Good Manors Day Nursery Stubbington Lodge

My daughter loves her time at nursery. She is kept very busy and always comes home full of great things to say. The staff are caring, welcoming and knowledgeable.

We really love and thank everyone working at the nursery who have helped our daughter settle in after a struggle to begin with, she now loves going. They take such good care of her, play games, read books, sing songs and she always seems to love the meals they do. Would really recommend this nursery to anyone!

Our son has been attending Good Manors since he was 11 months and is now 2 and 4 months. He settled in perfectly in the baby room for the first year and loves it in the tweenie room now that he is 2. The nursery has a lovely balance between developing his independence and nurturing him. He has a food allergy and they cater to him especially each day. The staff are all amazing, very friendly ad really put effort into know the children and parents as individuals. I would (and have) recommend Good Manors to anybody looking for childcare in Portsmouth.

The nursery has been a safe haven for children, despite difficulties caused by COVID-19, the nursery staff remained professional, friendly, welcoming and focused on delivering fantastic care. my daughter loves attending the place and is excited about daily activities, food and friends that she meets every day. There is always a welcoming face at drop-offs and pickups. There is no problem with retrieving information about what’s been happening in groups, I’ve always been very well informed about incidents, achievements, problems, the time my daughter has in general. I’m extremely happy with my choice and would recommend the nursery to anyone considering childcare for their children.

Stubbington Lodge is exemplary. I'm always impressed and reassured by the staff, they have a fantastic attitude which I know will be a positive influence on my daughter. I always see that my daughter experiences new and different activities each day and through the app the team does a great job at clearly describing key interactions.

Both my sons have attended Good Manors at Stubbington Avenue and they have loved every minute. My youngest son is still there and thriving, he enjoys all the fun activity's and has become very forward in his development starting. He also suffers with some food intolerance issues to which the staff have been really great and accommodating, he always enjoys his meals at "playgroup" and often goes back for seconds. There has been lots of changes to our lives this year with covid-19 but the nursery has always been super consistent and clued up health and safety-wise, even during lockdown they sent videos of their teachers reading some of their favourite books and spoke to us all on the phone to keep the normality going. I really can't thank the girls there enough for taking such good care of my boys and would recommend this nursery to anyone.

My daughter loves her time at nursery and will constantly ask if it's a 'nursery day' every morning! The staff are lovely and I enjoy seeing the daily diary of what she has been up to throughout the day.

An excellent nursery with genuinely caring and friendly staff. My son has developed so well with their support. Lovely setting with outdoor space and ranges of topics/themes and activities to keep the children engaged. Management are open and honest, dealing with issues promptly and fairly.

Overall the nursery is a good nursery.

Good Manors, Stubbington Lodge has been a massive part of our family for many years. My son has been going since he was 7/8 months old and will leave this year to start school. He has had nothing but nurture and care from the very beginning. They have structure and he learns something new everyday. He is comfortable with everyone and absolutely loves going there. We will be sad to leave this year, such a professional run nursery with nothing but the children’s growth and development at the heart. An amazing nursery with fantastic well trained staff.

This is a truly wonderful nursery. Staff are so friendly and caring towards the children and nothing is too much, they were amazing when it came to potty training. My little boy has been here 2 and half years now and loves it. It has such a homely feel and they do so many activities with the children, including learning a new sign each week plus they have a home-cooked lunch every day. Each day all activities and photos taken that day are uploaded onto their app.

My child settled in pretty quickly, he now lives going to nursery, his speech has come on immensely since starting at this nursery. All of the staff are fun and helpful with any specific requirements or queries. Cannot fault this nursery at all.

We will very sad when he has to move on to school!

I feel the level of care to my child has been high, my child has always wanted to attend the nursery and has good relationships with more than one staff member.

My daughter has been at the nursery for 3.5 years and I feel her safety is key to them at the nursery. My daughter has made some really nice friends. The food is always cooked at the nursery on the day which I like and elevates the stress of me having to sort out food each day for her. Her favourite member of staff makes her feel comfortable and happy.

I want to thank everyone for all the care and knowledge that was given to my child. You do an amazing job.

All the girls seem lovely, friendly and hard working. My child has started coming out of her shell since starting at your nursery so thank you for your hard work and making me as a parent feel at ease when she’s in your care.

Would highly recommend this nursery. My son always comes home smiling and telling me what he has done. The staff are very friendly and always greet my son lovely when he arrives. The daily activities he does are very well thought out and can see from the pictures that my son enjoys these activities.

Sending our son to Good Manors Stubbington Lodge was the best decision we’ve ever made! He is on the ASD pathway and all the staff are so adhering to his needs, they are amazing especially his key workers and SEN manager. Thanks to Good Manors my son has improved massively with everything, communication, behaviour, skills and relationships. They support me when I need them most, which has recently been due to lack of support from outside organisations. They are very persistent with all his forms/letters to ensure our family, the nursery and our son receive the right help on this ASD pathway. I am so grateful for everything they have done for us as a family and would honestly recommend this nursery to all. They deserve the recognition for all their hard work, especially with the current situation going on with the world right now.. they email daily for support and updates, they have supplied us with a timetable and activities whilst in isolation. Thank you so much!

Both our 4 and 2 year old have been with Good Manors since 9 months old and we couldn’t be happier with our choice of nursery. The days are always well structured, fresh meals prepared on site and they have both formed very close relationships with staff and children. All the children are catered for according to their individual needs, the staff are caring and always have time for parents no matter the time of day. Fantastic nursery.
