Harpenden Day Nursery

The staff are consistently kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. We've also really appreciated the opportunity to attend stay-and-play sessions, which has made us feel more involved in our son's nursery experience.

Both our daughters love being at nursery. Despite some high staff turn over recently (like all nurseries), the new staff have welcomed our second daughter brilliantly who has just started. Our older daughter says she loves the food and phonics sessions!

Our little girl has had such a wonderful time at the nursery. She has made a lot of friends and feels very safe here. I feel like the staff do a lot for the children and activities like the phonics etc. Help get the pre schoolers ready for school.

The nursery staff have been very welcoming and did their best for my son to have a smooth settle in the nursery. They have been attentive and supportive and ensured it was a great environment for him. He is now well settled and leaves with smiles at the end of the day.

We are very happy with the staff at Harpenden Day Nursery. My kid came back this week from nearly a month off, and he was super happy and smiling to his teachers! He is my second kid going here and we are very satisfied with the way they learn and develop. The nursery keeps improving year after year and it is also a delight to see the staff grow alongside the kids. Strongly recommended.

So happy with the nursery. The staff are so engaged, they put a lot of effort into activities and special events for the children. We just started here with our toddler and our baby will start later this year.

Harpenden Day Nursery really is a home away from home. My daughter has settled so well and from the first time we saw the nursery we knew she would be very happy and well looked after there, the entire building is full of happy babies and staff!

Our son started at the age of 9 months, settled in very quickly. Staff are very helpful during setting sessions. He loved to be at nursery and appears happy with the day routine. Staff are very helpful with providing regular updates on the app. Thanks for all the support.

We have had our boys at the nursery (one has just recently left for primary). Couldn't speak more highly of the staff within the nursery, they have a lovely ethos, team spirit and are understanding. The team really works with parents if there are any issues or concerns and my boys have been really happy there.

My granddaughter has just gone on to Reception at a local school after having been at Harpenden Day Nursery since she was a baby. A naturally cautious child, I have seen her flower into a confident, aware and sparky pre-schooler under the expert care of the team at Harpenden Day Nursery. Without such a superb environment - both fun and educational - in which to grow up, I am certain that the transition into school would have been more difficult. I loved hearing my granddaughter's stories of what she got up to at nursery, and the extremely proactive nature of drop-offs and handovers meant that we were always fully aware of her progress and of any issues. We still cook together some of the recipes from nursery recipe cards, a favourite being pizza pinwheels! I know she will want to pay you all a visit at some stage! Thank you once again for being such an outstanding team, and I wish Harpenden Day Nursery all the very best for the future.

I have had 2 children at this nursery, 1 still being there and I honestly wouldn't have wanted them to be anywhere else. The staff, environment and overall nursery is perfect for us. We are regularly up to date with our child's progress, communication is brilliant. It has that home-from-home feel for the children, from each of their rooms to the garden and we are so lucky to have found them.

We love sending our son to Harpenden Day Nursery. He was previously at another nursery in the area and we were not happy with the level of care and attention given. In contrast, Harpenden Day is a fantastic nursery, they really get to know the children, my son is very happy going there. My son has some additional needs and nursery have been very proactive about meeting his needs and helping his development. Management, room leaders and the nursery practitioners are all a credit to the nursery.

We are very happy with the nursery. It offers a nurturing, caring and stimulating environment for our one and four-year-old. The staff are all incredibly kind and attentive. The children are given a lovely warm welcome every day when they come into nursery and they come out smiling. It's surpassed all our expectations and we would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking to find a happy place for their children to spend their time.

Lovely nursery. My 3-year old goes here. Very friendly and caring staff who my son quickly bonded with. Good variety of activities. Main thing is that my son is happy going in each morning! There was a lovely moment when on his first day back after being off for a few weeks he was reluctant to say bye to me, but one of the staff came over and with a lovely combination of care and enthusiasm made him feel better and he was soon happy to go in.

Me and my daughter absolutely love this nursery! She always goes in happy and comes out happy the staff are amazing and friendly always very helpful and gives a full debrief at the end. Also, I know exactly what my daughter has been up to! Would 100% recommend this nursery to everyone.

The nursery staff have constantly strived for excellence at this nursery, and the care and love they put into looking after my son is incredible. I'm so grateful to all the staff and would recommend anyone to bring their child here.
