We have procedures in place to ensure that parents feel comfortable in allowing us to manage their child's allergies, like health care plans and colour-coded placemats, it's great to hear you know your son is in safe hands, that is all we want as parents is to know they are safe and well looked after.

My son started nursery this month and has settled really well. His face lights up when we pull up outside. When he started he hardly spoke and I've already seen such a difference in his speech. The staff are all so lovely, understanding and nurturing. I wish he had started sooner!

Personally, I have had lots of anxiety and stress around leaving my child to go back to work, and I wasn't happy with any childcare setting my husband and I had visited (both nurseries and childminders), until we went to Kindred Hemel Hempstead to have a look around and meet the staff. Our little boy has been going to Kindred Hemel for 18 months now and adores it! It's a beautiful nursery to the side of a little farm with a lovely countryside setting. Our son is now in third room out of four and has enjoyed his time in each. The transitions between rooms have been really well managed, with lots of settling in sessions in the new environments with new leaders, and he always moves along with his friends. He loves to point at the staff photos and tell me who everyone is, and talks about them at home as well. The rooms are great, very spacious with lots of toys and activity stations. There is a big outdoor area with play every day weather permitting. He's developed and learned lots thanks to nursery, both academically and socially. We love to get his artwork sent home, and see updates of what he's been doing on the app. Thanks to everyone at Kindred!

Our son has just started in the pre-school at Kindred after moving from upstairs. He has been finding the transition quite tricky. The staff have been amazing at helping him to settle and reassuring us as parents that all is okay by sending updates and photos throughout the day. When we go to pick him up, he has a big smile on his face and tells us all about his day. We're very pleased with the support that our son is getting and also the support we get as drop-offs have been quite emotional.

Not only so that you have all the day-to-day information that you need for your little boy but also so you can feel supported and happy that he is ok with us once you have left him in our care. We love our app and how it allows us to send you a message and/or photo so quickly to show that everything is good and that he's settled and happy. Having joined the nursery back in 2010 and completing my NVQ Level 3 as an apprentice, I aspired to become a manager and achieved this in 2022 when I became the Deputy Manager. After our manager of 23 years retired, I stepped up to manager in August 2024.
I have an unwavering commitment to early childhood development to ensure we give the children the best start. We take pride in our outdoor provisions, which really enhance communication and emotional and physical skills.
