Montessori by Busy Bees St Albans Hatfield Road

My daughter has been attending the nursery since January 2019. I would highly recommend this nursery; the staff are outstanding, so caring and friendly. My daughter looks forward to going, and I can see how much she learns while there. She is becoming a confident little girl and all thanks to the lovely staff!

Thank you so much Busy Bees, Smallford, my son has loved his 18-months with you. The nursery staff have been wonderful, so friendly and caring. He has always been happy to go in every morning and loves to tell us all about the fun he has had with his friends. We’re sad to say goodbye as he starts his next stage at reception.

My daughter attended for 9-months before joining the school, and my son has been going for over 1.5 years. Both love their time at the nursery. My main reason for recommending is due to high standards in learning and education. The level of care is also very high, meals are well balanced and in general, things are run very professionally. At various points, our personal circumstances changed, and I appreciated the understanding and flexibility that was given. I also believe their approach during the covid situation has been truly admirable.

Note: I put 'satisfactory' in the value for money section because I think the pre-school childcare in the UK needs a complete reform towards affordability.

We are so happy with this nursery and preschool and our 2 children both settled quickly and love it. The staff are amazing and have built up such good relationships with our boys that some days the oldest is sad to come home! The rooms are perfectly set-up for the age range and the garden space is lovely with plenty to keep the little ones interested. The rooms and facilities are clean and the meals are nutritious so have peace of mind that the boys are eating well there. The standard and quality of learning is high and our oldest is about to start primary school and has already learned so much from preschool so is well prepared for the change, although he is going to miss it a lot!

Our daughter has been coming to the nursery for almost 2 years. During the lockdown, she has been really missing it and she was so excited to come back. The staff are brilliant and also in these challenging times, they are fully engaged to ensure that the children are happy. This made the return to the nursery after 3 months much easier. What I love about the nursery is the friendliness of the staff who makes you feel like at home and the time the staff spend with the children doing activities such as handicrafts, reading etc. Thanks so much!

Every member of staff, from the manager to cook, are involved with looking after the children. This is great as you know that everyone there knows your child and cares for them.

My daughter's development both educationally and socially has come on leaps and bounds since joining in January of this year. Her days are filled with fun and educational activities, and the food provided is also very well prepared with quality ingredients. Totally recommend this nursery to anyone in the local area.

Since joining the Nursery my son has developed in so many ways. He is more confident and balanced and looks forward to going into nursery every day. He loves the teachers very much and the teachers are very approachable for parents. My son has developed singing skills and is always making new rhymes/songs and singing. All the members of the nursery are very supportive and nurturing and provide warm and loving care, including encouraging him to eat and drink at all times.

Great place with friendly and skilled staff. My son loves to go there and he has improved speaking, listening, sharing and confidence since he started. I feel confident when I leave him there because I know staff members are taking good care of him.

My granddaughter has been attending Busy Bees from just after her first birthday. On the occasions when I have collected her, although a little tired, it has been evident that she has enjoyed her day. The staff are extremely caring and always provide information about nappy changes, the food consumed and the rest time. The environment is pleasant and there is a sound structure to the day. I would have no hesitation in recommending this nursery to any parent.

Our son has been going to the nursery since he was 18 months and we cannot be more thankful to the manager and her team. The staff truly go the extra mile for the children, getting to know each one as an individual. They work extremely hard to adapt to the children learning their likes and dislikes. They are very well equipped with different resources to keep the child occupied whether it is in the garden or inside. The development we have seen in our son is unbelievable.

My daughter loves the nursery. She is happy, lots of exciting activities. Staff are happy and helpful.

Excellent nursery and fabulous staff. I could not wish for my child to go to a better nursery. This nursery have brought out more of my child’s confidence and independence. Staff are very friendly and helpful and very approachable. I would recommend this nursery to anyone and everyone. They get parents involved in everything they do. My child is very happy here.

My 2 children have been very happy. I must say our contact with the staff is excellent. Very happy. The nursery has changed a lot for the better since my children started in 2015.

He loves going to nursery and they take great care of him while he is there. They have a lot of learning activities while allowing the kids to play and have fun with their friends. They're very receptive to parents and the communication between us and the nursery is excellent.

Both my children have now attended this excellent nursery and have loved it. It is well run with exciting activities and the staff genuinely care for the children. I feel like my daughter's key worker knows her well and they have a lovely relationship. The nursery is a positive and happy place, with lots of things always going on. The quality of care and teaching is excellent, as is the homemade food. I have always felt happy and confident to have my children here.

Stability of staff can also help the children be more settled.

Our daughter has settled into this nursery and is extremely happy there. All the staff are incredibly engaged with the children and all seem genuinely happy doing their jobs. Compared to other nurseries in the area it is a warm and friendly environment.

Both my girls love it here and talk about their key workers at home wanting to go to see them. They have settled in very well thanks to the amazing staff and the care is fantastic.
