.

I will 100% recommend this nursery. My son is currently in Preschool and loves it. The staff are amazing, and they always keep parents updated. I love this place and so does my son. The staff really care about the children. My son had made lots of friends and has learnt so much.

Our son has been attending Ickle Pickles since he was 10months old and they are outstanding! The staff are kind, caring and really consider the needs of each child. They interact really well with parents keep you informed and always reach out when they need to. The setting is well cared for, sparks creativity and curiosity and the food provided is excellent. We have fostered a really trusting relationship with the nursery over the past 4years and we would highly recommend them to other parents.

It's very worrying and stressful as a parent to choose the right nursery for your child, but I would highly recommend Ickle Pickles to everyone, once I have dropped my son off, I know he will be very well looked after, well-fed and have lots of fun.

Ickle Pickles is a wonderful nursery. The staff are always smiling, enthusiastic and welcoming to all. I feel so happy that my daughter is in their care, and I always know she will be safe and have fun with them. Even though my daughter has been attending for just a short time, I couldn’t recommend this nursery highly enough, and I am so grateful to them for their kindness and support they have given us whilst settling in.

Couldn’t fault this nursery at all. So quick and helpful, providing my son with a space at nursery at short notice. My son is always happy to go to the nursery and always comes out happy and smiling informing me of how good his day has been. The online system of learning journals and daily diaries has been great, and it’s lovely to see updates on how he’s been throughout the day. I highly recommend this nursery!

They are thorough and efficient and I am very happy that my child, and soon to be second child, go there. Every time I collect my child they are happy and don’t want to leave!

All the staff are fantastic, and that is what makes the nursery spectacular; they go above and beyond.

We viewed a lot of nurseries before making our decision, and I’m really glad we were able to get a place at Ickle Pickles. From the start, it’s been a warm and welcoming environment. The staff are caring and friendly, a great variety of activities and a good selection of food.

Our experience over the last 6 years at Ickle Pickles has been amazing. The staff always make us and our children feel very special and it is clear they all have a passion and commitment to help the children develop into well-rounded individuals.

His key worker was fantastic and respected my wishes around food choices and put me at ease during his settling in sessions. He took a few weeks to adjust but the team assured me it was all normal and he would get into the routine. A few months on and he loves it. Being away from my little boy is so so hard but having him at this nursery makes it that bit easier knowing he’s happy. The staff have his well-being at the centre and they are so friendly. The best choice I’ve made having him there - thank you girls.

Loads of activities each day and our daughter always comes home having enjoyed her day.

We have been part of the Ickle Pickles environment for 10 years with two children attending, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the nursery. The staff are exceptional - welcoming, achieving high standards of personalised care, attention to detail and always striving to improve things. The staff have high levels of trust, honesty and integrity. They are obviously motivated by achieving the best for the children and put the extra energy and effort in to build a personal connection, especially in Pink Room and Pre-School. Whilst constrained in terms of physical space, the staff do their best to switch up themes to make the space as dynamic as possible. There is a real commitment to healthy eating and encouraging the children to try new things. A real bonus is the effort placed on messy and child-led play. The debrief is always informative and tailored to the child, despite the busy drop off/pick up. I feel the staff take the extra time to remember personal details about my child's day.

My children have been very happy throughout their time at Ickle pickles. The standard of care is excellent and staff are very friendly.

The nursery has been fantastic in the care of my child. I’m extremely impressed with the staff and management and my child enjoys every second he attends.
