My 20 month old attends Busy Bees at Mardley Hill and has done since I returned back to work when he was 7 months.

The staff are extremely professional and well presented. The environment is both clean and welcoming with age-appropriate toys in each class. The activities are varied every day and

most enjoyable to look at on the interactive parent app supplied so I never miss a thing.

The meals and snacks are out of this world, all cooked by their own in-house chef and make me quite jealous I only have a sandwich at work.
The staff make you feel totally at ease leaving your precious cargo with them and nothing is too much to ask.
The staff go above and beyond to help both you and your child fit in.
Very happy mummy here. Keep up the good work.

This an excellent day nursery and preschool. I visited after recommendations from other parents and sent my first child here in 2014. He really thrived and we noticed that his speech and confidence around other adults and children improved.
He even asked to go to nursery on the days he was at home
so the decision to increase my working hours by an extra day was guilt free. He was so happy that we kept him at the preschool.
He has settled well into school, which is thanks in no small part to the preparation that the preschool gives their children for school. So sending my younger son here too was an easy decision and he loves it just as much.
The staff are so kind and helpful. The food is all freshly prepared on site. It's well worth the outlay.

My 18-month-old daughter loves her time at Busy Bees. The environment is clean, nurturing and caring with plenty of age-appropriate toys and activities. The staff genuinely care for her needs and take pride in supporting my daughter's development. The team of staff are almost identical to the team who
cared for my twins 7 years ago. To me, this low staff turnover demonstrates the stable and happy environment of this day nursery.

We are very happy with Busy Bees. Great staff, facilities and excellent food (I'm a nutritionist so fussy!). The manager is very supportive and has worked with us to help our little one settle in. While it took her a while to get used to the nursery, she now loves it and doesn't want to leave!

You can see why the nursery is DOUBLE OUTSTANDING. I was very apprehensive about returning to work and leaving my son, but all the staff helped to settle him. Nothing is too much trouble for them if I am having a bad day or my son is finding the separation hard in the morning the staff are always quick
to send a photo to me to show how well he has settled. The staff are all longstanding and this also made a difference to me when choosing a nursery as this shows commitment to a job and you can truly see that they all love their jobs in the nursery. The food he consumes whilst at the nursery is so good that I wish I could stay for lunch too! The feedback is great during the day too which advises me on sleep, food, development and general well being. I would highly recommend this nursery to others.

I cannot even begin to describe how lucky we are to have found this nursery! Staff are superb and treat my little girl as their own!

They not only support her in her own development but support us as parents too. Communication is excellent, and you can approach any member of staff!

The facilities

are fantastic and activities provided are varied and I know our little girl absolutely loves her time at nursery!

It makes it so easy to go to work knowing she is cared for, enjoying herself, fed well, happy, growing, and that they are helping her to become an independent and confident little lady!

We absolutely love Mardley Hill Busy Bees and all the staff. And my daughter definitely has a secure a long term bond with her key worker!

The manager is amazing and I sometimes just like to go to have a chat! Very welcoming, friendly, what else could you ask for!

I whole heartedly recommend this nursery! Thank you, guys! Xx

An amazing place for little ones to explore and grow. My daughter loves the staff at Busy Bees at Mardley Hill and I truly believe that being at Busy Bees is helping her development. I can not recommend this Nursery more. I was a very sceptical mother and didn’t want to leave my toddler but it is clear
to see that not giving her this opportunity would be robbing her of having fun and enjoying her friends and the lovely staff at Busy bees.

He's been going since he was 6 months old and is now approaching 4, we

Both of my daughters attend this nursery / pre-school and they absolutely love it there! My partner and I have always been delighted with the care given to our children. I’ve always felt there is such a lovely ‘home from home’ atmosphere at the nursery, which the children love and makes me feel very
comfortable as a parent; it’s like leaving the girls with family for the day. The staff are the backbone of Mardley Hill, very experienced, always smiling, always caring and always happy to accommodate whatever the children need.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this nursery and I’ll have a heavy heart when my girls have to leave for school.

When our daughter started at Busy Bees, we were very nervous but excited. When we took her into the nursery the staff were magnificent. They made it such a fantastic experience for not only our daughter, but also for us. Dropping her off in the morning seeing our daughter want to go to nursery absolutely
makes my heart melt!

The manager and the rest of the staff at Busy Bees have been amazing in the upbringing of our daughter and we will always be grateful for that. Not only are they awesome staff but we have also created a great bond and friendship with everyone involved at Busy Bees.

I couldn't recommend this nursery highly enough. Both my boys have attended since they were 1. The eldest, now at school and the youngest still there. Both boys have been so happy at this nursery, always excited and happy to go in and when I pick them up they love telling me what they have been up to.
The staff are truely amazing, very caring with the children but also the parents, they go out of their way to ensure everyone's happiness and satisfaction. I know my boys have had the best start from attending Mardley Hill Busy Bees and are thriving on the back of all the learning experiences and support they have been given by the team.
I had no idea what to expect when my eldest first attended, but quickly gained peace of mind knowing he was very well cared for. The meals are healthy and nutritious, the garden is fab and a great space for learning and play in the fresh air. There is so much for the children to do. The manager and the team deserve every credit for their hard work and outstanding care.

If you are looking for a safe, fun environment where your child is free to grow and develop, this is the place for you! The whole team are warm, approachable and that can be clearly seen by the way the children interact with them. Great garden, great food, and always a great review from my two children
when I pick them up who are always happy to see the team. The Team have always when possible been able offer great flexibility in times of need, and with two so young, their help and support has always been most welcome. A fun safe place!

My son has been attending this nursery for a year now since he was 10 months old. Although I was initially anxious about leaving him, from the first week he has loved attending, always starting and finishing the day with a smile. Every single one of the staff are warm, caring and friendly, always engaging
directly with my son and making us both feel so welcome. His key worker and those working in his room are fantastic and we discuss my son's development and well-being on a daily basis either face-to-face or via the online app.
It is a wonderful nurturing environment which I feel so happy taking my son into and in which he is thriving. The food menu is amazing, well balanced and varied - helping little ones to explore new tastes. They have an outside all-weather play area which means at any opportunity the children are outside in the fresh air.
I'm thrilled that we chose such a fantastic nursery and would recommend it without hesitation.

My eldest daughter has been attending for over a year, and my youngest is signed up to start when I return to work next year! We love this nursery, my daughter can't get out of our front door quick enough on nursery days, she has her second family there. The staff are always super friendly and helpful,
and the food prepared on site is yummy (not only does my daughter eat it all but I have tried it myself!).
Her development has come on leaps and bounds, and I can see the genuine affection the staff have for her. It means I can be sure she's in safe hands and really cared about. I have no hesitation in recommending.

Both my children have attended Busy Bees Mardley Hill and have thrived as a result. The care they have received is second to none, and we have never doubted that their interests are first and foremost with the team at Busy Bees. The communication between us and our children's carers is excellent and
frequent, and we get regular feedback on how they are getting on. We feel completely involved and in control of their care, even when we can't be around. The preschool is also amazing, and we were amazed at how prepared for "big" school my son was when it was time for him to move on. Education, happiness and safety are visible every day. The children have opportunities to do sports, learn foreign languages, go on trips to the library and are really encouraged to be independent.
They have lots of time outdoors, and every activity is an opportunity to learn as well as have fun. The team are so lovely you feel like nothing is too much of a problem. A truly excellent nursery.

This is an excellent nursery. The staff and management are very caring, kind, approachable and professional. My son has now been attending for over a year and we can honestly say he enjoys every part of his time at the nursery. The size, location and facilities are excellent and provide my son with
everything he needs to learn and develop. The staff are always in constant communication regarding my son's development via a new online application which helps promote transparency and efficient communication.

The kitchen amenities and onsite food menu is to a very high standard as well as the large, secure outdoor play area which is well equipped for the kids and looks absolutely amazing.

I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone and wish all staff and management the highest level of continued success going forward.

Busy Bees Mardley Hill is an excellent and dynamic nursery, where my child always attends happily and with a smile. The staff are always wonderful, welcoming, positive and friendly, making the nursery a wonderfully caring environment. The home cooked meals are always nutritious and the variety in the
menu is immense. My child started at the age of 4 months and it has become a second home to her. She has really thrived within this nursery environment which is both educational and full of fun packed days. The nursery keeps all parents posted of the daily activities, food, nappy changes and observations which allows you throughout the day to keep you informed. The learning is varied, engaging and enjoyable. The children are nurtured and it is evident are growing into wonderful little people ready for school. I feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful and caring nursery where I know my child is developing and enjoying her time there.

I have 2 children at this nursery; my eldest who has been attending for 3 years and my youngest who started in September. I cannot fault the staff and facilities at Busy Bees at Mardley Hill and my boys absolutely love the time they spend there. They are always happy when I pick them up and tired out
from the wide range of activities they do in the day, both inside and outside in the garden. The amount of learning they achieve through play is great and parents are always kept up to date with what they are doing and achieving. This has been made even easier recently with the introduction of an online diary tool enabling parents to log in and see what their child has been doing, eaten, etc.
I trust the staff here 100% and they make an often initially difficult task of leaving your child so much easier. They feel more like an extended family for my boys now rather than a childcare provider.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.791) out of 10 for Busy Bees Mardley Hill is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 15 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.916 for Busy Bees Mardley Hill is calculated as follows: ( (166 Excellents x 5) + (11 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 179 Ratings = 4.916
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.875 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Mardley Hill is based on 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.875
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 52 number of registered child places is 10.4, which has been reached with 15 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
