We love this nursery. Our daughter thrives here. The staff are like her second family. They meet her daily needs and development with ease. They are friendly, professional and extremely knowledgable and go above and beyond.

The team at First Steps have proved themselves consistently over the past 18 months to be very focused and attentive to my daughter's requirements. The atmosphere is always calm and relaxed and we are always welcomed with a smile. My daughter has always enjoyed her time at this nursery and I have been very impressed by the level effort that is given to the quality of the activities and interaction this is provided. Most impressed.

Fantastic nursery and amazing staff. Cannot fault this place, our son loves coming to nursery here. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming, the room is always spotlessly clean and the food always smells incredible! Our son has settled in really well and has made a great connection with a certain staff member which is lovely. We love the fact it is such a small and family like nursery as it seems to make all of the children so much happier and feel at home. I wish there was a little more outdoor space as our boy loves the outdoors but space can't be helped.

My daughter is currently 1 and has been attending twice a week for full day sessions since she was 9-months-old. Being a first time Mum, the whole idea of leaving my daughter to go to work was really daunting and scary but the whole team made the situation feel so relaxed, comfortable, easy and really positive. They understood my worries and still to this day, do everything they can to make me feel at ease adjusting to leaving her at nursery. Every day I collect her, she seems really happy and content being there and I believe she always has fun while she's there and I think the experiences she has with learning and play have really helped her grow in leaps and bounds. The team constantly create fun and different activities for the kids to do, I look forward to seeing everything she gets up to at nursery on the Learning Log Book Journal online. I highly recommend this nursery!

I can’t recommend First Steps highly enough. After a few months, and the most patient and lovely nursery staff ever, my very loud and clingy daughter couldn’t be happier to go to nursery. They offer a great variety of activities, games and learning tools and are great about keeping the parents appraised of their kids days. I also love the wide variety of meals and snacks provided for the kids, always taking into consideration any allergies or intolerance. Everyone there is wonderful with the kids and have an unending supply of patience. Highly recommend!

My daughter has attended First Steps @ Roko, Portsmouth since she was 18 months old - she is now 4 and has progressed so much, in all areas of her development, during this time. I couldn't be prouder of what she is achieving and a huge part of this is down to this nursery. The staff are superb (very friendly, firm, fair) and they really go out of their way for all of the children. All of their food is fresh, healthy, cooked on-site and actually tastes amazing - I have tried it for myself! I cannot rate First Steps @ Roko, Portsmouth enough.

We have recommended to a friend whose daughter now attends and our own daughter will be joining once my maternity leave ends. Nothing but good things to say about First Steps @ Roko Portsmouth!

My son has attended first steps since he was 9 months old, he is currently three and a half. They made me feel at ease when he first started at the nursery, reassuring me of routines and informing me in detail about the day that he has had when I collected him. He has a strong bond with his key worker who has supported me at each stage of his development, and with his transition into the older group. I would highly recommend first steps, they genuinely care about the children they are looking after, mixing education, fun and social skills together to really enable the children to be school ready. My son looks forward to his time at nursery and I feel comfortable leaving him in there care. I am very happy that I chose first steps as my childcare provider.

My little girl loves going to first steps. The staff are great, very caring and knowledgeable. The open atmosphere is perfect and let's the children move through the years without fear or worry. I recommend first steps to everyone!

My daughter has attended First Steps since 11 months and she is now getting ready to leave for school. The nursery has a lovely atmosphere and my daughter certainly has lots of fun. She has been well cared for and has learnt such a lot. Very happy with the nursery.

My son has attended the nursery since January 2016, he really enjoys it and loves all his friends there.

I moved my son from another nursery and am really pleased I did, as I haven't been disappointed.

They are a very professional nursery and the staff are always very helpful and welcoming.

My child has been coming here for 3 years now. I have always felt happy leaving her at the nursery and feel she is very happy at nursery. Staff are approachable and available to answer questions. Good communication.

Great staff and atmosphere. We've always felt welcome and happy with the service from day one. Staff are excellent and always chirpy, giving full reports on my daughters day when i pick her up. She has always loved going to nursery here, and she gets to do yoga, arts and crafts, dancing, painting, searching for bugs in the garden and little trips out in the nice weather. I know that she is always safe and happy at First Steps when i leave her.

This nursery is amazing my daughter loves it she enjoys it so much and has developed so well. Some friend's children go there as I recommended it and they all do so well, it's sad my daughter is leaving in July to start school.

We have used this nursery with both our children for 8 years. We have always been made to feel welcome and our children have both enjoyed their time here. The setting is bright and engaging for the children and the use of the attached gym facilities such as the studio and swimming pool are an added bonus. Our children have been taken on many visits and have had opportunities to become involved in activities such as swimming and dance. The children are also lucky to have a nice outside area to play in during the warmer months. The staff are caring and supportive and keep parents informed regarding their children's welfare and progress. Parents are invited in for parent/child events during the evenings and weekends which allow working parents to see some of the activities our children are involved in. We are sad that come the summer both our children will be going to school and we will no longer be using this excellent nursery where the staff have become like family to us all.

I've always been extremely happy with the nursery and staff. My daughter loves going to nursery and often asks to go at the weekend!!
