Overall, we are more than happy with the facilities and provision of the preschool at Toad Hall.

Toad Hall Nursery is a wonderful nursery and fantastic environment for children. The staff are all excellent at their jobs and are brilliant with the children. Everything that makes their experience at the nursery a good one is down to them. They are attentive and extremely accommodating to all parents, particularly for those who may be slightly more high maintenance. There is never anything that is too far for the team. The activities, food and feedback loop are all well planned and thought out. We love that the team will accommodate requests around the children. If their diet, nappies, medicine or other elements are often needing a change. They are brilliant at integrating this. The communication is outstanding. They do a wonderful job of making you feel heard and understood as a parent.

Toad Hall is a caring, friendly, supportive nursery with an amazing team of staff. My child has thrived at Toad Hall with the staff always adjusting topics to suit the interests of my child. Any concerns are dealt with and resolved immediately and the office staff could not be more helpful. I would highly recommend Toad Hall to any parent who is looking for a supportive and nurturing nursery.

Little Toads is fabulous. The staff are so wonderful and my daughter loves her time here.

My son loves the staff and children at the nursery. He runs in happy and comes home happy. On the days he doesn't have nursery, he asks if he can go. We have been extremely happy with our experience at Toad Hall.

Coming to the end of my second child’s time here and I couldn’t rate the Toad Hall Nursery Hitchin team more highly. We’ve been with them for nearly 7 years in total and I wouldn’t have wanted them to go anywhere else. The staff have shown so much care and affection towards the kids and prepared them excellently for school. Would recommend this nursery to everyone!

My little one absolutely loves being in little Toads; he totally adores the staff who show him so much warmth and affection. His days are filled with creative fun activities, which means he always looks forward to going to nursery and always chats about the exciting things he's done when he gets home. If he's ever felt nervous after being off for a while, his key worker and everyone in the room have given him big cuddles and comforted him. At the nursery, he learns loads, plays loads, eats loads and is so happy. Most of all, I am so grateful for how kind everyone is to him and have found that to be the case in all of his rooms. It's a wonderful nursery, and everyone is so friendly and nurturing. Thank you, Toad Hall!

A caring, warm environment in the butterflies and badgers room which has provided our children with the lovely and supporting environment we were looking for. It reassures both myself and my husband that when we go to work, they are well looked after and content, full of smiles from her day. All the staff are so friendly, enthusiastic and always sharing little stories of the day and give us a real flavour of what the kids have been up to. We couldn't have asked for more.

We cannot thank the special team at Toad Hall enough for all the care and attention they have given our son from the first day he started, in Hedgehogs, through to the present day, in Owls. He has had his issues along the way but with the support of the staff, he has come a long way and we have seen his speech really come on and with it, his confidence blossom! As others have said, it’s clear that the staff go that extra mile to provide an enriching experience for the children and nothing is ever too much trouble. Thank you to all staff of hedgehogs, butterflies, dragonflies, ladybirds and owls, past and present (you know who you are). Our son is ready for that next step in his life, starting school. We will all really miss you all!

Incredible nursery - we have two boys in butterflies and badgers who each started at 10 months. The staff really understand their personalities and are so warm and nurturing. Their rooms are welcoming and beautiful. Whenever I’ve contacted the nursery to see how the boys are the staff have been understanding and responsive. We love Toad Hall - they’re practically extended family to us! Thank you for all that you do!

Both my little boys attend Toad Hall Hitchin and I cannot sing their praises any more. The standard of care is so high, they go above and beyond and I have two very happy and fulfilled little boys because of the wonderful work they do. All members of the staff team all play a part but eight particular individuals have had a big impact. Thank you for enriching their daily experiences and being so attentive. I would recommend you all and your lovely nursery to any other parent looking for a wonderful pre school experience for their little ones.

I came to collect my granddaughter from the Hedgehog room. All of the children were asleep - so sweet. A member of staff helped me to locate her buggy and bags, she then very gently stirred her and carried her to the car for me too, in her words, make the transition less traumatic as she was waking. So thoughtful of her and very much appreciated. I have no doubt that my granddaughter is receiving the best of care from very kind staff who definitely care for their charges.

Our little one joined Hedgehogs in January at 9 months old and we couldn’t be happier that we chose Toad Hall. Our experience has been amazing all round. The staff are so caring and supportive which really helped her to settle in and quickly grow in confidence. The environment and resources are great as well, there is always variety and different learning opportunities happening. Our daughter has attended Toad Hall Nursery since she was 9 months old and is now leaving to start school. We do not have a bad word to say about this nursery - it is very well run, and every member of staff has been so warm and welcoming. When she first started we were very confident that we were leaving her in safe hands and trusted the staff completely from day one. The communication from management is also very good, and we are always updated with any developments. Throughout our daughter's journey, she has met some amazing members of staff who have helped her grow and become the confident little person that she is today. We can tell from our daughter's eagerness to attend nursery each day that the staff are engaging and have developed lovely relationships with her. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Toad Hall to any parent and would like to thank them for making our daughter's time full of fun, love and learning! We will all miss you very much.

We have had a fantastic experience with Toad Hall nursery. Staff are always kind and seem to somehow know every child’s name. The office team are really responsive and always thoughtful with home learning ideas. The pre-school rooms, in particular, have been a pleasure - I have loved seeing how much my son clearly enjoys it and how he has developed.

Couldn't wish for a better nursery to send my son to. The staff are all so caring to the children and so supportive of the parents. Their communication is excellent too, and the staff are always there if you have any questions or worries. The activities and events have been incredible. My son's world was opened up - he'd never have experience half of it hadn't it been thanks to Toad Hall Nursery Hitchin.

We are so, so happy with our experience of Toad Hall. Our son started at almost 14 months and he settled quickly. He goes in happy and seems to have a super time there. All the staff are friendly and communicative with the parents and seem very warm and caring with the children.

My son has attended Toad Hall since he was 1-year-old and is in the Owls room. He has been in the room for nearing 2 years and will be leaving in September. He has progressed really well with the support from the staff in this room. He has improved in many areas, such as his phonics and writing skills. From day 1 of being in this room, he has been very cared for, with daily cuddles and positive reinforcement when he achieves things or does well in his work. They take an interest in him and have enabled him to grow in confidence through show and tell days and him hearing them feedback to us at the end of the day about how well he has done. It’s sad that his time in Toad Hall is coming to an end, however it’s given him the confidence he needs to move on to primary school. A big thank you to everyone there!

Toad Hall in Hitchin really went the extra mile to make the preschool graduation ceremony a wonderful event for parents and children alike. It was lovely to see the close bond that all the children have formed with their key workers and I am especially pleased with all of the staff in Owls room, who are just lovely. My son has really enjoyed his time at Toad Hall and will miss you all, especially one member of staff, in particular, who he has formed a great bond with.

As our son prepares to leave for school, having started at 10 months old, I wanted to write a review to make sure anyone reading knows just what a special place Toad Hall Hitchin is. My husband and I couldn't be more thrilled with our children's experience here. The staff are incredible - they truly care about the children and create the most stimulating, exciting and inclusive environment for them. They are patient, supportive and encouraging. Each member of staff knows both our boys' names - and it's "little" things like this that have always really impressed me. The activities they do are varied, fun and perfect for their age - I'm constantly blown away by how much effort they put into thinking of ways to engage them and stretch them. What really makes this place so special is the staff - I cannot thank them enough! On top of all this, it's expertly run by staff who are always professional, but always so warm and lovely too.
