The Rafles Nursery & Pre-school is a large independent nursery set in the back drop of the Rosedale Sports Ground. It is able to provide inquisitive minds access to quality care and education, playing fields, nature walks and a sensory garden all on its door step.

The care and sensitivity for each child is key to the nursery's success. Activities are planned around each child’s individual interests and needs, who are encouraged to develop at their own pace, so as to become independent, secure and confident, and aware of the world around them.

Extra Curricular classes brought to the nursery by experienced external professionals, supplement the care provided by the team to ensure children have an all rounded education.

My son has been coming to Rafles for almost 3 years now and we couldn't be happier with the level of care and attention received from Rafles. By far one of the best nurseries around. I would not hesitate to reccomend this nursery to anyone looking for a comfortable and safe environment for their children.

Rafles is an amazing nursery. From the baby room right through to the pre-school room, the staff are caring and attentive. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and there is plenty of outdoor space that the children can play in regardless of the weather. The activities are structured, varied, educational
and fun which has meant my daughter has loved every moment. The food is healthy and nutritious and very tasty as my daughter always has more than one plate! Her time at Rafles has helped her grow into a happy, confident little girl who is now ready and looking forward to starting school. I couldn't have asked for a better educational start for my daughter. I cannot thank the Rafles staff enough for providing such a memorable experience. I highly recommend this nursery.

Rafles Nursery and Preschool has been truly wonderful. After a bad experience at another nursery, finding Rafles has honestly been nothing short of healing for our family. From the moment we visited Rafles for our first ever tour, we felt a complete sense of warmth, kindness and care that put us at
ease and we instantly knew our boys would be safe and happy. Rafles have played a key role in our children's learning, and social and emotional development...our children have been genuinely so happy and this speaks volumes for the nursery and the staff because children are amazing little judges of characters! It puts our family at ease knowing that our children are safe, happy and thriving! We are incredibly grateful to the amazing staff whose dedication, patience and kindness has created the nurturing space that Rafles is, a true home away from home. Also, big shout out to the chef for the delicious freshly made food everyday...our boys love your food!

Rafles has been an absolute dream from the first day my child started till their last. The staff have been amazing and so caring, these ladies are lovely and always have a smile on their faces. My child has learnt so much and become so confident since being as this nursery. The settings are perfect
and make the child feel at home. I'm sad to see my child go as they love it here so much. Thank you Rafles for everything keep it up.

Rafles nursery is a really wonderful environment. The staff are incredibly friendly and you can tell they put their all into every child from the moment they walk in. They are attentive and really get to know each child and their families. The range of activities is great, inside and out. The use of
local parks on their doorstep is a great bonus. They send daily updates and termly reviews which is really nice to see. They have an excellent varied food menu of healthy home cooked meals. Both of my children have thrived there and I'm very happy that number three will be attending. I feel very safe in the knowledge that the staff at Rafles are looking after them.

Rafles has been a brilliant nursery and preschool for our son. The facilities are excellent. The staff are attentive and form a real relationship with the kids and parents. We're honestly sad to leave but so grateful for the experience he has had. When we were looking for nurseries cleanliness was a
big factor for us and Rafles is always clean and tidy. We would recommend Rafles to anyone looking for a place for their child.

I've been involved with Rafles for the last six years, with both of my sons attending, and I can't recommend it highly enough.The nursery has played a huge role in their development, supporting every key milestone-from toilet training and brushing teeth to recognising and writing their names. Both boys
have been well-prepared for school.


My youngest, who still attends and starts school in September, has kidney issues and needs to drink lots of water. The staff have been fantastic in supporting this, always attentive to his health and wellbeing. Every member of staff is warm, friendly, and genuinely caring. There's always a great mix of fun and educational activities, and we love the regular photo updates through the app. Rafles has been such a positive part of our lives and I would highly recommend this nursery to any parent.

Both my sons have progressed through Rafles and have thrived under their care.
When I visited for the first time, 5.5 years ago, I burst into tears as I knew this was where I wanted my son to go. The nursery has got even better since then and the staff are nurturing, committed and welcoming.
I'd
recommend this nursery to all parents looking for a fantastic early years provision for their child to flourish and begin their early education at.

Three of my children have attended Raffles Nursery, and each of them has absolutely loved it. They've always been excited to go in, which speaks volumes about the warm and welcoming environment. The staff are friendly, caring, and truly dedicated to the children's wellbeing.
The nursery itself is spacious,
clean, and tidy, with a lovely outdoor area that the kids really enjoy. I wouldn't want my children to attend anywhere else. The value for money is excellent, and the opening hours are a huge help for working parents like myself.

A Truly Special Nursery - Like a Second Home
My daughter started at the nursery at 11 months old and is now graduating. From the very beginning, it's always felt like a family. The staff are warm, caring, and genuinely nurturing - she has been loved, supported, and encouraged every step of the way.
She's learned so much and grown into a confident, happy little girl. The outdoor space is lovely, and they go above and beyond to make things special - from hatching chicks and keeping them for weeks, to now having ducklings. We're so grateful for the wonderful start they've given her - it's a place full of love, learning, and joy.

The atmosphere at Rafles has felt so warm and welcoming since that very first day we visited. All staff, from the chef to the office and room staff, are friendly and professional. The team in each room got to know my boys so well, so I'm confident they are able to spot changes in them quickly and address
them immediately. They show kindness and love through their tone, language and genuine affection for them which has helped them become the caring boys they are. Staff are receptive to feedback, always willing to listen and make every attempt to problem solve in a solutions focused way.
The quality of activities and learning across all rooms is excellent. I am so impressed with how advanced their skills and vocabulary are and attribute that to the broad curriculum they offer. The toys and facilities are excellent, especially the amazing outside area and the way the staff take the children out walking to the pond and to picnic in the nearby areas.
I cannot recommend Rafles enough.

I truly cannot speak highly enough of this nursery. After searching high and low (and even having to use an interim option while we waited for a place), I can confidently say it was more than worth the wait.
The attention to detail across every aspect of care and education is unmatched. From the daily
structure and activities to the way each child is truly seen and supported, it's clear how much thought and passion goes into everything they do. My children are absolutely thriving in this environment - socially, emotionally, and developmentally.
The team are nurturing, communicative, and clearly love what they do. I feel so reassured every day knowing my children are in such safe, supportive, and inspiring hands. It's more than just childcare - it's a foundation that sets them up for the best possible start in life.

When my daughter started Rafles, she had some obstacles to overcome with her speech, emotions and physical development. During her two years the support and love she received was beyond anything I could have asked for. Not only educationally but the love and care she was given made her the confident,
happy, loving little girl she's become.
Her Key workers always went above and beyond to make sure she was reaching her milestones and always challenged her to excel in the most fun, creative environments.
The research they put into helping her receive the outside support and resources that she needed is the reason why she's thriving today.


As well as the key workers, all the staff understood my daughter and her needs and always helped and guided her. I knew she was safe and cared for both emotionally and physically and the friendships and bonds she made is one to this day we still have and will forever cherish.
Rafles truly helped myself and my daughter and we will forever be grateful!

I absolutely love Rafles, my son started here first and my daughter has just left and we have had the best time here.
The staff are all amazing, taking wonderful care of our little ones and providing all the education and stimulus they need to grow with a wide range of activities. We love the sports
element and the chef prepares fantastic yummy homemade food. The outdoor space is amazing and used daily which we found great as our kids are so active. I looked around a few nurseries but rafles just felt like home and they didn't disappoint. I would highly recommend them and are so sad we don't have a need to be there anymore.

My experience with Rafles has been nothing short of exceptional. From the start, we felt a warm and welcoming atmosphere that put our minds at ease. The staff are incredibly caring, attentive, and genuinely invested in the well-being and development of each child. They go above and beyond to create

The facility is clean, safe, and equipped with a wide range of educational toys and activities that keep the children engaged and learning. I've noticed significant progress in my son's social skills, language development, and overall confidence since starting. The communication with the nursery is fantastic. Rafles Nursery and Preschool is a lovely setting and we would highly recommend it. They have gone above beyond for our child and made it possible for him to go to nursery. Our son has type one diabetes, they made sure that staff were trained and that he was well looked after and supported. They kept
us informed and communicated regularly with us. Everyone knew who he was and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. They think about everything and have lots of different activities to help with children's development. They have helped ensure our son is ready to start school, his confidence has grown and he has loved his time at nursery. We are so thankful to all the staff.

My daughter has attended Rafles for the last 4 years and we could not have asked for more. The care, love and support from all of the staff at Rafles has been amazing, for her and also for us as a family. They have helped my daughter grow in many ways, but especially in her confidence. The activities
that are planned are so well thought out, themed, educational and fun! We love that there is so much outdoor space, with the mud garden being a firm favourite. Sports day and graduation day were so special, thank you! It's been such a pleasure to get to know everyone over the years and we leave this chapter with precious memories.

My child entered Rafles at lower preschool and has absolutely loved it, as have I. She has loved the easily accessible outside space in addition to the walks the staff take them on in nearby surrounding green spaces. There are always fun and educational activities being planned, with world or religious
events being marked too (Olympics, Christmas, Divali etc) my little one particularly started coming out of her shell when she engaged in circle time, a little morning gathering with smaller groups to talk about their weekends or their letter or number of the day. With a fresh food menu my child has explored lots of different foods with always healthy additions to any meal with good snacks, too. Staff and keyworkers have always given good feedback at pickup time and provide reviews periodically about my child's progress as well as some contact in the daytime regarding naptimes, nappy changes and what food they've eaten, as well as key room activity updates. Would highly recommend Rafles.

I have had my children at Rafles for 6 years now and while preparing for my youngest to leave for school we will be so sad to not be visiting Rafles anymore, they have been a huge part in our lives. My children have all had a home-from-home experience while being cared for, all the girls are absolutely
brilliant. The activities are constant and there is always an option to suit their mood and needs. The outdoor space at Rafles is incomparable to others in the area as they have multiple gardens and the adjacent fields, a pond and a playground, rain or shine my kids love to be outdoors exploring and Rafles facilitate this, not afraid of getting messy. Rafles do an excellent job preparing the children for school, starting phonics work and writing which is a great start to their learning journeys to begin.

My daughter attended Rafles from the age of 1, starting in the nursery room, transitioning to lower pre-school and finishing up in upper pre-school. She has formed beautiful bonds with staff in all 3 rooms and has been supported to make lovely friendships with her peers. The staff at Rafles have always
exceeded our expectations, providing the children with wonderful experiences and activities to celebrate special occasions. The facilities are well equipped and looked after and they make great use of their glorious outdoor spaces. She has learned so much and gained an abundance of confidence at Rafles and is now fully prepared to start school.
I'm glad we followed our instincts with choosing Rafles for our daughter and have and will continue to recommend it to all parents looking for a nurturing nursery for their child.
