The Rafles Nursery & Pre-school is a large independent nursery set in the back drop of the Rosedale Sports Ground. It is able to provide inquisitive minds access to quality care and education, playing fields, nature walks and a sensory garden all on its door step.

The care and sensitivity for each child is key to the nursery's success. Activities are planned around each child’s individual interests and needs, who are encouraged to develop at their own pace, so as to become independent, secure and confident, and aware of the world around them.

Extra Curricular classes brought to the nursery by experienced external professionals, supplement the care provided by the team to ensure children have an all rounded education.

My son has attended Rafles since June 2022, at the time we suspected he was on the path to being diagnosed Autistic and from the moment we met with all of the team they have done everything they possibly can to put us at ease. Doing what they can to adapt things, meaning he can learn in his own individual
way. We cannot put into words how grateful we are for everything, they have gone above and beyond what we could have ever asked for. All of the staff, even those that don't work directly with our son are so caring, loving and like extended family. All so excited to show me what he has achieved each day and our son beams with happiness around all the staff. The management have been there every step of the way with us to help secure what our son needs from the LA and education system. Endless meetings, 1:1 therapies and the countless amounts of forms, nothing is too much. We couldn't have done the last 2 years, battling through a broken SEN system without the support of everyone at Rafles.

Not sure where to begin! My son started when he was 2 just after lockdown and struggled! The attentiveness, care, attention etc list goes on is second to none. I couldn't have chosen a better nursery than Rafles the milestones my son has reached and the bond myself and him have formed with the girls
here I will never forget they are more than teachers. Every week he learns something new every week we're in the loop with activities and what they eat. The nursery is so productive which I love! They care for your well-being too. I wish he could stay here forever for his education but unfortunately it's not the case! Thank you so much to every single person at Rafles for this amazing nursery I am going to miss so much.

My son has recently moved up a room after being with the nursery for 16 months. The care and attention he has received in the baby room during this time has been exemplary. I cannot fault the staff and cannot thank them enough for everything they have done to support his development. It is daunting
having your first child attend nursery but all of the staff have been incredibly supportive and now he is part of lower preschool I am experiencing the same level of attention and care. My second son is to start with the baby room, due to my previous experience I have zero anxiety or worry. Every day I pick my child up he is happy, clean and fed. He eats everything there, veg included! And despite all of the amazing messy play activities he is always changed and cleaned up ready for pickup. I have no doubt that if I ever had any concerns the nursery would support me however to this date I have none! I would, and have, recommended the nursery to several mums, all of whom have since joined!

Rafles is an outstanding nursery, with caring and committed staff who go above and beyond for each child, recognising their individual needs and interests.
The children are actively encouraged and they learn while they play, there is always an excellent structure of learning behind each fun activity.
The children really get plenty of opportunities to be creative. They are not restricted to their classroom, the outside play area is brilliant and the children are often outside playing with the numerous toys, they also often go on nature walks to see what animals they can find and what berries they can pick and later eat. It really gives them a great head start before starting school.
The food provided is also excellent, nutritional, varied and the children say delicious!

Both of my sons attended Rafles Nursery and Preschool from the age of 1. They have both loved every minute of their time spent there. They have achieved huge milestones whilst there and it's all thanks to the support of the staff at Rafles; they are friendly and professional and feel like an extended
part of our family.
Everyone there has taken such a huge interest in the boys' development and have always ensured the children have a variety of activities and learning materials available to them as well as plenty of outdoor space too.
We are sad that my eldest is going to be leaving for big school this year as he's made some fabulous friends too but we are so glad we chose Rafles as the start of their learning journey.
Forever grateful to you all.

My little one attended from 1 year old starting from the nursery room, via Lower preschool and Upper preschool. Loved all staff in every room, and the time was always nicely organised, with loads of special events. He is a picky eater and so had to bring his own lunches, but he is always encouraged
to try nursery lunches and sometimes successfully he discovers new flavours. The menu is provided in advance so we can plan accordingly. The outside space is amazing and loads of it, which helps since we don't have a garden. You can pick from different start/finish hours to make it work for you, staff and management are flexible and caring. I couldn't recommend Rafles enough, simply an amazing place!

My son has been at Rafles since he was 10 months old and he will leave at the end of August before starting primary school.
Rafles is a brilliant nursery! The staff are incredibly caring and nurturing and my son absolutely loves going there! He has built strong bonds with the staff and children there
and he has really thrived, becoming confident and independent through Rafles guidance.
It's the best nursery in this area and the outside space it affords is miles better than any other nursery I'm aware of in the area.
Don't hesitate in placing your child at Rafles!
We will miss Rafles once my son leaves and I'd recommend it to all parents in the area.

A parent's love for a child is unconditional and they are the most precious things in the world to you. And to leave them when they are so young is one of the hardest things you will have to do, but leaving my child at Rafles was made easy by the love and care that all the staff showed him.
They have
been an integral part of him growing into the little person he is today.
I would say to anybody considering a place here for their child/baby, as a mother I would recommend Rafles in a heartbeat.

Both my children have attended Rafles and both loved it. The staff are so amazing and I felt so comfortable leaving my children here whilst I went to work.
I am very sad to say goodbye now my last child leaves this amazing nursery to start school.
Rafles is the best nursery around.

Rafles nursery is absolutely amazing! They go above and beyond to make your child’s time there the most enjoyable ever! My daughter absolutely loved her time here being excited every day knowing when she was going back, which is all you want to hear that they enjoy going, having fun but learning at
the same time.
Every single week I was sent different pictures of what they had been up to and never was it ever the same. The children get lots of outdoor time exploring new things as well.
The staff are amazing always friendly, always happy, caring and very creative with all the wonderful things they do plus nothing is ever too much trouble - it’s endless.
Rafles environment is so calming with lots of space in each room plus lots of outdoor space too.
My daughter will truly miss her time at Rafles but has accomplished many milestones and created wonderful memories she can have forever. Thank you all at Rafles Nursery.

My son has been going to Rafles for the last two years and he had his last day on Friday 27th August 2021. We had the best experience with Rafles, the staff and management team are fantastic and my son looked forward to going there every day of the last 2 years. They provided him with an amazing and
happy environment where he could learn and have fun. Rafles really helped him shape his young character. We highly recommend Rafles and we were sad that our son now has to move on to primary school and he made us promise him to take him back to visit them often.

Overall, I have been delighted with Rafles Nursery & Preschool - Cheshunt. My son started when he was six months and is now one years old. In that time he has really thrived. The nursery room staff are excellent, they keep you well informed via the app and send you updates and photos which is kind and
reassuring.His key worker is brilliant and provides updates on new skills and how he is developing. They will also do their best to work around your routine in terms of sleep and feeding. They also do a variety of activities with the children from painting to outdoor based things. When I pick up my son he is happy and has clearly been well looked after, I can't praise them highly enough.

The nursery and the staff are outstanding. The facilities are very good. The food is freshly cooked on-site every day. The staff are absolutely amazing and love what they are doing. My son loves going there every day and he has learnt so much! I cannot recommend highly enough. I have had 2 children
attend the nursery and would not go to another nursery.

Both of my children attended Rafles from 9 months old. The amazing ladies from the baby room right through to preschool and including the office staff have been nothing but supportive, caring and genuinely interested in my children’s growth and development.


The thought and care that goes into the

development of each child, for me, is second to none. They take a holistic approach to a child’s development and always provide different, interesting and fun learning activities every day, as well as lots of free play both inside and in their fantastic outside play area.


Rafles have helped me as a parent promote confident and happy children that are more than ready to feel secure and confident in the next stage of their learning journeys in a school environment.


My son leaves for school this month and I can’t help but feel sad that he will no longer be attending Rafles where he made great friends and had so much fun but I’m so grateful that he spent his early years here.

We have been using Rafles Nursery and Preschool since 2015. Our experience has been a very positive one. We would definitely and have recommended to others. Both our daughters have enjoyed their time here. We have never had an issue or problems. The ladies throughout the nursery are very approachable,
caring, professional and whom the children respond well to. The facilities and outside spaces are also very good. When we were looking for a nursery we were looking for a home from home environment and this is exactly what you get from the staff at Rafles. Rafles Nursery & Preschool do and have done a fabulous job in helping us bring up and teach our girls.

Both my 3-year-old son and 1-year-old daughter attend Rafles nursery.
The baby room is excellent at settling the little ones in with an excellent programme of visit sessions prior to starting and are so caring to the development and needs of the babies. The room is clean, modern and well equipped.
They do an excellent range of activities.
The preschool room again is excellent and they are fully involved in supporting and developing the children. They again have a large, light and well-equipped room and a lovely garden for the children to use. They focus well on the needs of individual children.
The app is an excellent tool used by the nursery for giving information about the children’s day to parents and is updated during each day.
All staff at the nursery are excellent. They are caring and attentive to the children’s needs and very professional.
I would wholeheartedly recommend this nursery unreservedly. Well done Rafles!

Rafles is a fantastic nursery set in beautiful surroundings.
I have 2 children attending Rafles and they are both very happy. The staff had made the transition period very easy and positive for both me and my children.
My children go into nursery very happy and it's great to see what they are up
to and what they eat via the Famly app.
Rafles do so many activities with the children and celebrate a variety of festivals and charity days and it's great to see all the staff participate.
All the staff are professional, friendly, approachable and amazing at their work.
My children are very happy there and come out of nursery full of smiles. I would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone who is looking for a professional, friendly placement for their children.

My daughter joined in July 2018. I viewed 6 full-time nurseries across the area of Cheshunt. Upon walking into Rafles nursery, I knew this would be where I wanted my daughter to attend. The layout of the nursery being open, bright and well organised.
The nursery staff and especially my daughter's
key carer went above and beyond to ensure my daughter settled as quickly as possible. I and other family members saw a substantial improvement in my daughter's use of numbers, colours and the grammar.
Being a full time working mum and my daughter being my only child, you can imagine she is my world and I don't often leave her anywhere without feeling guilty of missing the day to day things. That's why I absolutely champion the App. The staff are so good at posting updates and observations of my child that I feel I'm witnessing live in-the-moment and I also reap the benefit of being able to discuss with my daughter activities she's taken part in during the day.

My son started Rafles at 10 months old.
The nursery Room made the transition going back to work so much easier than I could have ever imagined. Every member of staff shows genuine interest and care not only in our little boy but also our whole family life too.
Rafles have the perfect balance between
getting the children to engage in activities and allowing them time to relax like they would do if they were at home. My child has progressed socially in the most amazing way since starting. I drop off and pick up a smiley boy who cannot wait to get out of the car each morning and see his extended family.
All staff are approachable, friendly and down to earth. Although there is a key worker system, I feel happy to speak with any member of staff and know they all have an understanding of my child's needs equally well.
I will be forever grateful for the care they have shown both my son and myself, at such an important stage in both our lives.
